Runway “Heat” Fragrance Launch – Beyonce Knowles In Marc Bouwer

Beyonce Knowles presented her debut fragrance ‘Heat’ at a star-studded launch party last night in New York City’s Union Square.

Let’s discuss this, because after Beyonce Knowles stunning Grammy Award red carpet and performance looks – sans earrings and silly string in her hair – this feels like step back.

The singer wore a flamenco style asymmetrical Marc Bouwer Spring 2010 red dress.

What makes me laugh about this look is her pose, which is so “America’s Next Top Model” episode one.

I can imagine Miss J saying “Hey girl, do you like my dress?” then imitating her pose in a broke down fashion.

Something had to give with this dress, either it was the bow on the bodice or the asymmetrical ruffled hem because the dress is too cutesy for a woman of her age.

She may have opted for the black Casadei peep-toes to tone down the look somewhat, but who’s looking at the pumps when the dress is so busy?

Runway To “Vida For Espana” Launch At Macy’s – Eva Mendes In Christian Lacroix

Eva Mendes is an actress, a Calvin Klein model, she’s designed her own luxury “Vida by Eva Mendes” bedding range.

She can now table setting designer to her resume as she debuted her tabletop collection “Vida for Espana”, at Macy’s in LA last week.

The actress looked stunning wearing a Christian Lacroix Pre-Fall 2009 floral print dress with a beaded neckline.

Her look is paired with peep-toe heels and a grey fold over clutch accented with 2 golden lions.

I love her pink lips and I adore her dress. The colours are an enchanting mix, plus I love the volume.

I don’t quite get the grey clutch though. It feels so out of place with everything else that’s going on.

Runway To “Valentine’s Day” LA Press Conference – Jessica Alba In Peter Pilotto

Jessica Alba joined Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace and Shirley MacLaine at The Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday to promote their new movie “Valentine’s Day”.

Whilst posing outside the hotel we got a full length shot of Jessica wearing a beautiful Peter Pilotto Spring 2010 mini dress.

I just love the mix of colours which look like a moody sunset, and that faint snakeskin pattern.

You’d think on a bright sunny day in LA Jessica would’ve worn this dress sans grey tights, but she didn’t.

It’s a good thing for her that it doesn’t ruin her look.

Side swept bangs, grey heels and a silver armlet complete the look.

Runway To “Daybreakers” Australian Premiere – Isabel Lucas In Josh Goot

Yesterday Isabel Lucas arrived on the red carpet for the Australian premiere of “Daybreakers” in Sydney.

The Australian actress better known for her role in “Transformers” wore a beautifully colourful Josh Goot Spring 2010 dress, with black peep-toe heels.

Isabel has recently been wearing a lot of Chanel, so it’s nice to see her support an Aussie designer.

The graphic print is interesting as it has an airbrushed effect as the colours blend together.

I love the pink lips which complements the dress.

I would’ve liked to see her do something more interesting with her hair, as she always seems to sport this style, but all in all this is a great look.

Runway To “Dear John” LA Premiere – Amanda Seyfried In Giorgio Armani

Amanda Seyfried looked stunning at the LA premiere of her new film “Dear John” last night.

Channing Tatum who co-stars in the Nicolas Sparks’ adaptation joined the pretty actress on the red carpet.

Amanda wore a Giorgio Armani Spring 2010 blue silk dress with a plunging neckline, an open back and colour-blocked skirt.

Don’t worry about Amanda having a wardrobe malfunction or having to rely on tit-tape, because the plunge has a nude insert to protect her modesty.

Her look was completed with silver Brian Atwood “Kendall” pumps and a sparkling Judith Leiber Sunburst crystal-embellished clutch.

I love the mix of blue and silver.

Runway To DGA Awards – Carey Mulligan In Lanvin

If it’s not Prada it’s Lanvin.

Is Carey Mulligan’s style starting to become predictable?

At the “DGA Awards” this weekend Carey was spotted wearing one of her preferred designers on the red carpet.

Her Lanvin Spring 2010 pink one-sleeved dress was presented in black leather, which I’m glad she didn’t opt for.

The pretty dress was accented with a black stash tied to the waist, as she paired her dress with black strappy sandals and carried a black clutch.

I get a sense of de ja vu with this look, but I think that’s because there’s only so much Carey can do with her hair without looking childish by adding things like bows to it.

What do you guys think?
