Nicole Richie In Helmut Lang, J Brand & Stella McCartney – The Today Show

Nicole Richie, who has also returned from Paris Fashion Week front row duty, was spotted out in New York City yesterday en route to the ‘Today’ show to promote the new season of ‘Fashion Star’.

Does her look qualify her as a fashion star? There is a lot going on here so let’s start from the top.

She wore a Helmut Lang Mongolian-fur jacket slung over her shoulders, which were bare as her Stella McCartney ‘Columbia’ fringe blouse was sleeveless.

J Brand’s ‘Super Skinny’ black leather pants gave her cool look a rock n’ roll edge, as did her House of Harlow circular sunglasses.

The rest of her accessories included snakeskin pumps and a tri-colour Fendi tote.

Take away the fringed top and we have a great look. With such a heavy, textural coat, the top feels a bit fussy.

Jessica Biel In Stella McCartney – Out In West Hollywood

Jessica Biel looked divine as she made her way to a baby shower in West Hollywood last month.

You may think I’m a tad harsh when it comes to Jessica’s style, but that’s only because I always want her to do better.

On this occasion her look is faultless.

I love everything, from her Stella McCartney Spring 2013 abstract-print dress with an organza overlay, to her bright-orange Tod’s bag and classic nude pumps.

Tending not to opt for prints or bright colours too often, she mixes them well with this look.

She has been quoted as saying that hubby Justin Timberlake picks out her clothes. While that might be true, if I was her I would take credit for this look.

Ashanti In Balmain & Givenchy – MTV Studios

Ashanti was spotted outside MTV Studios in New York City this week prior to her interview on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz to promote Lifetime’s hit drama ‘Army Wives’.

As we’ve seen earlier in the week, black and white is on trend.

Sadly, Ashanti took things a little too far.

Her high-end labelled look featured a Balmain long-sleeved baseball top, which she paired with Balmain jersey harem pants and Givenchy check-embossed lace-up booties.

While individually – excluding the MC Hammer pants – these pieces would work with solid separates, together….well just look at it. It’s an assault on the eyes.

Check, floral, and stripe prints? There is just too much going on. Even Solange Knowles would say “hell, no” to this heavily printed look.

It took a lot of money to look this bad.

Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham – Out In London

Repping her brand in splendid fashion, Victoria Beckham was spotted out in London this week enjoying the sunshine and not wearing black.

Dressed in a rich maroon hue, the designer donned a Victoria Beckham collared mini dress with a military-style wool coat from her Fall 2012 collection which we’ve seen her wearing twice before; once in maroon and once in black.

Signature shades and a pair of two-tone grey Chanel pumps with pearl accents around the toe-cap and heel completed her chic look.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was looking model perfect while shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California last week.

Wearing casual separates, the model/actress looked like she just stepped off a photo shoot.

Her look included a nude ripped top and Helmut Lang leather leggings which she styled with chic Dolce & Gabbana shades, Balenciaga bi-colour ‘Glove’ shoes and a Chloe ‘Lucy’ bag from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.
