Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Anna Dello Russo and Giovanna Battaglia In Prada - Miu Miu Women's Tales 7th Edition -'Spark & Light' Screening

Anna Dello Russo and Giovanna Battaglia attended the Miu Miu Women’s Tales 7th Edition -’Spark & Light’ screening, held at the Diamond Horseshoe on Tuesday (February 11) in New York City.

Had these two fashion mavens not been besties, I would have believed their meeting on the red carpet to have been quite awkward.

But, I think it is pretty safe to say that this double dose of Prada was pre-planned.

If your question is who wore it better,I would have to say Gio Bat.

She wasn’t a slave to the runway styling like ADR, opting for tights instead of the runway knee-high striped socks.

Also, the fact that she didn’t wear a ridiculous feathered head-piece also scores in her favor.

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann - 'Snowpiercer' Berlin Film Festival Screening

Following ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlin Film Festival premiere, Tilda Swinton attended a screening of her other movie, ‘Snowpiercer’ on Friday (February 7).

The actress donned a look from her favorite designer, Haider Ackermann, selecting pieces from both his Fall 2014 menswear collection and his Spring 2014 womenswear collection.

Her black-and-ivory printed and oversized menswear coat was styled with a black top and black trousers, featuring a berry-hue stripe that matched her lip colour.

While some of you may not get and/or appreciate Tilda’s red carpet looks, I love that when it comes to her androgynous style she is being very true to herself.

Menswear and womenswear are living in perfect harmony here. What’s not to love?

Elizabeth Banks In David Koma - 'The LEGO Movie' Screening

Elizabeth Banks attended ‘The LEGO Movie’ screening held at AMC Empire 25 theater on Wednesday (February 5) in New York City following her guest appearances on ‘The Today Show’ and ‘Extra’.

Continuing her playful approach, which couldn’t be more apt for this movie, she wore a David Koma Fall 2013 dress featuring black embroidery and a ribbed flounced skirt which has been modified from the runway.

Jack Vartanian rings, Graziela Gems smoky onyx earrings, a black octagon Rauwolf clutch and Jimmy Choo laser-cut ankle-strap sandals accessorized her look, with a simple ponytail and face-framing tendrils providing the finishing touches.

It’s a tough call when it comes to picking a favourite, as all her looks were amazing, but I would have to pick her Roland Mouret look from ‘The Today Show’; those Louboutins tipped the fashion scales in this look’s favour.

Chloe Sevigny In Rodarte - 'The Wait' Los Angeles Special Screening And Q&A

Chloe Sevigny attended the screening of ‘The Wait’ held at the Downtown Independent Theater on Saturday (February 1) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore one of her go-to designers, Rodarte, selecting a pale-pink-embroidered black dolman-sleeve dress with a frilly hemline.

Sporting a bold orange lip and well-kept tresses, she of course styled her look with lace-up leather booties.

I know some of you can’t warm to Chloe’s style, so how does this look fare?

I love that the dress feels really chic, yet she gives the look a distinctive Chloe vibe with the boots.

'That Awkward Moment' New York Screening Menswear Roundup

Imogen Poots was quite the lucky lady sandwiched between three very fine (well-dressed) actors for the screening of their latest movie, ‘That Awkward Moment’, in New York City on Tuesday (January 22).

Zac Efron: The actor looked very dapper in his grey check Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit styled with a patterned tie and black leather lace-ups.

Michael B. Jordan: I’m sure you are not surprised to learn that Michael’s Vivienne Westwood Man Spring 2014 rust-coloured suit is my favourite here. Styled to perfection with an olive shirt and purple tie, this is easily one of the best looks of the year. I love that he often takes risks, shaking up menswear to keep the likes of me keenly interested. Tan Christian Louboutin flats and a white-gold Piaget ‘Altiplano’ timepiece rounded out his look. This look has me thinking we need a BDOTY list for men.

Miles Teller: While not so groundbreaking in his navy Z Zegna two-button notch-lapel three-piece suit and tie, the young actor looks very smart and polished, right down to his tan Louboutin shoes, which are the same as his co-star Michael’s.

Imogen Poots In Louis Vuitton - 'That Awkward Moment' New York ScreeningImogen Poots attended the New York screening of ‘That Awkward Moment’ at the Sunshine Landmark theatre on Wednesday (January 22).

Apparently paying no mind to the wintry weather, the British actress picked out an all-black ensemble from the dramatic Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 collection.

The scoop-neck frock with its decorative, sequin embellishment and sheer netted detail was modified from its runway days as a halter dress. Imogen did style the look with the same Stephen Sprouse-esque sheer tights, which she wore with peep-toe, platform sandals.

Although I appreciate her willingness to trod on edgy territory with this look, it didn’t really come together for me—especially not with that too-messy low bun.

Awkward fashion moment or not?
