Kate Winslet channels Catherine Deneuve on the December 2008 edition of Vanity Fair, looking every inch the superstar she is, wearing nothing but a YSL white coat, and YSL gold tribute pumps.

I think this has got to be one of her best photo shoots to date.

Kate is promoting two films in December, Revolutionary Road and The Reader. I am not sure if there is any Oscar buzz for either movie, but the actress still holds the title of being the youngest actress ever to earn five Oscar nominations.

On her fashion sense: “I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, I should make more of an effort. … But then I think, they can’t be happy in those heels.”

On her acting skills: “I know that in order to do my job as truthfully as I can—because to me that’s everything—you really have to not give a f**k [about what people think]. You have to be prepared to look stupid and you have to be prepared to walk around naked in front of a crew of people you’ve never met before and may never see again. And it is scary.”

On her weight: “This is going to sound really weird, but I never had a desire to be famous. I never had huge ambitions—never.… I was fat. I didn’t know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid. Because you always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else. And I still sort of have that. I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, I should make more of an effort. I should look like that. But then I think, ‘They can’t be happy in those heels’.”

Jennifer Lopez looks amazing on the cover of InStyle Greece November 2008, showing off her famed curves in a figure hugging dress.

You may remember that we first saw the candids for this photoshoot back in September, when Jennifer was posing in Dolce & Gabbana and Pucci on the north side of the sacred rock of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.

When I saw Jennifer posing in that stunning Dolce & Gabbana ball gown, I knew the pictures would be spectacular, and I was not wrong.

Here are some extracts from Jennifer’s interview:

On how she takes care of herself: “I have never smoked and I don’t drink any alcohol. That plays a major role for a clear skin. And sleep of course. When you don’t sleep enough, your skin suffers.

On how she relaxes: “I’ll choose either a massage or a warm bath, which I will enjoy in peace and quiet for some time. I like to steal a little time for myself”.

On her favourite piece of clothing or accessory: I love them all. I’m very girly in that respect. I like shoes, dresses, jeans, scarves, hats, jewellery…all of it! It’s difficult for me to choose a favourite!”

On fashion: “Since every woman’s body is different, every woman must take into account what suits her figure. Dress in clothes and accessories that you feel are flattering and make you feel good wearing them. In the end, the mood a piece of clothing gives you, affects the amount of self confidence you sport it with”.

On Style: “Every style is important, from simplest to the most ornate and elaborate. All the elements are crucial, comfort, style and, of course, elegance. Everything has its time and place. Although a comfortable or practical piece of clothing is nice, sacrificing comfort and perhaps suffering a little to wear something more modern, and edgy, is also attractive”.

Beyonce Knowles appears in Gotham’s magazine’s November 2008 edition.

Recently she has spoken out about the magazine article in which she revealed she almost suffered a nervous breakdown, insisting she may have been misquoted.

The pop superstar is far from happy with the Gotham magazine piece, in which she reportedly stated she was headed towards a collapse two years ago.

Beyonce now says, “I wouldn’t say I was on the verge of a breakdown. That’s a very strong thing to say.”

She adds, “Maybe. I have been before.”

Here is what the magazine quote her as saying:

“Years ago, I was definitely headed for a breakdown.
Just way too much work—my life was my career and I had no other life. It started when I was 15 and I hadn’t learned the importance of balance, making sure I took a day off. I didn’t know what ‘no’ was, what boundaries were. At this point, I know that after a certain amount of time I have to go home. I know what I like now. It just takes life experience to get a good balance. When you’re young, you don’t know what relaxes you.”

Beyonce Knowles seems to be everywhere at the moment, including the latest cover of Essence magazine.

In the latest issue of InStyle US November 2008, she shares her fashion and beauty secrets and her love for trend-setting 70s artists who weren’t afraid to try something fresh.

On her must-have accessory: “I’m not dressed unless I have earrings on, like big hoops. I’ve always worn big earrings. Off the red carpet, I don’t really feel comfortable with many rings and bracelets on. I love earrings though.”

