Gina Rodriguez In Georges Chakra Couture – ‘Ferdinand’ LA Screening

Gina Rodriguez was at the LA screening of ‘Ferdinand’ on Sunday (December 10).

What often strikes me about the actress’ style is how she shifts from sultry to sweet statements.

Opting for the latter this time around, she charmed in a Georges Chakra Fall 2017 Couture embellished gown that had a sense of girly fun along with the intricacy of its design.

The rich palette of colours and feathery wisps of embroidery were the statement-makers of this dress.

I did slightly miss the original above-the-ankle silhouette, as I think it added a bit of panache to the proportions. But, that would be a nitpick to an otherwise lovely look.

Margot Robbie In Givenchy – Australians In Film Host Screening Of ‘I, Tonya’

Margot Robbie continued to promote ‘I, Tonya’ in conjunction with ‘Australians In Film’ on Thursday (December 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

We’ve seen Margot go from 70s vintage glam, to 80s rock chick to 90s grunge this week.

Her Givenchy Spring 2018 striped t-shirt, gloss leather skirt and Nicholas Kirkwood ankle boots epitomizes modern Parisian style in an uber cool way.

Alison Brie In Tory Burch – ‘GLOW’ SAG-AFTRA Foundation Screening

Alison Brie attended the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations screening of ‘GLOW’ on Wednesday (November 29) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress opted to bring Fair Isle charm and nostalgia to the red carpet wearing a chunky-knit Tory Burch Elyse sweater from the Fall 2017 collection, paired with very smart wide leg trousers for some preppy nonchalance.

I immediately took note of the puff shoulders and slightly slouchy fit – just what is needed for this seasons layering when the temperature drops.

Carmen Ejogo In Redemption – ‘Roman J. Israel, Esq.’ New York Screening

Carmen Ejogo showcased her rare sultry side for the screening of ‘Roman J. Israel, Esq.’ on Monday (November 20) in New York City.

While some might prefer the runway verison of this Redemption Fall 2017, I love how the drape detail lends some definition, and keeps the look sensual.

Sans drape, the look feels like many Balmain-esqe pieces we’ve seen before.

Pierre Hardy ‘Blondie’ sandals rounded out her look.

Freida Pinto In Diane von Furstenberg – ‘Ladies First’ New York Screening

Sometimes it doesn’t take sparkling embellishment to shine, as Freida Pinto so radiantly showcased at the ‘Ladies First’ screening on Monday (November 20) in New York City.

She brought the dazzle by virtue of print alone in this Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2017 abstract floral dress.

I love how the bold pattern was juxtaposed with the conservative high neckline silhouette for the optimal display of modern femininity.

A sleek bun and pointy-toe shoes finished the look with another brush of chicness.

Allison Williams In Schiaparelli Couture – ‘Get Out’ LA Screening

Allison Williams was at the SAG-AFTRA Foundations conversations and LA screening for her latest film, ‘Get Out’, on Friday (November 17) in West Hollywood, California.

I was immediately drawn to her Schiaparelli Couture strapless pleated dress for the artsy, multi-coloured patterns of its silk crêpe. This could have been the canvas of a painting in a museum’s modern collection.

Even more whimsical was the eye embroidery, which was a nod to the label’s surrealistic motifs.

Could she have had more fun in the footwear department with a brighter sandal? Sure. But, instead, she kept the focus straight-away on the dress itself.

Carey Mulligan In Emilia Wickstead & Michael Kors Collection – ‘Mudbound’ New York & LA Screenings

Carey Mulligan continues to delight on the ‘Mudbound’ press tour, attending the New York screening on Sunday (November 19).

Emilla Wickstead is a designer known for her timeless, feminine, elegant styles and I think the aesthetic suits the actress perfectly.

This was evidenced with her Pre-Fall 2017 dress. The muted pink number evoked English rose beauty. It had a quiet sophistication with the puff sleeves adding a touch of whimsy.

Some might be let down by her wearing the same shoe style as the runway, but I’m not upset by the choice as the footwear works with the frock.
