Jessica Biel In Greta Constantine & Giambattista Valli – The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Jessica Biel proved that black can be anything but boring when she paid a visit to ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on Tuesday (September 5).

Not playing any favourites, the actress mixed a Greta Constantine blouse with a Giambattista Valli skirt. The interplay between the sheer polka fabric and satin bib of the top was fun and flirty with the sheer panels and pink print on the lower half.

Showing that styling is about a masterful mix, Jessica accessorised with Louboutin shoes, a Judith Leiber clutch and Dana Rebecca jewels.

Gigi Hadid’s NYFW Street Style

Much like Doutzen Kroes, model Gigi Hadid has also been out and about in New York City amidst the hustle and bustle of New York Fashion Week.

When she hasn’t been walking the runways the likes of Anna Sui, Prabal Gurung, and Jeremy Scott, she’s been spotted flaunting her own unique off-duty style.

First up, she donned a Tamuna Ingorokva Fall 2016 jumpsuit styled with Linda Farrow X Dries Van Noten sunglasses, Sanayi313 star-studded shoes, and one of her favoured Stalvey bags. This look reminded me of Doutzen’s The Row ensemble, as it may have been neutral in colour and simple in silhouette, but Gigi’s punchy styling kept it on the cool side—and far away from lacklustre territory.

While you might first notice the fringed Prada T-shirt and Paige Hoxton tight leather pants, there’s no doubt your gaze will quickly revert to the platform sneakers that could have easily been found in Lady Gaga’s closet. The same Linda Farrow X Dries Van Noten shades completed this ensemble that would have looked just as good with those Sanayi313 starry mules.

Introducing a bit of colour to the equation, Gigi brightened up her outlook in a bubblegum-pink 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater styled with a pair of girly embellished, cropped denim and Christian Louboutin ‘Boudiva’ glitter and velvet block heel mules. While the furry footwear may raise an eyebrow or two, I love how they reflected the playful personality that was packed into this look.

Olivia Culpo in head-to-toe Tod’s during NYFW

Olivia Culpo has been doing the rounds during New York Fashion Week, changing several times a day.

Yesterday (September 11), she hit the streets of Manhattan wearing a full Tod’s Fall 2017 runway leather look, which for first time had me feeling a touch of OC fatigue.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the look and her total commitment to bringing us everything from high end to affordable fashion, but at the same time this look feels a tad contrived.

As a stylist friend of my would call this dressing, not styling.

I get no sense of her style here.

I love street style fashion during Fashion Week because you get to see looks pulled together in an inspiring way, this just tells me she had free reign in the Tod’s showroom.

Ciara In Galia Lahav Couture – Out In New York City

Ciara made the sidewalks of New York City her personal runway while out and about over the weekend.

Some may oppose the exaggerated proportions of this Galia Lahav Fall 2017 Couture coat dress, but I found it altogether intriguing, as the look balanced a fanciful, feminine spirit with plenty of leather-infused edge.

Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Jeannine’ booties, with their statement red ribbons, added another layer of chic boldness, with a Giuseppe Zanotti matching clutch rounding out the look.

Rihanna In Y/Project – Out In New York

The Fenty Puma By Rihanna fashion show during New York Fashion Week was on Sunday (September 10), so Rihanna has been out and about in NYC making the rounds in her own head-turning way.

Her off-duty affinity for oversized menswear has not waned with her latest street-style looks from Y/Project’s Spring 2018 Menswear collection.

Wearing the boxy blazer over ripped jeans was a trend-forward way to rock the disparate pieces, with Olgana Paris ‘Celeste’ mink fur mule sandals ending it on a playful, very Ri Ri note.

Her second look featured her own version of a Canadian tuxedo with this all-denim approach. There was a lot of fabric happening between the gigantic shirt, long belt, and comically slouched trousers.

All that to say, the first look was by and far my favourite for its more polished sensibility, despite the distressed denim.

What about you?