On her designer obsessions: “Alexander McQueen and Jean Paul Gaultier are two designers I love right now. Their clothes are feminine, sexy and modern. I just went to the Giuseppe Zanotti showroom, and he had the most spectacular shoes. It was like being in a candy store.  I was obsessed with every shoe! Right now, I love anything with a high platform.”

On her style icons: “Charlize Theron is always beautiful and feminine. I love her couture looks and dramatic silhouette. Halle Berry is elegant and sophisticated. I love that in the seventies Cher and Diana Ross looked like superstars and never played it safe. When they were onstage, they gave you drama and I love drama.”

On her pre-superstar style: “Growing up, I was a tomboy. I refused to carry a purse and wouldn’t wear a dress. That was the eighties and it was all about the hip-hop influence baggy jeans and big shirts. [Her mother, Tina Knowles] hated it! But then I started singing and ended up watching all of the footage of the Supremes and Tina Turner. And I thought to myself, ‘They’re so beautiful. I want to be like them.’”

On her off-camera style: “I’m a lot more conservative in my personal life. But even when I’m dressed down, I wear a nice shirt, nice jeans and stilettos. Even when I go on vacation, where no one’s going to see me, I enjoy picking out new clothes, bathing suits and accessories. I do it for myself because I enjoy fashion. It makes me feel like me.”

Even Simon Cowell couldn’t have imagined that his protégée Leona Lewis would achieve success on such a global scale. The softly spoken vegan from Hackney, London has topped the US charts, were so many UK acts have tried and failed, and she even reduced Oprah to tears with her beautiful singing voice on her show.

The Brit singing sensation appeared on the cover of the Evening Standard magazine on Friday, looking amazing wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2008 dress, which is similar, but not the same as the dress Lily Allen wore to the GQ Men of the Year Awards.

On being a high-street girl: “A lot of people spend money on shoes and bags, but I get mine really cheap because I don’t wear any leather.”

On accusation of her blandness: “I’ve got my stories, but I don’t flash my business everywhere because that’s not me.”

On what would happen if everything stopped as quickly as it started: “I’m a bit insecure about things. I’m hoping it will keep going. The day I stop being grateful, is the day I don’t deserve this anymore.”

Here is her stunning editorial. I especially love the Giambattista Valli dress.

UK girl group, Girls Aloud unveiled a new picture in the UK’s number one gay magazine, Attitude, for their November 2008 edition.

The girls displayed plenty of attitude not only in their photo shoot, but also in their interview.

Cheryl Cole revealed she finds it infuriating when people on the talent show X Factor say they want to be “the new Spice Girls”.

She told Attitude magazine: “We recognise what the Spice Girls did, but it really annoys me when you meet girls who go, ‘We wannabe the next Spice Girls.”

“Yes, they had worldwide domination, but they fell out, b****ed about each other and went their separate ways. We’ve been around for all this time, fighting to climb each step of the ladder, putting our hearts into everything.”

The girls all look amazing each wearing a multi-coloured crystal studded dress or top from the Sonia Rykiel Fall 2008 collection.

Beyonce Knowles graces the cover of the Essence’s November 2008 issue wearing a Fall 2008 coat by Viktor & Rolf.

The singer will be co-starring in two upcoming films, the psychological thriller Obsessed and Cadillac Records, where she’ll star as Etta James. Personally I would prefer her to stick to the singing.

With Essence, Beyonce talks about her new album and life in the spotlight. She also talks for the first time about her wedding to rapper Jay-Z, which is not a surprise considering she now has an album to promote.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On getting married: “We’ve been together a long time. We always knew it would happen. What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real.”

On not wanting an engagement ring: “People put too much emphasis on that. It’s just material, and it’s just silly to me.”

On the small ceremony: “[I'm not a] traditional woman. It’s been my day so many days already.”

On her legacy: “I want to be acknowledged as a woman in a very talented group with great harmonies and great songs that made history and changed the culture of women, not only in America but all over the world. [A woman] who could sing a cappella and write her own songs and produce her own songs.”
