Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

men 10 oct

Here is a look at two smart gents who took to the red carpet yesterday evening (October 9).

Ansel Elgort: The young actor joined Kaitlyn Dever for the ‘Men, Women & Children’ London premiere. This is taking it up a level. Working a strong graphic-print look from Dior Homme, I love those black calfskin strapped derbies with black and white rubber soles which give this look the cool flourish it deserved. Very well played.

Jeremy Renner: The ‘Bourne Legacy’ actor joined Mary Elizabeth Winstead on the red carpet for the ‘Kill The Messenger’ New York screening wearing a more classic look from Dolce & Gabbana. The pinstriped midnight-blue three-piece suit with a petrol-blue tie is tailored to perfection to allow Jeremy to stand out in the most sophisticated way possible.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Roksanda – ‘Kill The Messenger’ New York Screening

Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Roksanda - 'Kill The Messenger' New York Screening

Mary Elizabeth Winstead attended the ‘Kill The Messenger’ New York screening held at the Museum of Modern Art on Thursday (October 9) in New York City.

The actress wore a Roksanda Fall 2014 strapless frock which I love for its unique stripes and burgundy embroidered PVC overlay.

Her accessories, which included burgundy pointy pumps and a black clutch, pretty much fade into the background as I am so intrigued by her dress.

A berry lip and slicked-back bun would’ve perfected this for me.

Juliette Binoche In Fausto Puglisi – ‘Clouds Of Sils Maria’ New York Film Festival Screening

Juliette Binoche joined Kristen Stewart on the red carpet for the ‘Clouds Of Sils Maria’ premiere held during the 52nd New York Film Festival at the Alice Tully Hall on Wednesday (October 8) in New York City.

I’m sure you scrolled down with caution when you read the title because when you think of a Fausto Puglisi look, a thigh-scraping mini design immediately springs to mind.

Juliette went down no such route, selecting a simple black turtleneck with her black and white diamond-motif silk Spring 2014 skirt enriched with crystal and metal embroidery, which she accented with a metal-studded belt.

I love not only her fresh take on laidback glamour but also how the co-stars’ looks complemented each other.

With Zendaya Coleman’s bob wig and now Juliette’s sporting a similar hairstyle, does that mean this look is now trend?

Kristen Stewart attended the ‘Clouds Of Sils Maria’ screening held during the 52nd New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall on Wednesday (October 8) in New York City.

Wearing her second Chanel look in a row, this time the actress selected a piece from the Fall 2014 Couture collection.

I don’t know about you, but this ranks for me as one of her best ever looks, especially in Chanel.

The dramatic black dress with silver leather aluminum embroideries suits her unique edgy style and has a bit more character than the usual mini dresses she tends to wear.

She also, most importantly, looks comfortable in it, and I just can’t get enough of the new haircut.

Her look was, of course, styled with pointy pumps, with Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ glitter pumps rounding out her amazing look.

Are you as blown away as I am?

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture – ‘The Imitation Game’ Opening Night Gala Screening

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture - 'The Imitation Game' Opening Night Gala Screening

Keira Knightley stepped onto the rain-drenched red carpet for the opening night gala screening of ‘The Imitation Game’ during the London Film Festival, held at the Odeon Leicester Square on Wednesday (October 8) in London, England.

Serving up a Valentino double, the British actress selected a look from the Fall 2014 Couture collection.

Your feelings were muted for the photocall, so how does this luxe embroidered gold lace tiered couture gown fare?

Even if this is a typical Keira Knightley look, I’m far from disappointed.

I wanted elegance and romance with a touch of intrigue; she delivered.

The intrigue came via her strange choice of red suede Charlotte Olympia ‘The Lady is a Vamp’ pumps and those breathtaking David Morris earrings.

Elle Fanning In Rochas – ‘Low Down’ Mill Valley Film Festival Screening

Elle Fanning In Rochas - 'Low Down' Mill Valley Film Festival Screening

Elle Fanning attended the 37th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival screening of ‘Low Down’ held at the Rafael Film Center on Saturday (October 4) in San Rafael, California.

The actress wore a Rochas strapless taffeta gown which I simply adore.

Whilst nudes and beiges in such a large volume can drown out some skin tones, I feel like Elle’s milky complexion set against the nude hue and her new auburn hair colour work perfectly on this occasion.

What also helps this look work is that her gown is so simple with its strapless cut and cinched in waist.

Accessorized with some 70s inspired Neil Lane and Cathy Waterman wooden bangles and Aquazzura shoes opting for smokey eyes to round out her look.
