Red Carpet Fashion Awards

I was excited to discover that Sophia Webster’s debut shoe collection has launched on Net-A-Porter.com.

We were first introduced to her fanciful footwear by young Chloe Moretz, who is known for her lust-worthy shoe collection.

If you are looking for exquisite, unique shoes with aztec prints, polka-dot trims and glossy leather bows – you will love these heels.

Championed by fashion insiders as “the next big thing”, the 27-year-old British talent honed her skills at London-based accessories label, Nicholas Kirkwood, before launching her own eponymous line earlier this year.

Be sure to shop this collection soon as styles are already selling out.

Stuart Weitzman has teamed up again with a select group of young Hollywood stars to raise money for ovarian cancer.

Brooklyn Decker, Julianne Hough, Nikki Reed, AnnaSophia Robb and Chloë Grace Moretz worked with Stuart to each co-design a footwear style, the proceeds of which will benefit Dr. Marsha A. Moses’ pioneering research into ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston, MA.

Brooklyn co-designed a multi-strap ankle boot with a gold metallic toe-cap which is very much on trend.

I can see Nikki wearing her black ankle-strap pump with a burgundy platform on the red carpet.

Chloe Moretz’ menswear-inspired lace-up two-tone navy-and-tan brogues would perfect with slim-fitted jeans.

A simple black pony-hair lady-like pump with burgundy piping was co-designed by AnnaSophia Robb.

Julianne Hough co-designed a sleek pair of high-heel Oxford pumps.

The Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection is available exclusively at stuartweitzman.com and Stuart Weitzman flagship boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills and Boston.

Which style is your favourite?

I love Nikki’s and Chloe’s. Both represent their styles perfectly.

After the food, and fashion, the next best thing about Milan Fashion Week is the shoe showrooms.

Yesterday Casadei presented its Spring 2013 collection. As this brand is favoured by the likes of Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Cameron Diaz and many more, I was keen to see what heels these ladies will be bringing to the red carpet very soon.

The ‘Blade’ model, which was Cameron’s go-to shoe for a while, reappears for spring with an even sharper appearance.

I love the animal-print model encrusted with diamante details and the python T-bar strappy sandals, plus the ‘Blade’ (in suede) has also been revamped with an ankle strap.

Another model had a Plexiglas heel which creates the illusion of an invisible heel.

Among all the sharp high heels was a blue kitten heel, which we could see on the likes of Nicole Kidman.

Casadei worked closely with Prabal Gurung to create two silhouettes for his Spring 2013 collection. The result: a sleek acetate-and-steel wedge with a degrade effect that comes in white, gray, black or red.

Yesterday afternoon I was at Kurt Geiger HQ to check out their Fall 2012 offerings.

The part of the studio which caught my eye the most was the Kurt Geiger Starheel Supers collection.

With ‘The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ currently in cinemas, this couldn’t be a more apt time to release a superhero collection.

Each shoe has a special power.

Esme: Has the power platform with inhuman leg lengthening abilities for your sexiest silhouette imaginable

Iris: Paints the pavement as you fly skyscraper high over the rainbow

Elena’s alter-ego is downtime guardian of your universe, aka. the fierce flat

Elektra: Your chariot awaits with the wonder-wedge and need-for-speed go-faster spikes

Eris: Don’t be fooled by the playful peek-a-boo peep toe. This platform is your retroactive rocket shooting studs

Yesterday evening blogger Bip Ling arrived at the Warner Music Group Pre-Olympics Party in the Southern Tanks Gallery at the Tate Modern in London pairing her Kurt Geiger ‘Iris’ tri-colour slingbacks with an uber-cute blue-and-yellow mini mod dress.

As you know, I’m on a constant quest to find new and exciting footwear to brighten up the red carpet.

Recently I was introduced to Bionda Castana (translates to blonde, brunette in Italian).

Founders Natalia Barbieri (brunette) and Jennifer Portman (blonde) invited me to a breakfast which showcased their Spring 2012 collection. It was the perfect pick me up on a cold winter’s morning in London.

The friends have created some of the most unique, lustworthy shoes I have seen in a long while, so I hope to see them on the red carpet.

Their Spring 2012 collection combines progressive British design and traditional Italian craftsmanship. I would describe the collection as classic footwear with an edge, polished yet tough and oozing true femininity.

My favourites from the collection include ‘Celine’, which would work with nearly every piece in my closet, ‘Ines’ which has a sexy, yet tough edge, ‘Miram’, which is an interesting take on the classic wedge, and ‘Molly’ because I can never resist a pair of animal-print heels.

The shoes are sold on my-wardrobe.com, Browns Fashion, Harvey Nichols The Box Boutique, Nordstrom, Tearose, Stylepaste.com, Watch-That-Label.com and the Clan Store.

Prices will ranging from £380 for the ‘Tabitha’ to £640 for the ‘Christa’.

The Spring collection is due to hit stores and websites late December and late February.

PVC was a surprising trend on the Spring 2012 runways.

We saw models wearing PVC at Dolce & Gabbana and Richard Nicoll, but it was also a very noticeable trend in footwear too.

This material has helped create several signature heels from 3.1 Phillip Lim to Manolo Blahnik for Richard Nicoll.

PVC looks futuristic and allows people to see your skin – spring’s best accessory.

Now it’s combined with bright patent leather, laces, studs and bows creating amazing shoes.

The key to pulling off this trend is an immaculate pedicure and clear nail polish.

Will you wear PVC shoes this spring?
