Emma Watson For Vogue US July 2011

When I saw this picture of Emma Watson yesterday on the cover American Vogue’s July 2011 issue, I honestly didn’t recognise her.

After reading who it was, I showed it to my sister covering the name. When I asked her who it was she got it in one with no hesitation.

Maybe I’m so used to the ‘Hermione Granger’ Emma Watson, that I can’t see past the rouge lips, slick back hair and Prada Fall 2011 paillette covered dress.

The star works a Fall 2011 in her editorial featuring Tom Ford, Aquilano.Rimondi, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.

This summer Emma will say goodbye to Hermione forever when “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,” is released in July, but Emma officially said goodbye to Hermione when she cut her hair short.

Emma talks to Vogue about finding herself after Harry Potter and balancing work and educations.

Here are some extracts from her interview, followed by her breath-taking editorial shot by Mario Testino.

On experimenting in the Harry Potter makeup trailer: “That was my playground. I would sit and play with lipsticks, foundations, and eye shadows; and every now and then [head of makeup, Amanda Knight] would let me do the extras’ face paint for the Quidditch matches.”Read More…

Last night Louis Vuitton hosted a party to celebrate Glamour magazine’s three cover girls who grace their May 2011 issue.

Emma Stone arrived looking ethereal wearing a Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2011 dress.

The empire-waist dress is accented with bronze embellishment, so I’m glad she didn’t add any additional jewels.

Emma accessorized with Christian Louboutin Banana tie dye peep toes and a Louis Vuitton striped clutch from the Resort 2011 collection.

Curly blonde hair and pink lips completed her look.

Gwen Stefani In Elle US May 2011

Gwen Stefani graces the cover of Elle US May 2011 issue, which focuses on women in music.

Dusan Reljin shot the beautiful singer and designer wearing Givenchy and Michael Kors.

Gwen shares that she takes much pride in her appearance, but she would never place herself in the same category as Lady Gaga or Katy Perry, as she thinks they are much sexier than her.

I totally disagree. Gwen is waaaay hotter than those two put together.

The Women in Music issue also features multiple female singers stars including Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Beyonce and Willow Smith.

Read more at Elle.com. The May issue hits newsstands April 12.

Here are some extracts from Gwen’s interview:

On writing hits: “I do! Why wouldn’t you want that many people listening to the songs that you wrote? There’s no way to go back after you have had it. So the intentions of even the solo records were always about trying to write those guilty-pleasure albums that just get in your head and you can’t get out. I’m not cool, I’m not into the B-sides. Prince, who is one of my idols, gave me some advice when I worked with him: “Have you ever just tried writing a hit? Like, don’t just try writing a song, try and write a hit song.” I remember him saying that and me thinking, Yeah, you’re right. Why would you write anything else?”Read More…
