Who Wore Christian Dior Better Marion Cotillard or Aura Garrido

Marion Cotillard wore this colour-block Christian Dior Resort 2014 strapless dress with a rise-and-fall hemline to the ‘Blood Ties’ Cannes Film Festival premiere.

Sporting a voluminous bouffant, she styled the look with Chopard jewels and black ankle-strap Dior pumps.

Spanish actress Aura Garrido wore the same frock to the José María Forqué Film Awards earlier this month, opting for subtle Magerit jewels, white Ursula Mascaró pumps and a matching Jimmy Choo clutch featuring gold hardware.

Aura wins this for me as I love her sleek hairstyle and her accessories, preferring her white pumps over Marion’s black.

Who Wore Monique Lhuillier Beth Behrs or Nikki Reed

Beth Behrs wore a pretty pink Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 lace strapless gown to the 2013 ACM Awards back in April.

The ‘Two Broke Girls’ star styled her look with crystal drop Vram for Gray Gallery earrings and metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Fitch’ sandals, opting to style her hair into a simple bun.

Earlier this month ‘Twilight’ star Nikki Reed wore the same dress in a pastel-blue hue to InStyle’s post-Golden-Globe party, styling her look with a DVF clutch and metallic sandals with a slicked-back hairdo.

It’s almost impossible to choose, but I find myself more captivated by this dress in blue with the silver accessories, so Nikki wins for me.

Who Wore The Kooples Better Joanne Froggatt or Laura Whitmore

Last month Joanne Froggatt attended the British Independent Film Awards 2013 wearing a black strapless jumpsuit from The Kooples.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ star, who usually opts for more colourful looks, styled her jumpsuit with a black Louis Vuitton clutch and simple black pumps.

Irish TV presenter Laura Whitmore wore the same jumpsuit last week, opting to go a bit further with her accessories, adding a white blazer, a Kate Spade New York clutch and a Jennifer Behr gold-spiked headband.

While I appreciated Laura’s styling efforts, less was more in this case so Joanne wins for me.

Who Wore Mary Katrantzou Better Rebecca Ferguson or Han Dantong

British singer Rebecca Ferguson was the first to wear this Mary Katrantzou Resort 2014 ‘Trinkolo’ dress to the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards last month.

Her sleeveless printed party dress featuring a high round neck, a rose-and-trellis-patterned bodice and a voluminous circle skirt in a contrasting pattern was styled with the most unsuitable shoes for such a pretty frock.

So I was delighted to see Han Dantong take the styling down a notch and make this look all about the dress when she wore it earlier this month to the 2nd Sohu Fashion Achievement event.

Taking the volume in the skirt down two notches also improved the overall effect of this look.

Easy win for Han Dantong.

Who Wore Tom Ford Better Jourdan Dunn or Hayden Panettiere

Back in November Jourdan Dunn attended the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards wearing a Tom Ford black-and-white panel halter gown with a side slit, which she styled with a black Stark clutch and white sandals.

On the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday, Hayden Panettiere shared with Ryan Seacrest that she has been asking Tom Ford to loan her a dress for quite some time. I wonder if she knew she was being given a re-run.

Hayden’s styling was completely different. She opted for an ivory clutch and black pumps, adding a Jennifer Meyer diamond-encrusted flower brooch to the neckline.

Jourdan’s styling is much preferred. Hayden’s is a bit all over the place, starting with those heavy pumps.
