Sienna Miller In Lanvin – ‘La Tete Haute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Sienna Miller In Lanvin - ‘La Tete Haute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Sienna Miller took her position on the red carpet alongside her fellow judges for the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

The British actress glided down the red carpet wearing a blue Lanvin gown artfully and elegantly gathered at one side with a contrasting black bow, and styled with Atelier Swarovski earrings.

This look may not sweep you off your feet, but I enjoy the stately glamour of it all.

My hope for variety may not be fulfilled, as it appears she’s going to stick with these more understated looks.

Rokia Traoré attended the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France alongside fellow judge Jake Gyllenhaal.

It’s quite a feat to be distracted from Jake when he is looking that fine, but Rokia manages to do so looking ever so regal and totally captivating in her Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture gown.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a cape gown done right.

The arms shouldn’t be totally obscured as they were on Pink’s gown. The whole look should be effortless and free flowing.

Clotilde Courau attended the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

The French beauty usually sticks to a Elie Saab, but on this occasion she donned a minimalist Valentino Fall 2014 Couture dress with stately cape detail.

Had this been worn by someone like Tilda Swinton, I would’ve begrudged the necklace as Tilda is all about keeping it very simple. Here, the ruby stone Bulgari High Jewelry necklace only serves to enhance the sophisticated look.

Katrina Kaif, aka the new kid on the L’Oreal block, attended the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

Endearing herself to me very quickly, she stunned wearing an Oscar de la Renta Fall 2015 black rose macramé gown with flower and ostrich feather embroidery.

I love this look for its elegance with a hint of sex appeal, how do you think she did on her first night on this big stage?

Her jewels were Chopard.

The model probably had one job this evening – provide some glamour; and she did so in spades, wearing a Georges Hobeika Spring 2015 couture gown in a delicate pink hue.

I know some are not so enamoured by princess gowns, but I live for these red carpet moments. They have always signified glamour to me.

Again, the necklace kills the look, but it’s a flaw I can overcome in the face of such beauty.

Isabella Rossellini attended the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

Giving us our third caped gown of the day, Isabella’s Stella McCartney may appear simple at the front, but there’s a colour-block party going on at the back.

The only downside of this look for me is the fabric. It looks a bit flimsy and –dare I say – cheap.

She styled the look with Stella McCartney accessories including a metallic silver ‘Falabella’ clutch and ‘Beckett’ silver flat sandals.

Her jewels were Chopard.

Catherine Deneuve In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture – ‘La Tete Haute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Catherine Deneuve attended the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

My prediction of the French actress wearing Louis Vuitton for the premiere was wrong, as she opted for her second favourite designer Jean Paul Gaultier.

These Spring 2015 couture hybrid dresses haven’t gone down too well on Kylie Minogue and Naomi Campbell, but – call me crazy – I think it works at Cannes.

Deneuve’s dress is bold in colour and has a quirk you can only get away with in Europe, living up to the ‘go big or go home’ mantra this festival was built on.
