Red Carpet Fashion Awards

With everyone’s attention on Kate Middleton, Zara Phillips appears to be taking more interest in her style choices.

The newly-engaged royal attended the Cheltenham Festival last week sporting a Burberry Prorsum leather trimmed twill trench coat from the Spring 2011 collection.

Her beige military inspired trench coat was styled with a black beret and black Burberry ankle boots.

Zara would’ve got the thumbs up from me had it not been for the beret. Unfortunately it makes her look a bit costumey when everything else was so right.

The Burberry Prorsum Spring 2011 collection is currently one of the most worn collections of the year so far.

Celebrities just can’t get enough whether it’s egdey biker jacket or classic trench coats.

Alexa Chung was recently announced as the new face of Lacoste.

The British TV presenter will front a campaign for the sportswear brand’s new female fragrance which is set to be launched next January.

With this in mind, it was no great surprise to see Alexa wearing a Lacoste Spring 2010 grandad striped shirt to Glastonbury Festival in Somerset this weekend.

She wore her shirt with denim shorts, a leopard print bag and Vivienne Westwood 3 buckle flats.

Her look is typically Alexa as it’s very laid back.

It will be interesting to see what other Lacoste looks Alexa wears in the future.

LOVE IT. I love it so much I could cry.

After at totally uninspiring “Twilight” red carpet, it takes Emma Watson at Glastonbury Festival to put a smile on my face today.

There’s no red carpet, just the British countryside at her feet.

The young actress looks fabulous wearing a Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 bustier with Hudson denim shorts and the obligatory wellington boots which are Christian Louboutin Egoutina boots – although with temperatures rising in the UK I don’t think she will need them this weekend.

I love that she worked this high-end piece into her casual look.

I’m also loving the Wang/Miu Miu messy plait and the Valentino fringed leather bucket bag

She may be at school, but she’s still studying the runway as well. Bravo.

You mostly hated Katy Perry Louis Vuitton look at Coachella Music Festival.

What you you think of Emma’s efforts?

Whilst most stars at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California wore denim shorts and a tee or Topshop dresses, Katy Perry wore high end.

To us Brits festivals means muddy fields, rain and wellington boots, but this wasn’t the case for Katy who wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 dress in the Californian sunshine.

The two part dress consists of a nude dress with a layered skirt under a camouflage dress.

She accessorized her dress with fuschia pink cut-out Vicini gladiator boots, a neon pink and orange bag and Louis Vuitton sunglasses with a neon green trim.

Minus her neon accessories I love this look.

I’m happy to see this dress in this type of setting, as I’ve often struggled to picture how this will look on the red carpet.
