Gwyneth Paltrow In Burberry – goop Hosts ‘Despicable Me 3’ Screening

Gwyneth Paltrow and goop hosted a screening of ‘Despicable Me 3’ on Wednesday (July 5) in Southampton, New York.

Given the adorable kiddie-friendly occasion, it was only fitting for Gwynnie to wear an equally adorable frock in this Burberry pink-and-white lace design.

The sweet dress was accompanied by blush-nude sandals that all but disappeared alongside a brighter watermelon lip.

Yet, the ongoing mood of the look was no-muss, no-fuss with her au natural eye makeup and her ubiquitous straight locks. However, I do think a wavy style or a sleek bun would have elevated the charm of the feminine look even more.

Zoe Kazan In Erdem – ‘The Big Sick’ London Screening

Zoe Kazan attended a special screening of ‘The Big Sick’ on Wednesday (July 5) in London.

For some reason I always have Zoe down as a bit of a goth, but this Erdem Fall 2017 gown dispels that notion with it notes of Victoriana melding into a modern-romantic vision of femininity.

Adding contemporary touches via the metallic sandals and Olympia le Tan clutch stands this look in good stead.

Lily Collins In Christian Siriano & Miu Miu – ‘To the Bone’ Screening & Press Conference

Continuing promotion for her new Netflix original film, ‘To The Bone,’ Lily Collins attended the LA screening on Thursday (June 29) followed by the press conference in Beverly Hills, California on Friday (June 30).

Screening: While this Christian Siriano colour-block dress was sleek and chic, it almost had me wishing that she had opted for the original design. The coral-pink hue would have been a delightful ode to the current summer season.

Press Conference: I’m not sure if the lighting played a role here, but whereas this retro-inspired Miu Miu floral frock should have been delightfully radiant and lemony, it was instead rather dull and dismal. Lily’s heavier makeup—especially the dark lip—did nothing to lift the mood of the rather aging look.

Regina Hall In Vivian Chan & Johanna Ortiz – ‘Naked’ New Orleans Premiere & ‘Girls Trip’ New Orleans Screening

Regina Hall was at the ‘Naked’ New Orleans premiere at the 2017 ESSENCE Festival on Friday (June 30) in New Orleans, Louisiana before attending the ‘Girls Trip’ New Orleans screening later that day.

‘Naked’ New Orleans Premiere: There would be no so-called ‘naked’ dresses for Regina who instead showed the inherent beauty of simple sophistication in a Vivian Chan Fall 2017 halter dress. I not only loved this glorious fuchsia colour on her, but the swath of perfect femininity in the composed ruffle down the front.

‘Girls Trip’ New Orleans Screening: Shimmering in rose gold, this Johanna Ortiz Spring 2017 frock was also full of feminine notions, from the off-the-shoulder styling, to the keyhole accent, to the fit-and-flare silhouette. The minimal styling, with just a metallic sandal in play, yet again worked to the look’s advantage.

Sofia Coppola In Christian Dior & Sacai – ‘The Beguiled’ Munich Film Festival Premiere and London Screening

Sofia Coppola has been busy promoting the fruits of her labour over the last few days. The director first attended the Munich Film Festival premiere of her new movie ‘The Beguiled’ on Monday (June 26), followed by the London screening the next day.

Munich Film Festival Premiere: Donning a Christian Dior Resort 2018 dress, Sofia looked ready for a summer vacation. I love the midi-length silhouette and the ethereal feel which the sheer sleeves and pretty embroidery evoke. Sofia opted for a more covered up alternative to the runway’s look, sensibly opting for a light strappy sandal.

London Screening: Another day and another midi-length dress paired with black strappy sandals. Staying true to form Sofia once again opted for a loose dress; this time deep blues and moody greens replaced the white. I particularly love the collar on this Sacai Pre-Fall 2017 dress which adds a formal edge. Playing with textures and colours works well here.

Suki Waterhouse In Max Mara – ‘Baby Driver’ New York Screening

The hype surrounding ‘Baby Driver’ continued to grow at the New York screening on Monday (June 26), with Suki Waterhouse in attendance.

Bringing a city chic approach, Suki opted for a Max Mara Pre-Fall 2017 seafoam dress.

I love the ruching which adds a measure of drama without going overboard. The sheer sleeves add another layer of interest.

Her styling is as effortless and laid-back as her dress. A simple tousled hairstyle looks fuss-free while her Salvatore Ferragamo shoes add a hint of copper shimmer to this ensemble.

Suki has gone with a more casual aesthetic than the structured ice queen look seen on the runway, which do you prefer?

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

There were a number of men who made an impression at the 2017 BET Awards in LA. But, away from that event, there were more fellows who have made an impression on the red carpet.

Chadwick Boseman: First up, Chadwick scored a style slam dunk at the 2017 NBA Awards on Monday (June 26) in New York City. This Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 striped suit was a seasonal, refreshing alternative to the standard-issue colours of black, navy, and charcoal. Plus, I love that he skipped the tie on this sleek dress shirt.

Filipe Valle Costa: At the premiere of FX’s ‘Snowfall,’ on Monday (June 26) in LA, Filipe looked sharp in a David Hart Fall 2017 suit styled with Cesare Pacciotti shoes and a Rolex timepiece. The festive plaid did seem a bit heavy, but he lightened the mood with his unbuttoned, white dress shirt.

Miles Brown: I’m not sure it could get any more adorable than Miles who was also at the 2017 NBA Awards. With his custom TO Collection suit, paired with Florsheim shoes, he gets major style points. He wears bold plaid and a bow tie better than men three times his age.
