Style Spotlight: Justin O’Shea

For the last few seasons I have been intrigued by the bearded dude I was always seeing around at fashion week.

My first thought was he must be a stylist, but Justin O’Shea is actually the Buying Director of

They say don’t judge a book by its cover. The cover may say biker or rocker, but the man, who decides what we wear, is regarded as a fashion icon for his sharp, snazzy style. Read More…

Style Spotlight: Anya Ziourova

It takes more than expensive clothes and the ability to put together a decent outfit to count yourself amongst the upper echelons of street style stars. And if you want to know how to earn that illustrious title for yourself, look no further than stylist and Tatler Russia fashion director Anya Ziourova.

Anya’s eye for colour and shape allows her to piece together ensembles that seem completely outrageous, but take on a new life under her experienced eye. Not to say that she can’t do understated elegance too — the lust-worthy nature of Anya’s style is that even the simplest shirt comes alive when paired with the right shoes or bag.

So it’s official: the best way to get a little fashion-inspired is to take a look at some of Anya’s street style looks, but be prepared to want to think very far outside of the box. Read More…

Style Spotlight: Elisa Nalin

You know the stereotype that fashion girls love black, don’t smile, and think fashion is très important and no laughing matter? Well Elisa Nalin has proven time and again that the above stereotype is also false. A lover of colour who is always ready to crack a smile for the camera, Nalin — a Paris-based stylist and style consultant — is the ultimate when it comes to fashion’s favorite street style darling.

Elisa seems to interpret every major trend with ease, so it’s no surprise that her talents are sought after by Dazed & Confused, La Perla, Le Bonmarché and numerous other industry heavyweights.

Elisa’s style aesthetic is evident from her list of favorite designers, which includes Dries van Noten, Pierre Hardy and Christian Louboutin. But don’t take our word for it.  Everything you need to know about this Italy-born fashionista’s style can be found on today’s bevy of street style sites.

Style Spotlight: Ulyana Sergeenko

Ulyana Sergeenko is a Russian photographer, designer, stylist, blogger, fashionista and occasional model.

I have been meaning to do this Style Spotlight on her for a while as I first saw Ulyana back in July during Fall 2011 Couture Fashion Week in Paris. Since then I have noticed her popping up on a lot of style blogs.

I was immediately drawn to the unique beauty, doll-like features, perfect pout, impeccable style and incredible grace – she doesn’t walk, she floats. Anyone who has seen her will know exactly what I’m talking about.

It is impossible to not notice her. Her style is a combination of 19th century Russia with a fifties vibe. The interesting thing is she mixes things up all the time which makes her fascinating to watch plus she’s not a slave to trends.

Her credentials are often scoffed at because she’s married to a billionaire, but you can’t buy style (see ‘Herve Leger loving’ billionairess Tamara Ecclestone). Read More…

Style Spotlight: Michelle Harper

The phrase “style icon” is a term so casually thrown around that it’s easy to forget the qualities that make a true icon.

Today’s Style Spotlight however, couldn’t be on a more worthy and deserving subject.

Michelle Harper is the incredibly stylish and avant-garde Colombia-born, New York-bred philanthropist and business woman.

Currently serving on the board of directors for FIT’s Couture Council, Tata Harper Beauty and Casita Maria, Michelle is a prominent and renowned fixture on the New York scene.

We first took notice of Michelle’s avant-garde style back in 2009 when she attended the MOMA Film Benefit: A Tribute To Tim Burton in a gorgeous Zac Posen dress, who is one of her favourite designers.

Naming Victor de Souza, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent as more of her go-to designers, it’s no wonder Michelle’s unique style is colourful, dramatic and constantly evolving.

She also loves accessories, wearing designs by milliners such as Yazbukey, Rod Keenan and Piers Atkinson – a favourite of another fashion superstar, Anna Dello Russo. Read More…
