Shailene Woodley In Valentino – 2012 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Shailene Woodley also attended the 2012 Directors Guild of America Awards, which took place on Saturday evening in Hollywood, California.

The young actress wore a Valentino Spring 2012 gown.

As her red crochet gown was totally see-through she also wore a strapless two-tone mini dress underneath.

Whilst Diane Kruger sported a similar look last week, it matched.

On this occasion I wish the strapless dress had been less fussy and a bit longer. A simple nude long slip dress is another option.

That being said her youthful take is more interesting and I think she manages to pull it off.

Barely-there makeup and a braided ponytail side-swept ponytail completed her look.

Yay or nay on the strapless two-tone dress as an underlay?

Nicole Kidman In Collette Dinnigan – 2012 Australian Academy Of Cinema And Television Arts Awards

Nicole Kidman showed her support for the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards on Friday evening in West Hollywood, California.

She wore a Collette Dinnigan Spring 2012 ‘Mirabella’ dress.

Does this blush dress with black embroidered details and a black bow accented grosgrain belt look familiar to you?

That’s because Rachel McAdams wore the same dress just last week.

This is a major faux pas for her stylist. How can she dress Nicole in a look worn as recently as last week?

Faux pas aside, this is a great look for Nicole especially as she’s sporting a glowing tan for the first time in her life.

A sparkling hair clip, gold criss-cross sandals, statement earrings, and a diamond bracelet completed her look.

Michelle Williams In Chanel Couture – 2012 Annual Directors Guild Of America Awards

Michelle Williams accepted the ‘Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary’ for ‘Project Nim’ on behalf of James Marsh at the 2012 Directors Guild Of America Awards in Hollywood, California this weekend.

She went back into the archives to select this Chanel Fall 2007 Couture gown.

The one-shoulder black gown with embellished details on the shoulder and along the bodice also reveals more embellishments via the thigh-high split.

The look is mesmerizing on the runway, but falls a bit flat on Michelle.

Maybe it was one of those ‘better in the flesh’ looks.

Cameron Silver In Mary Katrantzou – LAXART Ball OF Artists Event

Cameron Silver, owner of vintage emporium Decades Inc., attended the LAXART Ball OF Artists Event in Beverly Hills, California last night following a short visit to Paris for Couture Week.

He joins a growing list of men like Kanye West and the late Michael Jackson, who have taken womenswear pieces and rocked them as menswear.

On this occasion he wore a custom Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012 multi-coloured floral print suit.

I love the added twist on his look as his pants have a two-tone floral print which blends from his blazer.

Cameron added quirky touches such as his Alexis Mabille peacock feather butterfly bow tie and Christian Louboutin Havana Trash shoes to complete his look.

Bérénice Bejo In Gucci – 2012 Directors Guild of America Awards

Bérénice Bejo opted for a flapper-esqe look on the red carpet for the 2012 Directors Guild of America Awards in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

Despite any strong feelings of déjà vu that you may have about this dress, this is the first time we are seeing Look 35 on the red carpet.

Her gold and black drop-waist dress with art deco lines, and a fringed skirt was teamed with Gucci accessories including a gold and black clutch and strappy sandals.

A side-parted, side-swept ponytail and gold earrings completed her look.

I hope we continue to see more variety from her in the lead up to the Oscars.
