Effortlessly chic as always Marion Cotillard walked the red carpet wearing a one shoulder black Elie Saab dress with a 3/4 sleeve and an exaggerated shoulder.

I love the hair and make-up with this look. Like Penelope Cruz earlier, the less make-up they appear to be wearing the more beautiful they are.

The French actress is widely known for wearing Dior, on this occasion she opted for a pair of Dior Fall 2009 heels which added a touch of glamour to her look along with a Christian Louboutin Lolita studs clutch.

Mariah Carey has been up for several awards following her success in the movie “Precious”. As a result she has started dressing more aappropriately on the red carpet.

Gone are the dresses 2 sizes too small with necklines that plunge to her belly button, and in comes this stunning Herve Leger gown covered in sparkling black sequins which she pairs a with a cropped cardigan.

Mariah wouldn’t be Mariah without some bling and a butterfly, and this is exactly how she accessorized her look.

Anna Kendrick looks divine wearing a layered strapless J.Mendel dress which we first saw on Amanda Seyfried in the August 2008 edition of Vanity Fair’s Bright Young Hollywood Issue.

I loved the lilac sash paired with the dress when Amanda wore it, so looking as Anna I feel like that’s what would have made this look even better.

Gold Jimmy Choo “Nina” strappy sandals and a wavy updo complete the look.

Regular readers will know that coats on the red carpet is a HUGE no-no in my book, but oh my gawd it was bitterly cold in London last night – and even more so today – as it snowed for the first time this year.

On Monday I said in my fur trend post that everyone in London appears to be wearing fur coats, and here’s the proof.

Stacey Solomon opted for a crop jacket, which would hardly have been enough to keep her warm as she opted for a layered dress paired with nude peep-toes and NO tights.

What a red carpet trooper.

Singer Beverley Knight also opted for a cropped jacket over her grey asymmetrical dress, which she paired with Stella McCartney perforated thigh-high boots.

People often ask how can you tell if a fur coat is real. Stacey’s and Beverley’s are not, but designer Amanda Wakeley’s most definitely is.

Gizzy also opted for a fur coat, whilst Lucy Jones and Angela Griffin opted for fur lined coats.

Angela’s is from Joseph, which she paired with Sass and Bide black rat leggings.

My guess would be Stacey is suffering from a cold this morning.

“Avatar” Paris Press Conference

Zoe Saldana was in Paris recently were she wore a RM by Roland Mouret Jason crepe wrap dress.

The grey dress has a draped collar which gives the casual dress a very smart feel.

I love her the purple peep-toes she paired with this dress.

The Comedy Theatre, London

Keira Knightley kept the Great British winter weather at bay by wearing a leather Burberry Prorsum Fall 2009 coat, which had a warm lining.

A stripey top, skinny jeans and Jimmy Choo Yule biker boots complete the look.

“My Son, My Son What Have YE Done” LA Premiere

I’m sure you will agree with me that had anyone else had worn these Chloe Resort 2010 leopard print tapered pants it would be a major disaster, but somehow Chloe Sevigny pulls them off.

She paired them with a white vest and a leather jacket.

22nd European Film Awards, Germany

Isabelle Huppert aka Cannes “Queen of Couture” arrived at this event wearing a Givenchy Fall 2009 LBD.

It wasn’t any ordinary LBD, as it had only one sleeve.

I love the structure in the shoulders, and the intricate cuts and folds on the that makes this look so interesting.

Hennessey Ingalls Art and Architecture Bookstore, LA

Oh this pop of blue gets me every time.  LOVE IT.

Dita von Teese’s electric blue Alexander McQueen plunging dress was the perfect colour for her pale skin.  I really love the contrast.

She wore her structured dress with black heels, whilst carrying an Alexander McQueen Union Jack skull clasp clutch.

Sorry Rachel McAdams, but Blake Lively upstaged you on your big night.

Rachel should be first on this post, but I just can’t get passed how A-Friggin-Mazing Blake looks wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010 mini lace dress, with gold Christian Louboutin glitter pigalle heels.

Most actresses tend to water down runway looks or line them if they are a bit see-through.

Not Blake Lively.

She opted out of the lined runway version to follow the recent trend started by Madonna, Lady GaGa and Carine Roitfeld by showing off her panties.

