Who Wore Chloé Better Zhang Ziyi or Olivia Palermo

Zhang Ziyi wore a Chloé Fall 2013 look consisting of a black polka sheer shirt with contrasting white trims with a polka-dot tulle skirt while fulfilling her judging duties on the ‘X Factor’ China finale back in June.

It was a look we didn’t love, especially when styled with white pumps, which many of you have never warmed to no matter how popular they became on the red carpet.

Olivia wore the same skirt with the runway top while attending the ‘Chloé Attitude’ book launch in Paris last month. She styled it with Manolo Blahnik pumps and a Dior clutch.

Both ladies proved that this was best left on the runway, but I will give this to Olivia as she went for the simpler runway top.

Who Wore Vionnet Better Zhang Ziyi or Sandra Bullock

On a rain-soaked morning, Zhang Ziyi made her way to the studios of Good Morning America to promote her movie ‘Grandmasters’ wearing an orange Vionnet Resort 2014 drop-waist frock styled with Louboutin pumps, Tesiro earrings and Repossi rings.

Sandra Bullock wore the same dress in the look-book blue-and-orange hue while making a guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

I love both versions of the dress, but if I was presented with both, I would go for Sandy’s version as I would find myself having more fun styling this two-toned look.

Who Wore Alexander McQueen Better Naomi Watts or Naomi Campbell

Back in June, Naomi Watts wore a black leather Alexander McQueen dress with a flounced hem which she styled with a Proenza Schouler ‘Lunch’ clutch, Sergio Rossi ‘Oblo’ sandals, and a gold necklace while attending the ‘Ray Donovan’ LA premiere.

At the time, I felt that this dress wasn’t Naomi’s style. That was further compounded when Naomi Campbell wore it last month while attending a party for her reality show, ‘The Face’.

Even with those heavy Alaia booties, the dress was more in tune with her style…so Nay Nay wins for me.

Who Wore Christian Dior Better Anha O'Reilly or Angelababy

Ahna O’Reilly attended the screening of ‘Jobs’ back in August, wearing a Dior Fall 2013 pale-pink silk bustier and black-and-off-white silk skirt with a draped detail on the hip. She styled it with Neil Lane jewels, a Dior clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

Angelababy wore a dress both to the photo call and the premiere of ‘Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea’ last month when promoting the movie with co-star Carina Lau.

Opting for a simpler styling, Angelababy added just Dior pumps to her look.

I prefer the look on Ahna as the skirt doesn’t make her hips look wider like it appears on Angelababy. Plus, I prefer Ahna’s shoes.

Who Wore Carolina Herrera Better Michelle Obama or Crystal Reed

Michelle Obama wore a Carolina Herrera navy-and-silver wave-pattern dress featuring bow accents and a square neckline from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection for the dinner hosted by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel back in June.

She styled the look with kitten heels – naturally – and a pair of drop earrings which perfectly complemented the dress.

Crystal Reed – who has had several memorable Carolina Herrera moments – wore the same dress to the BAFTA LA TV Tea Party last month.

She kept her styling just as simple, opting for stud earrings.

You may remember that I thought this dress was a tad too twee for the First Lady. I much prefer this dress on the ‘Teen Wolf’ actress as it suits her sweet girlie-girl style.
