Clotilde Courau In Elie Saab Couture & Valentino – Marrakesh Film Festival

Clotilde Courau In Elie Saab Couture & Valentino - Marrakesh Film Festival

So far, French actress Clotilde Courau has made two red carpet appearances during the 13th Marrakesh International Film Festival.

Opening Ceremony: Her first look came courtesy of her favourite designer, Elie Saab. She wore a nude Spring 2013 Couture gown with exquisite embroidered details. Let’s hope she didn’t stand too close to Elsa Zylberstein at the same event, because Elsa’s Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture gown is similar to Clotilde’s Spring 2013 Couture gown.

Royal Gala Dinner: On Saturday evening, Clotilde attended the royal gala dinner wearing a neon-yellow lace Valentino Resort 2014 long-sleeved gown, which she styled with a black Roger Vivier clutch. I wasn’t immediately a fan of the clutch, but then realised how hard it must be to style a neon-yellow gown, so opting for black was probably the easiest and safest choice. You may remember that Angie Harmon wore this same gown during Paris Fashion Week.

Naomi Campbell In Zac Posen – ‘The Face’ Australia Photocall

Naomi Campbell In Zac Posen - 'The Face' Australia Photo Call

Naomi Campbell has been in Australia for a while now, and it all became clear why on Saturday evening when she attended a photocall for the Australian version of ‘The Face’ held at Carriage in Sydney.

The model and executive producer of the show looked gone-with-the-wind fabulous wearing a rich Bordeaux Zac Posen Fall 2013 cowl-neck gown with a billowing cape cascading from her shoulders.

I adore this colour on Naomi. So often she sticks to a strict black, white or black-and-white colour palette, so this is really refreshing.

My only wish is that she would’ve traded in the signature lip colour for something in a deeper hue to match her gown.

Juliette Binoche In Christian Dior – ‘Like Father, Like Son’ Marrakech Film Festival Photocall

Juliette Binoche attended the ‘Like Father, Like Son’ premiere during the 13th Marrakech International Film Festival in Marrakech, Morocco on Sunday evening.

The French actress joined Marion Cotillard and Patricia Clarkson by donning Dior, selecting a dress from the Resort 2014 collection.

Sadly for me, the look has lost all its appeal on the red carpet.

Putting the awful styling of the biker jacket and black pumps aside, the lined skirt, while necessary, loses the whimsical appeal we saw on the runway.

Elsa Zylberstein In Zuhair Murad Couture, Elie Saab & Christian Dior – Marrakech Film Festival

Elsa Zylberstein In Zuhair Murad Couture, Elie Saab & Christian Dior - Marrakech Film Festival

We are three days into the Marrakech International Film Festival, which kick-started on Friday in Morocco, and we have three looks from Elsa Zylberstein.

Opening Ceremony: At the opening ceremony, the French actress wore a Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture nude high-neck gown with lace embroidery. The first words that came to mind were “mother-to-be”. That was until I saw her next look.

‘A Thousand Times Good Night’ Premiere: Wearing a more streamline Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 black beaded gown, “mother-to-be” wasn’t my first thought. More like “what a chic, elegant look”, which she styled with a sleek centre-parted bun, a cuff and a satin bow-accented clutch.

‘Like Father, Like Son’ Premiere: Dior dresses are really dominating this festival. I’m guessing it was a prerequisite in order to attend, or the brand was smart enough to take their fabulous dresses to the event knowing they would have beautiful actresses ready to snap up their red-carpet-ready looks. Elsa wore a black-and-white strapless corseted dress with a draped detail at the hip, which you may remember we first saw on Jennifer Lawrence during Cannes Film Festival. Carrying the same black clutch from the night before, Elsa added a pair of stunning earrings and black Louboutin pumps to her look.

Amy Adams In Diane von Furstenberg – ‘American Hustle’ LA Screening

Amy Adams In Diane von Furstenberg - 'American Hustle' LA Screening

Amy Adams attended the PANDORA Jewelry and Moto X presentation of her latest movie, ‘American Hustle’, held at cinema prive in West Hollywood, California on Saturday evening alongside Elisabeth Rohm and co-star Bradley Cooper.

Dressed in black and white, Amy wore a Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2014 strapless diamond-print dress featuring a central exposed zipper, gold stud detailing, plus a contrast print at the neckline, waist and on the flap pockets.

I love this sexier, more youthful look for Amy. Sometimes I think we pigeonhole her into being ‘Miss Ladylike’, so it’s nice to see her working something different.

Makeup-wise she kept the look fresh and clean, completing her look with drop earrings and taupe Louboutin pumps.

Juliette Binoche In Carven – ‘A Thousand Times Good Night’ Marrakech International Film Festival Premiere

Juliette Binoche In Carven - ‘A Thousand Times Good Night’ Marrakech International Film Festival Premiere

Juliette Binoche attended the ‘A Thousand Times Good Night’ premiere during the 13th Marrakech International Film Festival in Marrakech, Morocco on Saturday evening.

I must say I am surprised she selected this fun and fabulous bubblegum-pink Carven Fall 2013 dress, made from textural crinkled taffeta that elicits an almost metallic sheen; I would’ve expected a more classic look from the French actress.

I possibly could’ve got on board with this look had she selected the mint-green version of this dress that you may remember we saw on Alexa Chung earlier this year, as the pink washed Juliette out somewhat.

Not that it needed much more focus or attention, but Juliette added a statement necklace to the Carven dress, with Sergio Rossi nude pumps completing the look.

Yay or nay?