She may be showing off too much for some of you, but she looks amazing to me.

Rachel McAdams wore a black jumpsuit with a Jasmine di Milo black bustier consisting of chainmail roses from the designers Fall 2009 collection, with Catherine Malandrino Spring 2010 high waisted wide leg pants.

This is a very chic and sophisticated look yet I feel like something is missing.

Ashley Greene has fallen in love with those Sergio Rossi heels we’ve seen worn by Kristen Stewart, Claire Danes and Malin Akerman.

The nude heel works perfectly with the VBH envelope clutch she used to accessorize her white column Andy & Debb dress.

I love her antique style earrings and that divine pink lip colour.

*Sighs*

A white lace dress with thick black tights?

Really?

Eva Mendes you KNOW you are better than this.

2009 New York Variety Screening Series “A Single Man”, New York

I like the black pants Julianne Moore wore with her Balanciaga Fall 2009 blouse and lace bandeau, but I would’ve preferred the runway grey on her.

The grey is less heavy.

X-Factor Runners Up At Gatwick, London

X Factor runners up Stacey Soloman and Olly Murs made an appearance at Gatwick Airport today as part of the airport’s Christmas celebrations, which gave passengers the chance to sing to win at trip to see the Northern Lights – hopefully not on British Airways.

Stacey wore a bordeaux Temperley London Alexandria embellished silk tunic with cream peep-toes, which we recently saw on WAG Amanda Carrington.

12 mins 50 secs and counting.

“Did You Hear About The Morgans?” New York Premiere

Elisabeth Moss wore a Luella corseted jacquard mini dress from the Fall 2009 collection with black pumps.

Not my favourite look from her.

I really expected Sarah Jessica Parker to bring it at the New York preimere of her movie, but I was sadly disappointed.

At the London premiere she braved the elements wearing a L’Wren Scott mini dress, but on this occasion she kept it very simple with a chiffon dress with a leaf detail.

I don’t hate the look, but I just expected a bit more.

I do however love her Nicholas Kirkwood python cut-out platform heels.

I love this grey dress on Cynthia Nixon.

That draped detail is so subtly sexy.

Her silver peep-toes are a bit special too.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Woot woot. Not a corset in sight.

Leona Lewis appears to have weaned herself off wearing those darn corset belts.

I wonder how she’s holding up going cold turkey.

The vegan singer looks gorgeous wearing black jeans, a cropped jacket, a striped top, faux leather thigh-high boots whilst carrying a Stella McCartney chain-embellished faux leather bag.

Zoe Saldana wore a look by L’Agence which included a L’Agence Jersey scoop-neck top, white ultra skinny jeans and a grey blazer.

I love it when stars dress down and get it so right.

You may remember I wasn’t particularly crazy about the trains on all dresses in the Chanel Fall 2009 Couture collection, but on Kate Hudson I like it.

The reason is because we’re so used to seeing Kate wearing mini sequin dresses, that this look is really refreshing on her, and I LOVE the hair.

She swapped the beachy braid for a beautiful bob.

It was a family affair as Goldie Hawn was there to support her daughter Kate.

She also brought the wow factor to the red carpet wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2008 fringed gown.

The legendary actress wore her dress with a Dennis Basso’s white mink capelet.

Fergie can do no wrong at the moment.

Whether she’s wearing a Preen mini or this gorgeous Marchesa Resort 2010 Grecian gown she continues to blow me away.

She was one of my faves on this carpet.

I love how she paired her look with silver sparkling accessories.

Madonna and Lourdes Leon arrived in Dolce & Gabbana looks – of course.

Madonna wore a very typical Dolce & Gabbana corset dress with black elbow length gloves. (yawn)

Daughter Lourdes wore a lace Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010 skirt with a black bustier and pearl necklaces paired with Doc Martin boots and a leather jacket to toughen up her look.

Very early 80s Madonna.

We’ve been crying out for Marion Cotillard to grace the “Nine” red carpet with her presence and here she is.

Of course she didn’t let us down as she looked stunning wearing a strapless white column Dior gown, which she accessorised with long beaded Chopard necklaces and a black Judith Leiber clutch.

