Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear roundup 9 decemberAn eclectic mix of men took to the red carpet today and over the weekend, where their looks ranged from regal to, well, a bit more wild. The unifying factor? All the guys worked some degree of facial scruff.

James McAvoy: To accept his ‘Best Actor’ Award at the 2013 British Independent Film Awards on Sunday in London, James wore a brown plaid Burberry suit, complemented by a baby-blue button-down shirt and brown silk tie. The tailoring could have been better, as the pants fell a bit long.

Adam Lambert: Always the sartorial show-off, the singer put his own flair on Sunday’s 15th annual Trevor Project Benefit, honouring Jane Lynch, in Hollywood, California. There was no missing his mulberry suit, swirled in an artsy, leafy abstracted pattern, which he paired with a charcoal-grey shirt. The heavy black loafers were a clunky contrast.

Christian Bale: Joining Bradley Cooper at the ‘American Hustle’ New York screening on Sunday, the actor walked on the dark side. He took a monochromatic, all-black approach in a Gucci notch-lapel, two button Brera suit, paired with a black dress shirt and black leather lace-up shoes.

Elizabeth Rohm In Randi Rahm - ‘American Hustle’ New York ScreeningElisabeth Rohm joined Bradley Cooper at the ‘American Hustle’ New York screening, held at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Sunday evening.

The actress turned on the old-Hollywood sophistication in a deep green, jewel-toned Randi Rahm boat-neck gown with a small train.

Although I wasn’t thrilled with the more undefined fit from the front, the silhouette improved when she turned to the side and revealed the draped, backless detail.

A crystallized clutch and three-tiered, sparkling statement earrings added dazzle to the dress, while a ruby-red lip, black-rimmed bedroom eyes and side-swept blonde waves contributed a vintage-glam appeal.

Bradley Cooper In Todd Snyder, Tommy Hilfiger and Vivienne Westwood - 'American Hustle' New York Promo TourBradley Cooper made the rounds this past weekend in New York City, as he promoted his new film, ‘American Hustle.’ He rocked appropriately dapper, cold-weather looks. But, let’s face it, one flash of those baby blues was all he really needed. Luckily, his ensembles only enhanced those eyes.

‘American Hustle’ New York Screening After Party: For Friday’s after party at the Monkey Bar, the actor buttoned up in a sharp, navy Tommy Hilfiger trench coat. Underneath, he was lumberjack-handsome in a red-and-navy plaid Todd Snyder shirt, khaki-coloured Diesel chinos and Red Wing boots.

‘American Hustle’ New York Screening: At the screening, held Sunday at the Ziegfeld Theatre, Bradley showed even more sartorial flair in his Vivienne Westwood Man steely-grey overcoat with a contrasting brown fur collar. Once he removed the coat, he looked just as cool in a Todd Snyder charcoal-grey flannel suit, worn with a white dress shirt and blue-striped tie, along with the same Red Wing boots for a casual edge.

Amy Adams In Elie Saab - 'American Hustle' New York Screening 2

Amy Adams brought her A game, as expected, to the ‘American Hustle’ screening held at Ziegfeld Theater in New York City on Sunday evening.

Giving us our third Elie Saab lace-accented gown of the evening – following Nina Dobrev and Anna Kendrick – Amy’s black gown was selected from the Spring 2014 collection.

Her high-neck, open-back, sleeveless frock was styled with Neil Lane jewels and Christian Louboutin heels, with a black hairband keeping her glossy locks behind her shoulders.

Juliette Lewis In Pamella Roland - ‘August Osage County’ LA Screening

Juliette Lewis attended The Weinstein Company’s ‘August: Osage County’ screening held at the Landmark Theatre in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening joining Emmy Rossum.

The actress wore an elegant emerald-green cap-sleeved Pamella Roland sheath dress featuring a sheer polka-dot yoke, which she styled with sexy gold-and-black Brian Atwood strappy sandals and gold jewels, with a red pout rounding out the look.

My initial feeling was, I’m missing a waist-defining belt, but the dress featured beaded detailing on the sides which a belt would’ve interfered with, so her impeccable run continues.
