Lupita Nyong’o In Chanel Couture – Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Lupita Nyong'o In Chanel Couture - Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Glamour hosted their annual 2014 Women Of The Year Awards held at Carnegie Hall on Monday (November 10) in New York City, inviting their woman of the year and current cover girl, Lupita Nyong’o.

Of course she served up a high-fashion look, donning an off-white Chanel Fall 2014 Couture neoprene dress embroidered with gold, red and coral beads, paired with matching cycling shorts.

I love how considered the styling is, with gold Kurt Geiger ‘Anja’ pumps, shimmering gold eye makeup and a rouge lip to complement the beaded detailing.

It’s not easy to pull off this style of look; it takes a great deal of confidence and poise, which Lupita has in spades.

I’m already looking forward to her next look.

Elizabeth Banks In Elie Saab Couture – ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ London Premiere

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" - World Premiere - Red Carpet Arrivals

Elizabeth Banks attended ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ premiere held at Odeon Leicester Square this evening (November 10).

My expectations were high, but even I wasn’t fully prepared for the extent to which I was swept away by this breathtaking Elie Saab Fall 2014 Couture gown.

Enchanting her way down the red carpet, Elizabeth’s floral-print frock with a stormy-print skirt which is delicately accented with embellishments is a truly magical gown.

It’s a long way to go on this tour, but I already feel this will be my favourite.

Jena Malone In Emilia Wickstead - ‘The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1′ London Premiere

Jena Malone attended ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ premiere held at Odeon Leicester Square this evening (November 10).

The actress wore an Emilia Wickstead Spring 2015 two-piece look consisting of an ivory body suit with a high-waisted bright yellow skirt with a wraparound effect rendered in scrumptious duchess satin.

I love how she made the look her own, wearing it off the shoulder, while still maintaining a classy appeal.

Watching Jena on the live feed, she was electrifying on this red carpet, so effervescent that her personality almost upstaged her look.

Julianne Moore In Balenciaga – ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ London Premiere

Julianne Moore In Balenciaga - 'The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1' London Premiere

Julianne Moore was the first to arrive on the red carpet for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ premiere held at Odeon Leicester Square this evening (November 10).

The actress wore a Balenciaga Spring 2015 black fitted dress infused with sultry sheer panels and an intricate woven cape-like detail on the shoulders.

While this look did have me going back into my archives to see if Rooney Mara had worn it, this sartorial celebration of femininity couldn’t be a better representation of her chic effortless style, which always has an intriguing edge.

Black sandals and a simple ponytail completed her look.

Anne Hathaway In Chanel Couture – ‘Interstellar’ Shanghai Premiere

Anne Hathaway In Chanel Couture - ‘Interstellar’ Shanghai Premiere

Following the photocall, Anne Hathaway attended the ‘Interstellar’ premiere held at UME Cinema this evening ( November 10) in Shanghai, China.

The actress wore a Chanel Fall 2014 Couture gown which had me saying “this is more like it – finally“.
Frankly, I was losing the will to live.

This gold lace painted with black silicone gown makes you stand up and take notice, grateful that she didn’t revert to old faithful, and, if you’re like me, feel totally captivated by her presence and the authoritative nature of her stance.

I knew she had this in her; I was just waiting for her to deliver it.

Anne Hathaway In Lanvin – ‘Interstellar’ Shanghai Press Conference

Anne Hathaway In Lanvin - 'Interstellar' Shanghai Press Conference

Anne Hathaway took her latest movie, ‘Interstellar’, to Asia, where she attended the press conference held at the Peninsula Shanghai on Monday (November 10) in Shanghai, China.

The thing about Anne’s promo tour, which has seen her style put firmly under the microscope, is the surprising amount of unflattering opinions we’ve seen.

On this occasion she wore a Lanvin Resort 2015 tri-colour nude, white and black lace dress which, while event appropriate and lady-like, is still not setting of any star-power fireworks.

Perhaps our expectation for the Oscar-winning actress runs too high.
