Nieves Alvarez In Robert Verino, Versace & Andrew Gn – Solo Moda

For her tenth ‘Sola Moda’ program, supermodel Nieves Alvarez sported a variety of looks, although all three had subtle hints of a nod to the 1960s.

Nieves’ first look was a silk bodysuit and lace embroidered pants from Roberto Verino’s Fall 2012 collection.

Maison des Talons silver sandals completed the look which, although flattering on Nieves’ long, lean figure, feels a bit to revealing for a TV show.

The next look was an orange cap sleeve Versace Fall 2012 dress. I love how mod this mini is, and the surprising addition of Lari green sandals works wonders for this look.

The last outfit worn by Nieves on the show was an Andrew Gn Resort 2012 jeweled dress in a deep green offset by Christian Louboutin diamante Pigalle heels.

In my opinion this is the least successful of all three looks — the heels and the dress together make it impossible to notice any details besides the amount of sparkle Nieves is wearing.

Nieves Alvarez In Custo Barcelona, Stella McCartney & Louis Vuitton – Solo Moda

After a short hiatus due to the Olympics, Nieves Alvarez was back this weekend to present the ninth program of her program ‘Solo Moda’.

Showing how both patterns and solids can be stunning and dramatic, she certain didn’t take her foot off the gas during the break.

Her first look was a Custo Barcelona Spring 2012 dress.

The long, centered slit, side cutouts and captivating pattern were not at all detracted from by the simple, elegant Christian Louboutin sandals Nieves paired with the look.

Stella McCartney’s take on a bodycon dress, made popular when Kate Winslet wore the same piece to the Venice Film Festival earlier this year, was the second look for the presenter.

Nieves paired the form fitting frock with a pair of Christian Louboutin printed ‘Pigalles,’ which gave the entire ensemble a refined, sophisticated air.

For her final look she donned a tweed Louis Vuitton jumpsuit and jacket, accessorizing with a coral pair of Christian Louboutin heels and Pandora earrings.

I adore this look for its playfulness and the complete wearability of the Louis Vuitton tweed.

Nieves wore jewels by Magerit throughout the entire program.

Kristen Bell In Cushnie et Ochs – The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Kristen Bell made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ yesterday evening to promote her new movie, ‘Hit and Run’.

The blonde beauty opted for a monochromatic look wearing a raspberry Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2013 dress with matching satin Casadei pumps.

Her flirty frock with a criss-cross bodice, tonal mesh panel, leather panel and pleated skirt was styled with a leather waistband to nip in her waist.

Olympian Ryan Lochte was also on the show. He brought along his five medals which perfectly coordinated with Kristen’s dress.

Naturally wavy blonde locks and barely there makeup completed her look.

Emmy Rossum In Monique Lhuillier – ‘Project Runway’ Taping

Emmy Rossum looked sensational when she was spotted out in New York City en route to film her guest spot on ‘Project Runway’ on Sunday.

The actress stuns wearing a Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 dress.

I’m almost at a loss for words at how gorgeous this fuchsia tulle cocktail dress is. When it comes to giving us ultra-feminine glam, no one does it better than Emmy.

I love the frosty pink glossy lip colour which perfectly complements her dress and the sultry tumbling side-swept waves.

She completes the look with leg-lengthening nude pumps, grey nail polish and a stunning pair of Chopard white diamond hoop earrings.

An easy BDOTW contender.

Rihanna In Marc Jacobs – ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’

Oprah Winfrey still has the power to attract big name stars for her talk show ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’.

Next up is Rihanna, who will make a guest appearance on the show airing August 19 on OWN.

In this picture we see the 24-year-old singer showing Oprah around her hometown in Barbados wearing a Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 dress.

Rihanna becomes the fifth star to wear a look from this collection following Anna Wintour, Hilary Swank, Sofia Coppola and Hailee Steinfeld, making it the most worn Resort 2013 collection so far.

The turquoise-and-raspberry v-neck maxi dress has the same floral-and-dot print which we saw as Look 2 from this collection.

Ri Ri kept the look simple by adding gold hooped earrings, a gold pendaent necklace and cat- eye sunglasses.

Jessica Biel In Oscar de la Renta – Good Morning America

I was about to throw in the towel on Jessica Biel’s efforts for the ‘Total Recall’ promo tour, until she made a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ earlier today at Rumsey Playfield, Central Park in New York City.

Talk about a 180 from overwhelming a Dior Couture dress, to doing the impossible by making Elie Saab Couture look ‘meh’, she finally got it right this morning.

Her Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 bijoux print silk faille dress is her best look so far this week for me, which is crazy following two couture looks.

Jessica teamed the belted teal frock with lemon Louis Vuitton toe-cap pumps and her engagement ring.

Her tresses were styled into sleek waves with a pretty pink lip colour providing the finishing touches.

If you had to put one Jessica’s looks into the BDOTW poll, which would you choose?

Jessica Biel In Giambattista Valli – The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Jessica Biel was in New York City yesterday afternoon for a guest appearance on ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ to promote her new movie, ‘Total Recall’.

Dressed in a Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2012 animal-print dress, the actress fails to excite.

Despite the fact that it is summer, stars are still opting for pieces which would work better in the autumn and this look is a prime example of dressing for the wrong season.

Her silk-chiffon long-sleeve dress with a black grosgrain waistband and tulip skirt was styled with a black Fendi ‘2Jours’ leather shopper, which Sarah Jessica Parker and Olivia Palermo also own, and black Casadei blade patent pumps.

Had Jessica worn something more season appropriate and opted to do something style wise with her hair, I may have been more inclined to get excited about this look and the rest of this promo tour.
