Aubrey Plaza In Red Valentino & Miu Miu – ‘The Little Hours’ & ‘Ingrid Goes West’ LA Screenings

Aubrey Plaza has been at the 2017 Los Angeles Film Festival, where she attended the screening of ‘The Little Hours’ on Monday (June 19) and the closing night screening of ‘Ingrid Goes West’ on Thursday (June 22).

‘The Little Hours’: Despite the embroidered, decorative floral throughout, this Red Valentino Fall 2017 dress resonated more strongly on the solemnly conservative scale that would also seem a bit heavy for summer. So, I’m glad she tried to lighten the mood with her ponytail and pumps although a sandal would have likely been even more successful.

‘Ingrid Goes West’: With a distinct vintage flavour, this pleated, pink Miu Miu frock had something of a quirky, retro charm completed by the black platform heels—even if I didn’t exactly understand the wash of her purple eyeliner here.

Suki Waterhouse In Mugler – ‘The Bad Batch’ New York Rooftop Screening

Suki Waterhouse brought a new meaning to the power suit on Wednesday (June 21) with her appearance at ‘The Bad Batch’ New York Rooftop screening.

She demanded attention in her bold jacket dress from Mugler’s Fall 2017 collection.

The extreme pointed shoulders gave a retro feel which was mirrored in Suki’s eccentric blue eyeshadow and tousled hair.

I particularly love the contrast of the classic black lapels with the midnight blue shine of the fabric.

There was a fun disco-vibe to this look, but did this edgy ensemble look better on the runway?

Eiza Gonzalez In Kaufmanfranco – ‘Baby Driver’ Miami Screening

Eiza González looked white hot at a special screening of her new movie, ‘Baby Driver’ on Thursday (June 15) in Miami following the LA premiere.

She wore a Kaufmanfranco creation which was typically restrained and monochromatic, as per the designer’s aesthetic.

The colour blocking and tailored trouser keep this look classic and chic. I appreciate the addition of a high-low hem which puts a unique spin on this strapless white top.

When so many red carpet attendees are getting it wrong, Eiza got it so right with the length of her trouser. The tapered leg is flattering and works well with the streamlined black heels.

The red lip adds a sexy pop of colour but I’m not convinced by the messy up-do.

Chloe Sevigny In Gucci – ‘Beatriz At Dinner’ New York Screening

Gucci and The Cinema Society hosted a screening of ‘Beatriz At Dinner’ on Tuesday (June 6) in New York City, where Chloe Sevigny was in attendance.

Paying top-to-toe homage to the designer host, the actress donned a Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 dress with the ferocious tiger motif.

While the frock was a statement in and of itself that aligned to Chloe’s edgy fashion-girl aesthetic, she upped the ante more with her styling including a heart-printed turban, studded clutch, and Gucci Isle sock sandals that she wore with girly, white embellished socks.

I don’t throw around the word ‘fierce’ all that much, but this is a look that is deserving—both literally and figuratively. Would you agree?

Naomi Watts In Erdem, Lela Rose, Chloe & Prabal Gurung – ‘The Book Of Henry’ Promotion

While many are at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Naomi Watts has been on the New York City promo circuit for ‘The Book Of Henry,’ making four stops over the course of Wednesday (May 17) and Thursday (May 18).

The Today Show: Her Erdem floral-printed frock may have been from the Fall 2017 collection, but it had all the fresh lightness of the season, especially when styled with white-rimmed Linda Farrow shades, Jennifer Meyer jewels, and a mauve-pink Chloe ‘Drew’ bag.

Out In New York: The summery vibe became all the sunnier in this happy, bright Lela Rose Spring 2017 flower frock. I love the retro vibe and that she wore equally vibrant, colour-block Pierre Hardy ‘Memphis’ sandals.

‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story’ London Screening

A dynamic trio of trend-forward stars were at the screening of ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story’ in London on Tuesday (May 16).

Salma Hayek: Salma prettified this Gucci Resort 2017 ensemble by wearing the strong, plaid skirt with a feminine ruffle blouse and sculpted heels, although the leather jacket did contribute a tougher edge. It was a solid effort for Salma; I was just slightly bothered by the fit of the skirt around the hips, as I would have preferred a more streamlined finish.

Lupita Nyong’o: I was delighted to see Lupita back on the red carpet in this statement-making Fendi Spring 2017 ensemble that brought in her love of bold hues with the red turtleneck sweater. It takes a certain talent to pull off the directional edge of the crop top and those cropped parachute pants, and she definitely fit the bill. Plus, her styling and her beauty look were on point from top to toe.

Naomi Campbell: The supermodel was not ready to bid adieu to sheer yet, as she wore it in a lace top with this decorative, sexy spin on suiting from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2017 collection. Her sleek bob helped increase the chic factor of the look.
