Elle Fanning In Alexander McQueen – ‘Maleficent’ Japan Premiere

Elle Fanning In Alexander McQueen - 'Maleficent' Japan Premiere

Elle Fanning attended the ‘Maleficent’ Japan premiere held at Ebisu Garden Place on Monday (June 23) in Tokyo, Japan.

The actress has stuck to an ethereal princess-like look which hasn’t strayed too far from her character in the movie, and that trend continued today.

Elle wore an Edwardian-style Alexander McQueen Fall 2014 ivory moon-and-star-embroidered silk tulle feather-hem gown styled with wavy tresses and a few rings.

You may remember that Marion Cotillard wore a similar dress to the amfAR Cannes Gala, heavily lining the piece so the embroidery wasn’t at all visible.

Elle opted to wear a tonal bodysuit instead to ensure that the exquisite detailing could be seen and that the very essence of the look was kept very much intact.

Li Bingbing In Stéphane Rolland Couture – ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Shanghai Premiere

"Transformers" Shanghai Premiere

Li Bingbing the ‘Transformers : Age Of Extinction’ Shanghai premiere held at Shanghai Grand Theatre on Sunday (June 22) in Shanghai, China alongside co-star Nicola Peltz.

The Asian beauty wore another Stephane Rolland Spring 2014 Couture gown.

There was perhaps a total of three of us who liked her previous look for its uniqueness and sculptural brilliance; on this occasion, though, put me in the dislike category.

I’m neither a fan of the colour or the ruffle detail, and this time the sheer panel in the skirt doesn’t work.

I don’t know how to fluff this, so I will just go ahead and say that I feel the gown looks really cheap.

Nicola Peltz In Giambattista Valli Couture - 17th Shanghai International Film Festival Award & Closing Cermony

Nicola Peltz attended the ‘Transformers : Age Of Extinction’ Shanghai premiere held at Shanghai Grand Theatre on Sunday (June 22) in Shanghai, China.

The actress wore a heavenly Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture strapless embroidered silk gown featuring a layered mini skirt and flowing lace skirt giving the piece a striking silhouette.

I am sure many of you are ticking this ethereal beauty off your red carpet wish list, as I am. This is a gown worthy of a big-budget movie premiere.

Opting for smouldering eye makeup and wavy tresses, does Nicola sell this look to you?

She totally nailed it for me.

Nicola Peltz attended the ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’ photocal held at Expo I-Pavilion on Saturday (June 21) in Shanghai, China alongside co-star Li Bingbing.

The actress kept it sassy and simple wearing another Stella McCartney design, donning an LBD with a few twists courtesy of the cut-outs at the waist and the wavy hemline in a contrasting hue, which is a signature of McCartney’s Fall 2014 collection.

Wavy tresses, neutral makeup and simple black pumps completed her look.

Li Bingbing In Sass & Bide - 'Transformers Age Of Extinction' Shanghai Premiere

Li Bingbing attended the ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’ photocall held at Expo I-Pavilion on Saturday (June 21) in Shanghai, China.

The actress wore a Sass & Bide Pre-Fall 2014 floor-length dress featuring a mini skirt underlay and metallic-gold woven panels across the shoulders.

I don’t know about you, but I feel totally underwhelmed by this look. It’s lacking in all departments: style, originality, innovation…

Someone of Bingbing’s stature can do so much better than this.

You may remember that Eva Longoria wore this same dress earlier this month.

Menswear Roundup

Menswear Roundup

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor is still on a hot streak from awards season as he picked up Best Actor in a Drama Series for ‘True Detective’ at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Keeping it simple and classic, the actor wore an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture burgundy herringbone, two-button, notch-lapel suit with a bow tie. His double monk-strap shoes don’t hide the fact that his trousers are just a tad too long.

Mark Wahlberg: The actor joined Li Bingbing and Nicola Peltz on the red carpet for the ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Hong Kong premiere wearing an Armani suit. I love the light grey colour with the lighter blue tie, but the fit is way off for me. It feels at least a size too big.

Josh Dallas: The ‘Once Upon A Time’ actor joined Matthew at the Critics’ Choice Awards yesterday evening. Keeping it all black and not opting for a tie, the actor wore a Z Zegna shawl-collar suit with a grosgrain lapel and buttoned-up shirt.
