Menswear Round Up

Menswear round up

Jude Law: In mid-February at the ‘Side Effects’ Berlin photocall, Jude wore a red v-neck shirt under his Prada double-breasted suit. At the film’s Paris premiere at UGC Cine Cite des Halles on Thursday, he attempted, and failed at, a similar look; the star of the film arrived in a Prada navy double-breasted suit over a charcoal v-neck shirt. The jacket looked nice and the v-neck worked, but his baggy pants ruined it all.

Leonardo DiCaprio: At the Seoul, South Korea premiere of ‘Django Unchained’ on Thursday, Leo sported a Tom Ford navy three-piece suit with wide peak lapels and a matching navy tie. This look had everything going for it, except proper tailoring. Not only did his jacket need to be nipped in at the sides to give him more of a V shape, his pants were rather baggy. So close, but yet so far.

Adrien Brody: In the most dapper look of the week, Adrien was in attendance for Carine Roitfeld’s ‘CR Fashion Book Issue 2′ cocktail party as part of Paris Fashion Week at Hotel Shangri-La on Tuesday. The actor arrived wearing a well-tailored Margiela black shawl-lapel suit along with a white shirt and black ankle boots, both of which were also Margiela. He styled his look nicely with a black bow tie and a black-faced watch.

Allison Williams In Christian Dior – ‘Girl Rising’ New York Premiere

Allison Williams In Christian Dior - 'Girl Rising' New York Premiere

‘Girl Rising’ is an inspiring film which tells the true stories of nine girls from nine different countries who are doing their part to fight for a chance to have an education.

Allison Williams showed her support for the film by attending the premiere held at the Paris Theatre in New York City yesterday evening.

Keeping her look simple yet chic the actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2013 strapless dress.

Her double-breasted tuxedo dress with mini lapels and side pockets was styled with Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and black Dior pumps.

We all know that Allison has the most enviable tresses, but I love that she opted to style her hair into a chic center-parted updo for a refreshing change.

Emmy Rossum In Oscar de la Renta – ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ New York Screening

Emmy Rossum In Oscar de la Renta - 'Oz The Great and Powerful' New York Screening

Emmy Rossum was at the DGA Theater yesterday evening attending the Gucci and Cinema Society screening of ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ in New York City.

The one person whose closet I would love to spend the day rifling through, other than Victoria Beckham’s, is Emmy Rossum.

She always picks the most perfect, ultra-feminine, girlie look for each occasion, which always put me in a good mood.

The actress looked delightful and ready for spring, wearing a baby-blue Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013 dress with pink-and-aqua floral-print paillette embroidery which made her look sparkle on the red carpet.

Not slacking on the shoe front, she donned bi-colour green-and-aqua satin pumps from the same collection, with a taupe python clutch also accessorizing her look.

A grey manicure, rosy cheeks, pink lips and a half-up, half-down hairstyle provided the finishing touches.

Halle Berry In Helmut Lang – ‘The Call’ LA Premiere

Halle Berry in Helmut Lang - The Call LA Premiere

When Halle Berry took to the red carpet for the 2013 Oscars recently, many of you believed that she was pregnant.

I have a feeling that belief will be further ignited following her look at the LA premiere for ‘The Call’ yesterday evening.

The actress wore a typical black draped flutter-sleeve top and a Helmut Lang leather asymmetrical skirt with a chain-linked gold belt resting low on the waist.

Could this be trying to disguise a baby bump or is she trying to jazz up yet another all-black look?

Who knows; I just wish she would switch things up more often. While I get that she loves all-black looks and Helmut Lang as much as I love Elie Saab, I wish she would be a little bit more adventurous as her looks seem to merge into one.

Her Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, however, are to die for.

Halle Berry In Helmut Lang – ‘The Call’ Chicago Premiere

Halle Berry In Helmut Lang - 'The Call' Chicago Premiere

After wowing at the 2013 Oscars in Atelier Versace, Halle Berry went back to her tried (tired) and tested red carpet formula by sporting an LBD for the premiere of ‘The Call’ held at the Showplace Icon Theater in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday evening.

The biggest surprise here is that her Helmut Lang dress doesn’t have a plunging neckline.

Instead, the Helmut Lang ‘Gala’ dress with an asymmetrical neckline features a cut-out in the shoulder.

Her signature hairstyle and Brian Atwood ‘Uma’ sandals completed her look.

Audrey Tautou In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Populaire’ New York Premiere

Audrey Tautou In Giambattista Valli Couture - 'Populaire' New York Premiere

Audrey Tautou made a welcome return to the red carpet at the Paris Theatre in New York City last night for the ‘Populaire’ premiere.

Known for wearing Chanel, the French actress wore a Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture gown on this occasion.

Her black macramé lace gown was tea-length on the leggy model, whereas it just hits the floor on the petite actress.

I love the simple, elegant styling of this look. Just a black clutch, rosy cheeks and a bronze lip colour completed her look.
