Helen Mirren In Dolce & Gabbana – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Helen Mirren In Dolce & Gabbana – 2015 Golden Globes

Helen Mirren rocked red at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday (January 11).

At almost 70 years old, we’ve seen that Helen Mirren has the bod and the confidence to rock a bikini but she truly stuns when she dons glamorous gowns. This red rhinestone encrusted long-sleeve Dolce & Gabbana dress flatters and highlights the Dame’s enviable figure.

With a shiny blonde bob and dangling Chopard earrings, this scarlet color is the perfect choice for this actress.

Her outfit gets our praises, as does her Charlie Hebdo pin.

Keira Knightley In Chanel – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Keira Knightley In Chanel - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Keira Knightley was back on the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 11) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Nominated for best supporting actress for ‘The Imitation Game,’ she took the opportunity to wear a custom Chanel design, based on a look from the Pre-Fall 2015 collection, which she accessorized by Chanel Fine Jewelry.

The mum-to-be has so far failed to impress with her maternity looks, and unfortunately she does nothing to change my mind here.

I wasn’t a particular fan of this look on the runway, and I still cannot find a fond place in my heart for the ruffled bib-like bodice and tiered skirting—although I am glad that the equally ruffled sleeves have disappeared on Keira’s version.

That’s not to say that the butterfly print of this dress, right down to the over-sized butterfly accent piece on her wrist, isn’t right in line with the star’s bohemian style.

What do you make of this piece?

Taylor Schilling In Ralph Lauren – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Taylor Schilling In Ralph Lauren – 2015 Golden Globes

Taylor Schilling took the Red Carpet’s breath away at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

The “Orange is the New Black” star looked regal in a Ralph Lauren Collection Custom scarlet halter dress, paired with a Ferragamo clutch of a similar shade.

The gown is a sexy backless, with a racy keyhole cut in the front. Taylor’s middle part and tight knot were perfectly complemented by her minimal makeup and strong, red lips.

Her look was both classy and alluring.

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Miu Miu – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Miu Miu - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Maggie Gyllenhaal attended the 2015 Golden Globes Awards on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

Maggie, who is nominated for “Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries”  for her work in The Honourable Woman, picked a rosy Miu Miu column dress.

While a straight silhouette is a viable option for any red carpet attendee, this ensemble was quite dull especially for a Golden Globe nominee. Though muted pink isn’t a universally flattering color, the lack of statement accessories is what really hindered this ensemble. Note to self: a single lackluster bracelet makes an otherwise symmetrical outfit feel a bit crooked.

To look more like a nominee, the actress should’ve opted for a statement necklace or a vibrant hue.

Lorde In Narciso Rodriguez – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Lorde In Narcisco Rodriguez – 2015 Golden Globes Awards 2

Lorde tried the tuxedo trend at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday (January 11).

With baggy ill-fitting black pants and a peekaboo transparent crop top, the singer was a renegade on the red carpet in her Narciso Rodriguez Pre-Fall 2015 pantsuit in black. Adding to the maverick style, she opted for a heavy ornate diamond and platinum Neil Lane choker.

With hair styled into a low bun, the look was even more severe. And with goth cherry red lipstick, Lorde looked dated and older.

This outfit felt more Addams Family than up-and-coming rockstar.

Salvaging this look would involve a tailor and a trip to a tween store.
