During Lupita Nyong’o’s epic awards season run, the actress wore an Altuzarra ‘Marlene’ Pre-Fall 2014 pale-blue frock styled with a Dior Fine Jewelry ‘Pre Catelan’ yellow-gold, diamond and chalcedony ring and matching earrings, plus a divine pair of Bruno Magli lilac patent-leather ‘Olabisi’ pumps.
One of the rare non-bold-coloured non-printed pieces we saw from her during this time.
Toni Collette wore the same dress in black while attending ‘The Realistic Joneses’ opening night after-party, which she styled with a plexiglass clutch and a statement necklace.
Preferring both the styling and the colour, Lupita wins for me.

Emma Roberts wore this red Fendi Spring 2014 silk jacquard fil coupe mini dress with a broken lines motif to the Vanity Fair Oscar party back in March. She styled her look with Dior Fine rings, red satin Brian Atwood ‘Kaela’ pumps and a deep shade of red applied to her lips.
Cut to April, and Kate Upton was spotted on the red carpet in Munich, Germany, where she attended the premiere of ‘The Other Woman’ wearing the same dress.
She also styled her look with a rouge lip, completing her look with sexy blown-out waves.
For me this comes down to the shoes.
Are Emma’s too matchy matchy or are Kate’s too expected?
I’m going for the latter so Emma wins for me.

Rita Ora attended the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards wearing a black Calvin Klein gown, saving her gorgeous pink Elie Saab Spring 2014 gown for her exit from her Amsterdam hotel to meet her fans.
Quite rightly we were upset that such a beautiful gown went to waste, hoping it would be worn again.
So up stepped Sarah Davidson, who donned the pretty pink gown for the Academy of Country Music Awards
While I prefer Rita’s shoes, that brash blonde hair and red lip cheapened the look for me, so it’s an easy win for Sarah.

Naomie Harris was the first to wear this Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2014 LBD with a sexy twist while attending the 9th annual Los Angeles Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest opening-night ceremony back in February.
The cut-out, pearl-accented dress was played down with a conservative approach to styling, with black Christian Louboutin ‘Air Chance’ pumps and a silver Jimmy Choo ‘Carmen’ box clutch.
Dianna Agron wore the same dress to a Vogue dinner back in April, adding pops of red via her pumps and lip and styling the look with Jennifer Meyer rings and an Edie Parker clutch.
Those red pumps win it for Dianna. It was also great to see her step out of her comfort zone here style-wise.

Cate Blanchett attended the opening night gala of the 10th Annual Dubai International Film Festival back in December wearing a gorgeous Valentino maroon short-sleeved cady gown featuring a column skirt and a cape-style bodice with overlay falling down her back.
What made this look so special was her breathtaking Hervé Van der Straeten ancient artisan-inspired tiered gold necklace.
Elettra Wiedemann wore the same dress to the New York Observer relaunch event, styling her look with red Jimmy Choo cut-out sandals and a Sabine G. white-gold necklace with white diamonds, emeralds and blue sapphires.
Elettra’s shoes don’t work for me; I find them quite jarring considering the simplicity of the rest of her look. However, with that necklace and her regal pose, this was an easy win for Cate.
