Style Spotlight – Dree Hemingway

Dree Hemingway is the great-granddaughter of Ernest and daughter of Mariel.

On Dree resume she’s noted as both an actress and a model.

Most of us will know her more as a model, as she’s appeared in campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Gianfranco Ferré, Salvatore Ferragamo, Paco Rabanne and DKNY.

You may have seen her editorials for Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro and Vogue and she’s walked for Givenchy, Calvin Klein, House of Holland, Karl Lagerfeld, Giles, Chanel and Rue du Mail during Fashion Week.

Most recently I’ve been turned onto her red carpet style. As she loves to have fun on the red carpet.

She’s fearless and she’s not afraid of colour.

Style Spotlight – Giovanna Battaglia

This month’s Style Spotlight falls on Giovanna Battaglia.

The Italian born former Dolce & Gabanna model, is the fashion editor of L’Uomo Vogue and also works as a freelance stylist.

During Fashion Week she’s one of those effortless stylish women sitting in the front row.

She has over 3,300 people lusting over her style on Facebook, and style bloggers like Scott Schuman, Garance Dore, Tommy Ton love her too.

What I also love about her is that she’s not just a clothes horse. She had plenty of character and mounds of personality.

Giovanna’s style is elegant and classic, but she does do edgy from time to time.

She’s not afraid to repeat a look like Anna and Victoria Beckham.

But like VB, I much prefer Giovanna’s street style to her red carpet style. Read More…

Style Spotlight – Bianca Brandolini D’Adda

This month the “Style Spotlight” focus is on Bianca Brandolini D’Adda.

The stylish Italian socialite, model and actress has been catching my eye a lot lately, as she has been wearing are a lot of fabulous pieces to many society events.

She is the sister of boho-chic icon Coco Brandolini, daughter of old Valentino muse Georgina Brandolini and she’s a good friend of Giambattista Valli – fashion and style is clearly in her DNA.

In 2008 she was named by American Vogue as one of their ‘Best Dressed of The Year’, and I think she’s doing a pretty good job this year wearing Alberta Ferretti, Valentino Couture, Giambattista Valli, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and many more.

She’s absolutely stunning as well as stylish. Some girls just get all the luck. Read More…

Style Spotlight – Shala Monroque

Shala Monroque is a fashionista who shouldn’t be under the radar.

The fashion writer, Editor-at-Large for Pop magazine and blogger has impeccable taste.

She’s not afraid of fashion often wearing bright bold pieces, but she can also been seen wearing more timeless classic pieces like the look above.

I love how she accessorizes with stand out pieces to add a touch of pizazz to some of her looks.

Like most fashion editors footwear is vitally important. Her Prada studded heels are still one of my favourites of that Spring 2010 season.

Her trademark has to be her turbans. She’s been donning this head-wear long before they were deemed cool. Read More…

Style Spotlight – Miroslava Duma

Miroslava Duma is the daughter of senator Vasily Duma but has made her own name by taking massive strides into the world of fashion. She is the darling of the Russian fashion scene, an It Girl with a wardrobe to die for.

Best known for coveted collection of Hermes bags and Louis Vuitton scarves, Miroslava never puts a fashion foot wrong. She can be seen at all the fashion shows and has a loyal (and some might say obsessive) online following.

Miroslava started at Harper’s Bazaar, Russia and now contributes to L’Officiel Russia, Glamour Russia, the style section at Russian OK Magazine, and Russian Tatler.

Miroslava favourites used to be Missoni and Miu Miu, but she now admits to favouring designers such as Prada, Bottega Veneta, YSL, Lanvin, Alexander Wang and Russian designer Vika Gazinskaya.

As if she didn’t make us green with envy enough already she is also a young humanitarian and founder of the charity, “Mira’s Planet”.

Her style has just the right amount of edge to it and she does dressed down chic so well. She styles herself immaculately without looking too “put together”.

Take a look at some of her best ensembles below.

Style Spotlight – Christine Centenera

Christine Centenera is the Fashion Editor for Harper’s Bazaar Australia and Lara Bingle’s stylist.

Recently Christine has become the subject of many fashion and style blog  thanks to her achingly cool style achievements. Showing up to local and international fashion events has created perfect photo-ops-made for catching this on-trend lady.

Christine is a leading head in fashion and we wouldn’t expect anything less than a strong developed sense of style. With a natural edge and soft, pretty features Christine remains approachable-looking.

She mixes and matches her wardrobe and isn’t afraid to wear things more than once.

I’ve found some of the top picks of Christine’s personally styled pieces to share.

Here is Christine supporting local Australian Designer and fellow Aussie Josh Goot.

This brilliant Spring 2009 dress is a psychedelic splash of fun and vibrancy.

Layered with a serious black jacket, scarf and gloves Christine smartens the look, toughening it further with those patent to-die-for YSL’s.

Again combining two different feels- laid-back battered denims and a white tee with a sharp statement Balmain Fall 2009 jacket.

The high-end jacket says luxury but the denim and tee oppose this giving a ‘just-thrown-together’ look. This has a great feel.

She sure know how to vamp it up, though.

Christine shows us how it’s done in amazing Gucci fall 2009 platform thigh-high boots. I love the mix of slouchy and body-con. It’s comfortable yet exudes cool.

Christine is lucky enough to have a stunning piece of Prada to flaunt and here she heightens the luxe feel of a sheer Chloe shirt with a Prada costume jewellery necklace.

Green gems are natural-looking and add attention-grabbing shine to her outfit.

Proving just how shiny and special they are to her, Christine’s YSL Tributes have made regular appearances accompanying all from dresses to jeans.

They sex-up a lot of what she wears and are flawless-looking giving Christine added height and dominance as a modern working woman.

Christine is apparently ‘a self-confessed sucker for anything with studs, metal detailing or patent leather. Perferably all three at once’.

I love the rock sensibility of her look and these Givenchy Fall 2009 beauties harden a soft grey marl dress worn by Christine during Paris Fashion Week.

These shoes show who’s in charge.

Keeping it simple but daring to be different with smart fashion-forward touches are the key to Christine’s look. Her recipe for successful dressing comprises of sticking to block colours that are comfortable whilst playing with layers.

And final ingredient; a killer heel.
