Diane Kruger In Zuhair Murad - 'Fargo' New York Screening

Diane Kruger attended the FX Networks Upfront screening of ‘Fargo’ held at SVA Theater on Wednesday (April 9) in New York City.

The German actress wore a Zuhair Murad Fall 2014 jumpsuit.

I am sure many of you held your breath upon reading the title, but you can see that it’s not one of those unfortunately bedazzled catsuits we see JLo wear on stage.

As a lover of the jumpsuit, I’m frothing at the mouth at this creation with its super-slim fit which is enhanced with the lace detailing on the bodice, and I love the padded shoulders which provide a contrast to the nipped-in waist to create a sexy hourglass silhouette.

Sandals would’ve been preferred; however, Diane selected satin pumps, much to my surprise, with a spike earring, an ear cuff and a gold clutch accessorizing her outfit.

Smouldering eye makeup, a shimmering pink lip, and an updo with a free-flowing piece on one side of her face perfected this sharp look.

Winona Ryder In Maison Martin Margiela - 'Turks and Caicos' New York ScreeningWinona Ryder returned to the red carpet for the ‘Turks and Caicos’ screening at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City on Monday (April 7).

The actress wore a Maison Martin Margiela Fall 2014 cream dress, covered by a black tuxedo blazer and accented with a few flashes of metal via a gunmetal clutch and gold earrings.

I have a feeling some of you may be calling this slip-like silhouette a nightgown in no time.

While there was some sort of MMM cool-girl edge hidden amidst the styling here, it didn’t all quite click. Perhaps it was the overly slicked-back ponytail or the too-minimal makeup that contributed to the washed-out effect.

Kristen Wiig In J Mendel - 'Hateship Loveship' New York Screening

Kristen Wiig attended the ‘Hateship Loveship’ screening held at the Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday (April 8) in New York City.

Known for her love of all things minimalist, usually of the Balenciaga variety, I was somewhat taken aback by this colour-block asymmetrical choice from J. Mendel.

I can picture this sleeveless Fall 2014 dress – which features a solid leather mock neck and front panel at the bodice, a solid leather waistband and a draped asymmetric wrap-front skirt – on Chloe Sevigny, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Connelly and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley without the second layer of the skirt, but Kristen, who has worked an edgy look or two in her time, doesn’t sell it to me. Not one bit, and it’s got nothing to do with the safe Alejandro Ingelmo ‘Tron’pumps.

Rather, it’s because it feels so disingenuous and so far removed from her usual style – not that I don’t appreciate her stepping out of her comfort zone.

I love her and the dress, but not her in the dress.

Gemma Arterton & Mollie King In Gucci - 'The Director' London Screening

Gucci and Vanity Fair in association with Fashion & Cinema hosted the UK premiere of James Franco’s documentary film ‘The Director’ at the Curzon Cinema in Mayfair, London on Tuesday (April 8).

Gemma Arterton: The British actress kept it casual in simple separates which you and I would wear to the cinema, adding a Gucci fluid metallic canvas double-breasted trench coat, Gucci black loafers with the signature gold horsebit details and a Gucci ‘Bamboo’ leather shopper tote. I love how this casual look is so high-end.

Mollie King: The British singer opted for a more dressy-casual approach, wearing a Gucci Resort 2014 look consisting of a gold knit sweater and cream silk-satin wide-leg trousers which add polish to her look while still boasting a glamorous feel. She styled her look with a selection of perspex bangles and a gold-metallic high-heeled sandal with a gold horsebit detail.
Even though they are wearing two different looks, I love the cohesive feel.

Isabel Lucas In Prabal Gurung - 'ENGRAM' New York Screening

Isabel Lucas attended the ‘Engram’ screening held at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday (March 31) in New York City.

I just love her flirty Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2014 blue dress featuring tiers of raw-edged organza ruffles for a touch of textural and optical interest offset with a frothy layered skirt.

The master of powerful, edgy elegance strikes again.

Isabel did right by this dress by only adding black strappy sandals, subtle jewels and wearing her hair up.

Cobie Smulders In Sportmax - 'Captain America The Winter Soldier' New York Screening

After fulfilling her duties promoting the finale of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ on Letterman, Cobie Smulders attended the screening of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel on Monday (March 31) in New York City.

Looking divine in a Sportmax Fall 2014 navy asymmetrical dress crafted with a V-neck and peplum detail to create an angular silhouette, the dress resonates strongly with her simple yet sexy style.

With the leather belt giving her a defined waist, the look was styled with black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, a silver Badgley Mischka clutch and dangling earrings.

Smouldering eyes and a slicked-back ‘do completed her look.
