Liya Kebede In Proenza Schouler – ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Liya Kebede In Proenza Schouler - 'Mad Max Fury Road' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Liya Kebede attended the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ premiere during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) in Cannes, France.

As good as Liya always looks in Louis Vuitton, there was a huge sigh of relief that she put her love for all things Nicolas Ghesquière on pause for one night.

She turned to her second favourite designer, Proenza Schouler, selecting a deconstructed ensemble from the Fall 2015 collection.

With that copper textural sequin-embroidery asymmetrical top she was guaranteed to effortlessly stun anew at every turn, especially since she has such an enviable figure.

Styled with PS1 sandals and a Proenza Schouler silver minaudière, she pulled the look off with ease.

Ashley Tisdale In Alice + Olivia & SAFiYAA – ‘Tomorrowland’ LA Premiere & Turner Network 2015 Upfront

Ashley Tisdale In Alice + Olivia & SAFiYAA - 'Tomorrowland' LA Premiere & Turner Network 2015 Upfront

Ashley Tisdale recently attended the ‘Tomorrowland’ Los Angeles premiere and the Turner Network 2015 Upfront event in New York, crossing the country and completely switching up her look in the process.

‘Tomorrowland’ LA Premiere: For the premiere at AMC Downtown Disney 12 Theatre in Anaheim, California on Saturday (May 9), the actress sparkled in an Alice + Olivia sequin-embellished jacket and ‘Dina’ black pumps. While the shoes bore me to tears, they served to keep the focus firmly on the high shine of the jacket and its flurry of whimsical flower and bird shapes.

Turner Network 2015 Upfront: Taking her look in another direction at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday (May 13), she wore SAFiYAA Spring 2015 white separates that mixed a mannish tuxedo coat with the more seductive allure of a white Lovers and Friends crop top and skinny pants. Perhaps due to the humdrum styling, the ensemble just fell a bit flat. A new ‘do and the pop of a bright lip would have been welcome.

Cannes Film Festival Menswear Roundup

Cannes Film Festival Menswear Roundup
It was hard to remove my gaze from the breathtaking gowns at on the first day, Wednesday (May 13), of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, but a handful of menswear looks were worthy of mention.

Xavier Dolan: The French-Canadian actor cut a striking profile in his blue Louis Vuitton double-breasted suit paired with a black-and-white chequered sweater. It’s a perfect look for the Jury photocall, as it projects a coolly suave edge without even trying. You may remember that the suit was previously worn by Michiel Huisman.

John Legend: Attending the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute,’ the singer couldn’t have looked more handsome in his traditional black Gucci tuxedo, making a solid argument for the power of a classic tux worn in superior fashion.

Jake Gyllenhaal: The actor was also at the opening ceremony and premiere and likewise catching plenty of stares for being well-dressed in a dark Tom Ford tuxedo and bow tie, even if I also like to see him in blues to bring out his steely stare.

Here is a quick round-up of some of the other models who attended the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

Doutzen Kroes: Versace were on fire tonight as Doutzen also looked breath-taking wearing a white gown from the Atelier Versace Spring 2015 collection, spliced with cut-outs to enhance the sex appeal.

Liya Kebede: Yep, it’s Louis Vuitton, again. While she rocks the hell out of this metallic silver mini, but like Jennifer Connelly, I’m dying for her to give LV a break and do something new.

Aymeline Valade: The model wore an Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2014 Couture light-blue satin midi dress with a Yelets lace top. I think I would’ve preferred this without the exaggerated hips.

That brings things to a close. Who would you like to see in the best dressed of the day poll?

Sienna Miller In Lanvin – ‘La Tete Haute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Sienna Miller In Lanvin - ‘La Tete Haute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Sienna Miller took her position on the red carpet alongside her fellow judges for the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

The British actress glided down the red carpet wearing a blue Lanvin gown artfully and elegantly gathered at one side with a contrasting black bow, and styled with Atelier Swarovski earrings.

This look may not sweep you off your feet, but I enjoy the stately glamour of it all.

My hope for variety may not be fulfilled, as it appears she’s going to stick with these more understated looks.

Rokia Traoré attended the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France alongside fellow judge Jake Gyllenhaal.

It’s quite a feat to be distracted from Jake when he is looking that fine, but Rokia manages to do so looking ever so regal and totally captivating in her Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture gown.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a cape gown done right.

The arms shouldn’t be totally obscured as they were on Pink’s gown. The whole look should be effortless and free flowing.
