Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Looking back at Jennifer Aniston’s promotional tour for “The Bounty Hunter” one thing is clear. She loves Valentino.

She has done for a long time so this is no surprise to us.

The surprise was when she wore the pink Christian Lacroix Couture bathrobe gown mostly because it wasn’t black.

My fave looks were of course her Donna Karan gown and her Valentino Berlin dress.

Looking back Kristen Stewart had a pretty good run on the red carpet promoting “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”.

It all started in Paris with J. Mendel and ended with Valentino in New York.

My personal favourite was the Proenza Schouler ensemble closely followed by J.Mendel and Jason Wu.

The Proenza Schouler look suits her smoldering moody vibe she gives us, whilst the J.Mendel and Jason Wu looks showed us she can do the girlie thing without looking to OTT like the Oscar de la Renta which I still believe was too princess-like for her.

Which was you favourite?

Leona Lewis take note. It’s better to mix things up, than stick to the same look/designer.

Penelope Cruz has had an impressive 10 months promoting “Los Abrazos Rotos” wearing looks from L’Wren Scott, Herve Leroux and Calvin Klein.

It’s impossible for me to pick one favourite so my picks are the L’Wren Scott black gown, the Marchesa gown and Bottega Veneta red suit.

Can you narrow your favourite down to one?

Whilst in Paris I was inspired to write this post about Audrey Tautou.

She had many magnificent looks during her promotional tour of her movie “Coco Avant Chanel” which started wearing Chanel Couture in Paris, and ended wearing Chanel Couture in New York.

Many of you were happy that Audrey mixed things up a bit and didn’t stick to just wearing Chanel, but I thought her best moment came when she wore Chanel.

First and last are my joint favourites with the Lanvin as runner up.

“G.I. Joe The Rise Of The Cobra” opens in cinema’s today so it should be safe to do this poll without more look needing to be added – I hope.

July 20 seems like a lifetime ago when Sienna Miller started her promotional tour of “G.I. Joe The Rise Of The Cobra” in Sydney wearing a Poltock & Walsh dress and Chloe boots.

Since then we’ve had bold (Gucci), unpredictiable (Loewe), chic, (Brian Reyes), cute (Diane von Furstenberg), cool (harem pants), crazy (animal print pants) and lust worthy (Isabel Marant ankle boots) looks, but not one single hint of boho.

Which was your favourite look? I’m torn between Isabel Marant, Peter Pilotto, Brian Reyes, the Diane von Furstenberg floral dress, and the final golden gown.
