Who Wore Chanel Better Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Miley Cyrus

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a strapless striped Chanel jumpsuit to the Chanel Pre-Oscars Dinner back in February.

She looked stunning and elegant in this Chanel creation, which she styled with a Chanel pearl necklace, a black Chanel ‘Lego’ clutch and a very subtle pink lipstick.

Since cutting her hair into a very short pixie cut, Miley Cyrus’ fashion choices have become riskier and bolder.

She wore the same jumpsuit while attending the Seacrest Studios event held at CHOC Children’s Hospital in California last month. She did not over-accessorize it, completing the look with a plain gold choker and bright-red lipstick.

Rosie was effortlessly elegant in this look whereas Miley looks like she had more fun with it, so Miley wins for me.

Who Wore Alice + Olivia Better Mena Suvari and Bella Thorne

Amping up the retro feel of her Alice + Olivia strapless printed dress with a full-skirt, Mena Suvari added vibrant red Brian Atwood pumps and a matching lip colour to her look for the Australian premiere of ‘American Pie: Reunion’ back in March of 2012.

Just over a year later, Disney star Bella Thorne wore the same dress, which she belted, to the LA premiere of ‘The Host’.

Also opting to wear her hair up and apply a red lip colour, Bella styled her look with black strappy sandals.

I was captivated by Mena’s styling then, and that still applies now – she wins by a long mile for me.

Who Wore Roland Mouret Better Samantha Barks, Karolina Kurkova or Natalie Dormer

Roland Mouret’s ‘Abbotsford’ dress has been worn by celebrities on three separate occasions and in two different colourways.

‘Les Mis’ actress and red carpet newcomer Samantha Barks was the first to wear the black-and-green version to the 2013 London Critics’ Circle Film Awards back in January.

Opting for subtle jewels and an updo, she added metallic-silver Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps to her look.

Karolina Kurkova wore the same dress in green-and-white with Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina’ pumps for her guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ the following month. Only Karolina can make me fall in love with a look which features white pumps.

When Natalie Dormer attended the ‘Games of Thrones’ LA premiere she wore her ‘Abbotsford’ dress with black pumps.

I prefer the green-and-white runway version over Samantha’s black-and-green. Natalie’s footwear was totally wrong for this dress and Karolina took my breath away, so it was an easy win for the leggy Czech model.

Who Wore Peter Pilotto Better Michelle Dockery Candice Swanepoel

Back in January, Michelle Dockery wore a Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 dress to Entertainment Weekly’s Pre-SAG Awards party in Los Angeles.

She gained several fashion points for her daring choice, worn with red pointy pumps, red lips and gorgeous statement earrings.

Candice Swanepoel wore the same dress last month while attending a Victoria’s Secret Swim party, opting for plain black pumps and a simple top-knot.

Despite the mumsy updo, Michelle wins for me – mostly because the look was so unexpected, but also because I prefer her choice of accessories, and that bold red lip works perfectly with this look.

Who Wore Gucci Better

For the Golden Globes InStyle After-Party, British actress Kate Beckinsale chose a Gucci Spring 2013 gown in a pretty pink colour over the saffron runway version.

Her ruffled column gown was styled with gold accessories, with her brunette locks swept up into an effortless bun.

Two weeks later, Bipasha Basu attended the 2013 Stardust Awards in Mumbai wearing the same dress in the runway hue, sadly over-accessorizing with an opulent necklace.

Four days later, the same gown hit the red carpet in Sydney, Australia courtesy of Gracie Otto. She opted for the minimalist route, simply adding a Gucci ‘Aristographic’ clutch from the same Spring 2013 collection.

Kate wins for me as I adore the gown in pink and her styling of this look; however, if I could ever afford this gown I would select the saffron hue.

WWIB Prabal Gururng

Back in June, Zoe Saldana attended the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards wearing a Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 gown.

Her daring black gown with a plunging neckline, sheer inserts and a flowing chiffon skirt was simply styled with a bun and smoky eyes. This gown definitely ranks highly in Prabal Gurung’s hall of fame, alongside Zoe’s red ‘Star Trek’ look – which was the designer’s red carpet debut – and Jennifer Lawrence’s gold ‘Hunger Games’ gown.

At the time, I said I couldn’t imagine anyone else doing justice to this gown, but Deepika Padukone made me eat my words when she wore the same gown earlier this year to the 58th Idea Filmfare Awards in Andheri, Mumbai.

She also opted to keep the styling simple, but she did take the look up a notch with a bold red lip colour.

Honestly, there is not a lot in it. I will give this to Zoe as I preferred her Nicholas Kirkwood heels over Deepika’s sparkling pumps.
