Rebecca Ferguson In Mary Katrantzou – Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards

Rebecca Ferguson In Mary Katrantzou - Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards

Rebecca Ferguson attended the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards held at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London on Thursday evening.

The British singer wore a Mary Katrantzou Resort 2014 ‘Trinkolo’ dress which is a striking piece, showcasing the label at its very best; however, and I’m sad to say as Mary is one of my favourite designers, I don’t like what Rebecca has done to this look.

Her sleeveless printed party dress featuring a high round neck, a rose-and-trellis patterned bodice and a voluminous circle skirt in a contrasting pattern, which I had pictured on Poppy Delevingne or Rihanna as a performance piece, is let down by those open-toe embellished black booties which belong nowhere near this frock.

The only positive I can muster is the lip colour; just about everything else about the look is off, including – and especially – the skirt, which I will assume has a tutu underlay.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Roland Mouret – ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ Royal Premiere

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Roland Mouret - 'Mandela Long Walk To Freedom' Royal Premiere

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (Queen of Repeats) attended the royal premiere for ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ this evening in London’s Leicester Square.

She wore a Roland Mouret Fall 2009 long-sleeved ivory gown featuring a demure side slit which was a repeat.

You may remember that she wore this dress to the Thirty Club dinner back in May last year.

This time she styled the look with a statement necklace and black accessories.

I wanted to rejoice this repeat because of the rare sighting of the ponytail and Zara necklace (even though it doesn’t quite work with the dress for me), but when scrolling down she lost me at the black Mulberry clutch.

Both the clutch and shoes are way too heavy for this look.

Her styling of this look was far superior the first time around.

Now I understand why her last repeat was exactly the same from head to toe.

Sandra Bullock In Carolina Herrera – ‘Gravity’ Tokyo Premiere

Sandra Bullock In Carolina Herrera - 'Gravity' Tokyo Premiere

Following yesterday’s red-hot press conference, Sandra Bullock took to the red carpet again this evening for the ‘Gravity’ premiere in Tokyo, Japan.

This time she opted for a very elegant Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 sculptural strapless silk faille navy-blue dress featuring a flounce skirt with a contrast sheer floral lace underlay.

I really like the simplicity of the look, but the black satin Charlotte Olympia platform pumps feel so heavy with the delicate hemline. The look book heels would’ve been perfect.

Martin Katz jewels, matte nude lips and a wavy updo provided the finishing touches.

Are the shoes a deal-breaker?

Ahna O’Reilly In Tory Burch – Stella Artois’ Crystal Chalice Launch Event

Ahna O'Reilly In Tory Burch - Stella Artois' Crystal Chalice Launch Event

Ahna O’Reilly attended a launch event for Stella Artois’ Crystal Chalice in New York City yesterday evening.

The ‘Fruitvale Station’ actress wore a Tory Burch royal-gold dress which couldn’t be more season appropriate with its decorative-arts influence.

The intricate cut-out design, made from lustrous silk-blend cloqué, features a uniquely raised tactile surface with a vibrant plum-coloured underlay and the glitter of bugle beads, creating an effect of tonal and textural brilliance.

Ahna added plum-coloured Tory Burch ‘Carley’ booties, which have a mannish element with the double monk strap, with the plush velvet feel giving them a feminine edge; however, they feel too heavy for this rich-textured mini dress.

Completing her head-to-toe Tory Burch look, she carried a wine-coloured ‘Adele’ resin minaudière with an artful design and leather fringe detailing.

Is there too much going on here for your liking?

I would only ditch the shoes here.

Jessica Biel In Giambattista Valli – ‘The Truth About Emanuel’ LA Premiere

Jessica Biel In Giambattista Valli - 'The Truth About Emanuel' LA Premiere

Jessica Biel attended the premiere of Tribeca Film and Well Go USA’s ‘The Truth About Emanuel’ held at ArcLight Hollywood in California.

While it’s not quite the season to be wearing a crop top, Jessica worked the trend on the red carpet wearing a knit Giambattista Valli top with a flared cotton blend flower lace swing skirt from the designers Resort 2014 collection.

Adding to the casual vibe she added an AllSaint ‘Belmont’ leather jacket with stand out accessories including a Tiffany & Co. bracelet and Bionda Castana ‘Daphne Bis’ black lace pumps with a camouflage print which is my favourite part of this look.
