2005 seems like a life time ago, but that’s when Kate Hudson first wore this metallic Roberto Cavalli strapless gown when she walked the red carpet for “The Skeleton Key” London Premiere.
The strapless gown is alluring with its golden colour, pleats and knotted bodice detail.
Kate casually accessorized her look with gold bracelets, and keeps her hair and make-up simple in order for the gown to do all the talking.
Lisa Rinna wore the same dress 4 years almost to the day, when she attended the “HollyRod Foundation’s 2009 DesignCare event honoring Michael J. Fox”.
She accessorized with a matching metallic clutch and a gold bracelet.
Kate wins this easily for me. Rinna’s orange glow cheapens the gown.

George Clooney has a new girlfriend, so that must means he has a new movie to promote.
Elisabetta Canalis is George’s current flavour of this red carpet season, and the genetically blessed couple looked outstanding walking their first red carpet together at “The Men Who Stare At Goats” premiere during Venice Film Festival.
Him in a dark suit, and her in a stunning teal Roberto Cavalli strapless teal gown with black peep-toes and a black clutch.
Her Cinderella moment would’ve been so perfect had Shu Qi not worn the same dress 5 months ago.
The 2009 Cannes Film Festival judge Cavalli gown to the “UP” premiere with a diamond necklace.
I was considering giving this win to Elisabetta as I love the colour against her skin, but then I noticed the tattoo on her arm and moved my vote to Shu.

Nikki Reed was one of the many stars invited to “Elle Magazine and Express Hit the Road TXT L8TR Campaign Event” held at Nobu in West Hollywood recently.
The Twilight star opted for black Stuart Weitzman peep-toes and a black Coach clutch with her Alice + Olivia plum dress.
This is the perfect summer statement dress with its draped detail, scooped neckline and spaghetti straps.
Malin Akerman wore the same dress but opted for nude accessories including Zara sandals and Jalda clutch, when she attended the “Supperclub Dinner Party” in LA last month.
And finally Kourtney Kardashian wore this dress to announce to the world that she was pregnant, when she arrived at BET to promote her TV series “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami”.
She added YSL Trib Two’s and a Lia Sophia necklace to her shortened dress.
I love Malin’s fresh approach by not sticking to black accessories, so she wins for me.

You can buy this dress from Shopbop.com for $275. Or Net-A-Porter International in a beautiful teal colour for £255/€313.

Last week Amber Rose and Kerry Perry unknowingly wore the same RM Edition by Roland Mouret Mona dress on the same day.
Amber wore her coral dress when she went shopping with her boyfriend stylist Kanye West.
The pair shopped at Intermix and other boutiques on Rodeo Drive.
We usually see Amber wearing spandex, or something quite distasteful but this fits in neither category.
The blonde bombshell wore her dress with large gold bangles, gold framed sunglass and gold trimmed strappy sandals.
Later that same day Katy Perry was seen arriving at the Chateau Marmont in LA, following her guest judge stint on American Idol wearing the same dress.
Her dress looks pink, but I wouldn’t be surprised if her dress was actually the same colour as Amber’s due to the harsh flash light from the paparazzi camera.
Both women looks outstanding in this dress, Mr Mouret really knows how to cut a dress to flatter the female form.
Amber wins for me as I love her gold accessories, which gives her look an exotic flavour.

After her hike up Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Comic Relief Cheryl Cole headed to 10 Downing Street to meet with Prime Minister Gordon Brown with her eight fellow celebrity climbers.
Cheryl of course stood out wearing an ivory knee length Alexander McQueen lace dress with tan Rupert Sanderson platform heels, accessorized with a couple of simple bangles and coral Kenneth Jay Lane Coral droplet earrings.
Lily Cole wore the same dress with black and white strappy sandals when she attended a screening of ‘Time Bandits’ at The Electric Cinema in London back in June.
I can’t resist those coral earrings which add a pop of colour to her look, so Cheryl wins for me.

Rihanna opted for an edgy Louis Vuitton ensemble straight off the runway when she attended the 3rd annual DKMS gala back in May.
The look included a raspberry tulip skirt, metallic top, chunky choker, black knee-high Cancan boots and a red clutch.
Kerry Washington also sported a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton when she arrived at a charity luncheon during Cannes Film Festival.
Her nude tulip skirt was worn with a silver metallic bustier, a matching silver clutch and gold LV Cancan ankle tie heels.
As Kerry’s look was well paired together with variety of different looks from the runway she wins for me. Plus I love that she still look cute whilst wearing something edgy and unexpected. I don’t feel like she is trying to hard at all, unlike her competition.

Malin Akerman brought out her hidden sex kitten wearing a metallic Elise Øverland Fall 2009 cold-shoulder mini dress, when she attended the “Svedka Vodka Sessions” event at Private Park in New York back in July.
She kept her look very simple, only opting for lace open-toe booties.
“The Hills” bad girl Kristin Cavallari wore the same dress belted to the Nylon Magazine party last month.
She debuted a new blonder ‘do, whilst pairing a YSL clutch and ankle boots with her look.
I’m all about detail, and the gathered detail on the front of Kristin’s dress is lost when she adds the braided belt, so Malin wins this for me.