I would’ve preferred her without the necklaces, so we could marvel at the beautiful detail on her bodice.

Nicole Kidman’s Prada puff ball dress was accented with floral appliqués.

It wasn’t my favourite look on this red carpet, but much improved from the previous post.

Her strawberry blonde locks were swept to into a side bun with a piece framing her face.

Penelope Cruz looked gorgeous adding a burst of colour to this red carpet.

Her red satin Chanel Couture gown wrapped around her gorgeous body, with a draped detail across the front and a jeweled detail on the hip.

I’m loving the waves.

Like the rest of the cast Pen was glittering with Chopard jewels.

Naomi Watts was by far my favourite on this red carpet wearing a Marchesa sculpted sheath dress.

Factor in that divine raspberry, those beautiful fold details on her shoulders, that sexy peplum on her waist and the stunning silhouette and I’m in LOVE.

Head over heels.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked stylish on this star studded red carpet.

Mary-Kate opted for a black gown, but added a bit of colour with a harlequin jacket and a bright blue Maia N oversized clutch.

Ashley opted for all black barring her mustard Manolo Blahnik heels.

I loved her feathered coat which is very similar to the Topshop feather coat I’ve been cruising.

“The Element of Freedom” Album Launch Party, London

Alicia Keys was recently in London to promote her new album “The Element of Freedom”.

The superstar singer was wearing a white and blue vibrant paint print Alexander McQueen v neckline dress with batwing sleeves which she belted.

Her look was paired with blue tights, and Giuseppe Zanotti electric blue ankle boots.

I would never belt a dress with batwing sleeves as they are hard enough to manoeuvre in, but it seems to work here for Alicia.

“A Little Night Music” Broadway Opening Night, New York

In an age when we see so many ankle boots on the red carpet, it’s nice to get warm and fuzzy feeling from Catherine Zeta Jones on the red carpet.

She gives us old fashion glamour which made me fall in love with stars on the red carpet in the first place.

On her opening night on Broadway, the Welsh beauty looked so very elegant wearing a Gustavo Cadile black gown, with tiered skirt trimmed with sequins and a rosette detail on the hip.

The gown appears to be slightly modified from the baby blue Resort 2010 gown presented on the runway.

Z100s Jingle Ball 2009, New York

I hate to say this, but I’m really tiring of Leighton Meester’s ‘edgy’ look.

It was cute at first, but now it feels so forced.

The actress and wannabee singer opted for this cold-shoulder Louise Goldin leather and mesh sleeved dress paired with Proenza Schouler patent leather pumps.

To say me no likey is putting it very mildly.

House of Harlow 1960 Holiday Collection Launch, LA

The woman best known for her boho chic style gives something new.

Firstly she looks stunning with a chestnut new hair colour, then she shows off her post-baby figure wearing a L’Wren Scott fitted ivory dress which has been worn by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman (of course).

LOVE the fact she didn’t wear black pumps, instead she opted for Christian Louboutin snake-skin heels.

Louis Vuitton and Teen Vogue Holiday celebration, LA

Alexa Chung’s MTV show might have been cancelled, but that didn’t stop the Brit putting on a stiff upper lip and partying with the kids at the Teen Vogue Holiday party.

She carried a SC bag from the Sofia Copolla’s Louis Vuitton collection, whilst wearing a Louis Vuitton Resort 2010 print skirt.

I adore this print which has been worn by January Jones and Rachel Weisz on the January 2010 Vogue UK cover.

Emma Roberts opted for a sheer nude top, black pants and black LV Can can heels.

Samual French Bookstore, LA

After a rare occasion in which Dita von Teese had a bad day on the red carpet, the Burlesque star is back to her best.

This weekend she redeemed herself wearing a navy Lanvin Fall 2009 coat/dress worn with a belt, boots and an exquisite fascinator hat.

Tres chic.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Even in a simple black Jasmine di Milo black cashmere coat Kate Hudson is still uber sexy.

Showing off her pins the “Nine” actress is wearing the Brian Atwood Wagner rivet suede pumps which are on my wish list.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel And Casino, LA

Kim Kardashian accessorized her ALC double zipper draped dress, with a stunning neck piece, and Pierre Hardy Saba sandals.
