Ciara In Galia Lahav Couture – Out In New York City

Ciara made the sidewalks of New York City her personal runway while out and about over the weekend.

Some may oppose the exaggerated proportions of this Galia Lahav Fall 2017 Couture coat dress, but I found it altogether intriguing, as the look balanced a fanciful, feminine spirit with plenty of leather-infused edge.

Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Jeannine’ booties, with their statement red ribbons, added another layer of chic boldness, with a Giuseppe Zanotti matching clutch rounding out the look.

Rihanna In Y/Project – Out In New York

The Fenty Puma By Rihanna fashion show during New York Fashion Week was on Sunday (September 10), so Rihanna has been out and about in NYC making the rounds in her own head-turning way.

Her off-duty affinity for oversized menswear has not waned with her latest street-style looks from Y/Project’s Spring 2018 Menswear collection.

Wearing the boxy blazer over ripped jeans was a trend-forward way to rock the disparate pieces, with Olgana Paris ‘Celeste’ mink fur mule sandals ending it on a playful, very Ri Ri note.

Her second look featured her own version of a Canadian tuxedo with this all-denim approach. There was a lot of fabric happening between the gigantic shirt, long belt, and comically slouched trousers.

All that to say, the first look was by and far my favourite for its more polished sensibility, despite the distressed denim.

Gigi Hadid keeps the pajamas alive in MARCH11

It’s fashion week, and while celebs are doing the most to stand out, Gigi Hadid is sticking to her favoured style: pajama-inspired separates.

As someone who’s been a fan of this trend; when done right, I have to say again I’m in love with this MARCH11 bell bottoms and a coordinating jacket slinky look.

From the bumblegum hue, to the tone-on-tone graphics the model certainly made a statement.

I especially love how she amped up the jewel-tones by styling her look with emerald Olgana Paris ‘L’Amazone’ jeweled satin heel and a matching bag.

Love it or leave it?

Naomie Harris In Giamba – STK London

Naomie Harris celebrated her 41st birthday with family and friends at party held at STK London on Wednesday (September 6).

I love her locs hairstyle which she’s been sporting all summer.

I had originally thought it was because she was filming the next instalment of a new ‘ Pirates of the Caribbean’ film, but as that doesn’t appear to be on the cards, I guess she wanted to get in touch with her Jamaican, Trinidadian roots.

Her tiger-print party dress hailed from Giamba’s Resort 2017 collection.

I love how feminine the dress is with its delicate details, yet it possesses plenty of attitude via the faux black harness.

Adding a bohemian touch via the fringed wrap and fringed bag, the look was completed with Freda Salvador Wit D’Orsay Oxfords.

If you’re thinking, “Who’s worn this look before?”

Well, it was Naomie herself. She wore this same dress to the ‘Collateral Beauty’ London photocall back in December.

Selena Gomez Rocks Rouje out in New York City

Selena Gomez was spotted out in New York City on Tuesday (September 5).

Her Rouje frock had a darling and effortless ladylike femininity.

So, my question was, why pair the dress with an oversized, granny sweater?

The Louis Vuitton bright-white sneakers will likely raise an eyebrow or two, too, for their somewhat misplaced clunky, athletic spirit.

Naturally, she carried a red Coach x Selena ‘Grace’ handbag, with Roberi & Fraud sunnies rounding out the off-duty look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Monse & Bottega Veneta – The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Maggie Gyllenhaal gave us a double dose of sophisticated looks whilst making an appearance on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ to promote her new series, ‘The Deuce,’ on Tuesday (September 5) in New York City.

Entrance: While heading into the ‘Late Show’ set, she wore a Monse Resort 2018 black dress that was no ordinary black dress. I was crushing on its nod to edginess in the unzipped cutouts at the shoulders and thigh juxtaposed with the feminine flutter hem. Rust-hued velvet pumps proved an interesting step towards fall.

: With the velvet heels still in play, Maggie changed into a Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 dress for the show and its aftermath. The look had an alluring, languid ladylikeness that wasn’t shy in boasting its vintage sensibility.

She was two for two as far as I’m concerned. What say you?
