Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Back in June last year, Jennifer Nettles wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2011 dress to the 2011 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.

The singer paired her leather-and-lace dress with an asymmetrical neckline with black strappy sandals.

Former ‘Gossip Girl‘ star Jessica Szohr wore the same dress to the Valentino Rodeo Drive flagship store opening in Beverly Hills in March.

With her jet-black hair pulled back in a ponytail, she completed her look with dangling earrings, an onyx cocktail ring and black studded Valentino slingbacks.

I prefer the dress with the looser-fitted A-line skirt, so Jessica wins for me.

Sporting tousled waves, Emmy Rossum looked sensational wearing a Cynthia Rowley Spring 2012 dress on the ‘Conan’ show back in January whilst promoting season two of ‘Shameless’.

Her summery white lattice dress with a fluted skirt was paired with a beautiful pair of electric-blue pumps which added a pop of colour to her fresh look.

Ariel Winter wore the same dress to the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards last month.

The ‘Modern Family’ actress, who opted for a side-swept ponytail, looked super cute, but she let herself down by teaming her white dress with black Aldo wedges.

Emmy wins for me.

Olivia Wilde wore this beautiful Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 black silk strapless gown with a black crystal and sequin embroidered velvet belt detail to the 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held in West Hollywood back in February.

The actress accessorized her look with a gold choker, matching bangles and a Salvatore Ferragamo gold-and-black fold-over clutch. A high bun, cat eyes, and a nude colour provided the finishing touches.

Kelly Ripa wore the same gown last month whilst attending The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center 5th Annual Spring Ball in New York City.

The TV presenter’s gown, which was slightly modified to include thin straps, was accessorized with a black box clutch and a black peep-toes.

Soft waves and pink lips completed her look.

Olivia wins for me as I love the gold accessories, plus I prefer the gown strapless.

Natalie Portman attended the 2012 Golden Globe Awards back in January wearing a custom-made Lanvin gown.

Her gorgeous fuchsia-pink-and-red strapless gown with a dramatic gathered detail on the hip was styled with a raspberry clutch and diamond jewels.

Ni Ni surprised me by wearing the same gown in black and taupe to the Lanvin fashion show in Beijing, China, last week.

Despite the overly dramatic nature of the gown at such an event, she looks undeniably beautiful accessorizing with a gold cuff and black sandals, completing her look with a low bun and pink lippie.

The gown makes more of an impact in pink, so Natalie wins for me.

Amy Adams wore a stunning Roland Mouret dress to the LA premiere of ‘The Muppets’ back in November.

This chic red-and-ivory ‘Herbert’ frock with black accents was our first look at this collection on the red carpet.

Her alluring dress, which she teamed with nude Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps and statement earrings, showed off her flawless figure.

Amanda de Cadenet wore the same dress to an InStyle event held in her honour last month.

The photographer and TV host opted for all-black accessories for her dress which had black shoulder straps.

Amy wins for me. The fit is more flattering, her styling is more polished and her accessories are more complementary.

You can buy their Roland Mouret dress from Net-A-Porter US, Net-A-Porter International and Browns Fashion.

Taraji P. Henson shone as brightly as her ‘Outstanding Actress’ award which she was honoured with at the 2012 NAACP Image Awards back in February.

The actress graced the red carpet wearing a silver Randi Rahm beaded gown with crystal web-like sequins and crystal diamante detailing.

A grey clutch and subtle silver jewels completed her look.

Country singer Miranda Lambert wore the same gown in gold while picking up multiple awards including ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards last month.

Looking equally stunning, Miranda also matched her jewels with her dress, adding Fred Leighton gold earrings.

The gown obviously has the Midas touch, but Taraji wins for me.

Whilst I love the gown in gold, I feel Miranda should’ve worn her hair up.
