Even More Freida Pinto For Vogue India

What can I say about Freida Pinto’s Vogue India March 2009 editorial, that has not been said already? I have totally run out of superlatives. This shoot just keeps getting better and better.

The Lanvin close-up is outstanding. I really love this lipstick on her.

You can read her full interview here and here.

Jennifer Aniston For Elle UK April 2009

Jennifer Aniston graces the cover of April 2009 edition of Elle UK.

The cover star looks relaxed wearing a Gucci vest and shorts, with her trademark slightly wavy hairstyle.

She has been traveling in Europe for the past week, promoting her hit movie Marley & Me co-star Owen Wilson, and she has been giving us touches of colour on the red carpet.

I have actually started to look forward to what she is going to wear next. The anticipation has finally made her interesting to watch, glow and make us forget about linking her with Brangelina.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On her divorce: “No matter what I say, things will always be taken out of context and misinterpreted, will always be turned around to make it seem as though I won’t let something go, or that I just keep talking about it over and over. I don’t owe anybody anything. I don’t owe anybody my side of the story. There are no sides! There is no bad guy and there is no good guy. There are no villains and there is no heroine in this story. It’s just not the case.”

On her diet: “I’m a realist. I know that if I eat nothing but burgers and chips, I’m not going to be hired for the parts I normally would. That might be fine one day, but not right now.”

On being happy: “I remind myself every day that I am lucky. Look what’s out there. Look what people are really living through. There’s no comparison. I am happy.

On movie roles: “I get offered funny, quirky, pretty roles. I’d love to do an action movie. James Bond! Glamour! Daniel Craig! Sh*t-loads of fun!”

Freida Pinto For Cosmopolitan India March 2009

Oscar fever is over, but the Freida Pinto fever is still on. After her Vogue India cover, comes her Cosmopolitan March 2009 cover.

On the cover she wears a mini blue Blumarine Spring 2009 dress, which she wears as a one-shouldered dress, instead of strapless, as it appeared on the runway.

The Indian beauty reveals in her interview, that she went through who went through rounds of auditions for six months, before she landed her role in Slumdog Millionaire.

On her red carpet moments: “I’m just trying to enjoy it as much as I can, because it happens only once in a lifetime. It’s a blessing, and I need to learn to relish and savour each moment, so that’s what I’m doing. And, most importantly, breathe!!”

On acting: “In India, it’s hard to find a project because most of it is Bollywood, which is very exaggerated. Most of what they make is over-the-top escapist, and life isn’t always so escapist. I realized what I wanted to do was connect with people, not seem unattainable or untouchable.”

Freida also appears on the cover of Maxim India March 2009. Click here to see her editorial.

Leighton Meester For InStyle US March 2009

Leighton Meester is featured inside the pages of InStyle’s US March 2009 edition.

I don’t know about you, but I really dislike the make-up in this shoot.

All the looks are gorgeous and have a happy spring vibe to them, then that’s countered with a sullen looking Leighton.

In the video below, the Gossip Girl actress talks dresses, designers and fashion inspirations, which include her mum and Blair Waldorf herself.

More Freida Pinto For Vogue India March 2009

I have found another picture of Freida Pinto for Vogue India March 2009.

This time she is wearing a lavender and aqua coloured Lanvin Spring 2009 bejeweled dress, with the black embellished runway shoes.

The Vogue cover emerged just hours after it was revealed that Freida is lined up to star in Woody Allen’s next film.

Allen moved quickly to secure the services of the 24-year-old actress, the latest in a long line of female muses featured in his films.

Freida will star alongside Josh Brolin, Naomi Watts and Anthony Hopkins in what will only be her second film.

Freida Pinto For Vogue India March 2009

I knew it wouldn’t be long before Freida Pinto would land a magazine cover. The Indian beauty has been wowing us with her red carpet style, so she was a natural choice to be the March 2009 cover girl of Vogue India.

She looks gorgeous on the cover, wearing a cute embellished mini dress from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2009 collection. The dress also has cut-outs, metallics and sheer capped shoulders, which work with dark lips and soft curls. I would have loved to see her full-length in this dress.

On begin recognised for her style: “I’ve become so much more aware of the fashion world recently ”” and I’m doomed now. There’s no turning back.”

On her own style mantra: “You’ve got to go with instinct, the right dress will make your heart skip a beat. You’ve got to fall in love with what you’re wearing to really pull it off.”

At the Vogue shoot, when a reporter asked stylist Tiina Laakkonen why Pinto isn’t being dressed exclusively in Indian fashion, Pinto grabbed a pencil and scribbled her answer on a scrap of paper, ‘Because she’s international now!’

The magazine hits stands today.

Gwyneth Paltrow For Elle UK March 2009

Gwyneth Paltrow appears in the March 2009 edition of Elle UK wearing a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble, which consisted of a black satin jacket with voluminous sleeves and black and white polka dot shorts.

Her her very candid interview, she talked a little about her marriage.

On never appearing in public with her husband: “It doesn’t behoove us to be a public couple . . . He certainly doesn’t want to be that. We’ve never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will. If people think that that means we’re not together, then – ha ha ha! – so be it.”

On her goody two-shoes image: “I’m probably less square than people think. I never get drunk to the point of throwing up. But I get very talkative.”

On a blogger accusing her of looking like prostitute wearing a white strapless Stella McCartney dress: “People don’t realise, sometimes you wear a dress because your friend made it.”

On her style transformation: “I just got out of sweatpants, out of mummy mode. I love fashion , but when you’re breastfeeding and you’re a stone-and-a-half overweight, it’s demoralising to try to wear good clothes.”

On what prompted her to chop her famous waist length hair last year: “My hairstylist, an old friend, was brushing my hair and I was like, ‘F*ck this hair! Cut my hair.”

You will notice that Gwyneth wore the white Balmain tuxedo jacket below, to the Entertainment Industry Foundation Gala this week.
