Runway To “It’s On with Alexa Chung” – Alexa Chung In Marc Jacobs

Alexa Chung’s debut MTV show “It’s On with Alexa Chung” has been re-commissioned for a second series only three months after the show first aired.

Ratings have tripled since the show first started in May and Alexa has been attracting A-list stars such as Cameron Diaz, Diane Kruger, Jack Black, Adam Sandler, P Diddy and Blink 182 to her sofa every week.

Alexa appears to have an obsession with wearing black ankle boots with everything, because she paired them with her denim shorts and red striped Marc Jacobs Resort 2010 top, which has a floral detail on the shoulder.

British stylists Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine of BBC’s “What Not To Wear” fame, were on her show yesterday and I hope they tried to smarten up Alexa, or at least direct her to the nearest salon.

Trinny and Susannah were there to promote their new six-part series “Making Over America with Trinny and Susannah”.

They’ll travel from state to state, armed with their no holds barred opinions, a healthy dose of tough love and a special box of tricks.  Their quest is to help American women look and feel better about their bodies.

“Making Over America with Trinny and Susannah” airs tonight in the US on TLC at 10pm ET/PT.

Runway To The “Late Show With David Letterman” – Katherine Heigl In Reem Acra

Katherine Heigl was voted Best Dressed by the majority of you last week wearing Lanvin, and it looks like she may also get your vote this week.

For her appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman” she looked beautiful wearing an electric blue Reem Acra Resort 2010 dress.

I love the way this dress elegantly wraps around her body with the jeweled detail on her waist, but I’m not crazy about the black peep-toes. Silver strappy sandals would have worked better for me.

Also the cuff feels a little out of place, the jewel belt was enough bling for this look.

Katherine was on the show to promote her upcoming romantic comedy, “The Ugly Truth”.

The film is about a romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) who’s reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love.” Co-starring Gerard Butler, the Robert Luketic directed film will be shown in US theaters this Friday.

Venus Williams Wears Marchesa On “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien”

Venus Williams served up another ace look on Conan O’Brien’s show last week.

The 6ft 1in star looked stunning wearing a pink strapless Marchesa Pre-Fall 2008 floaty mini dress showing off her toned endless legs.

She wore stunning drop earrings and nude jeweled heels with her perfect dress.

It’s funny how tiny she makes both host Conan and fellow guest Gerald Butler look so tiny as she towers over them in the clip below.

During the interview Venus talks about battling her sister on the tennis court, Wimbledon, fashion, and Conan tries to return one of her 130 mph serves which is hilarious.

Runway To “The Early Show” – Emma Watson In Saloni

Emma Watson was quite literally flying the flag for Great Britain last week when she arrived at the CBS studios to appear on “The Early Show”.

She carried Agyness Deyn’s favourite Chanel union jacket bag, whilst wearing a Saloni Alexia dress, a Chanel necklace and black Chanel Resort 2009 cage ankle boots.

The red silk long sleeved dress has gold sequin embellished button cuffs, and a delightful tiered chiffon skirt.

According to Indian designer Saloni Lodha the collection is: “Designed for a girl who can be adventurous and feminine at the same time, who can be playful in the way she dresses with an underlying quality of elegance and charm.”

I think this sums up Emma perfectly.

Runway To “It’s On With Alexa Chung” – Alexa Chung In Vena Cava

Not being a fan of Alexa Chung I wasn’t particularly mourning her Stateside move like many fashion followers, more rejoicing it.

The scruffy TV presenter does seem to have smartened up a bit, but hasn’t lost any of her unique style.

On a recent episode of her MTV show she looked the best I have seen her in a long while wearing a Vena Cava Spring 2009 dress.

The two-tone sweet-heart necklined dress with spaghetti straps has a zipper along the front of the black solid silk bodice and the skirt which has an interesting lamé ikat detail.

A cream cardi and black cut-out ankle boots complete the look.

For those of you who watch her show is it any good?
