Stana Katic In Chloé – ‘White Bird in a Blizzard’ LA Premiere

Stana Katic In Chloé - 'White Bird in a Blizzard' LA Premiere

Stana Katic was back on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘White Bird in a Blizzard’ held at ArcLight Hollywood on Tuesday (October 21) in Hollywood, California.

Opting for a winter-white look with a summery flair, the actress wore a Chloé Spring 2014 light and airy layered white chiffon halter dress with a plunging neckline.

Usually a fan of more tailored and fitted looks, I love this softer, looser-fitted feminine offering. However, the cream Chloé clutch was way too big for this look; I wish she’d opted for the smaller ‘Elsie’ bag instead.

The bag doesn’t totally kill the effortless vibe, which was completed with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a simple ponytail.

Rinko Kikuchi attended the ‘Last Summer’ premiere held during the 9th Rome Film Festival at the Auditorium Parco della Musica on Saturday (October 18) in Rome, Italy.

The actress wore a Chanel Spring 2014 Couture gold sleeveless corseted dress embroidered with multicolour pastel sequins.

It’s quite a unique, hard-to-pull-off design, yet her poise and confidence, plus the complementary Chanel gold accessories, help her master this look with relative ease.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear red carpet 21 october

Here is a quick rundown of some of the gentlemen who took to the red carpet yesterday (October 20) evening.

Ryan Reynolds: The actor joined his wife, Blake Lively, on the red carpet for the Angel Ball in New York City. Like Blake, he also wore Gucci, donning a Made to Order peak-lapel two-button Marseille tuxedo with a black evening shirt, navy silk bowtie and black leather lace-up shoes.

Eddie Redmayne: Making it a Gucci double, the British actor joined co-star Felicity Jones on the red carpet for ‘The Theory of Everything’ New York premiere decked out in a dark-blue Gucci Fall 2014 velvet ‘Dylan’ suit. We love the actor for his dabbling in colourful suits, but he looks just as good when he takes a walk on the dark side.

Felicity Jones In Elie Saab – ‘The Theory Of Everything’ New York Premiere

Felicity Jones In Elie Saab - 'The Theory Of Everything' New York Premiere

Felicity Jones attended ‘The Theory Of Everything’ New York Premiere held at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday (October 20) in New York City.

The actress looked very graceful wearing an Elie Saab Resort 2015 long-sleeved gown spliced with lace detailing styled with Ana Khouri black gold and white diamond Hematite earrings.

While I feel like the look is missing something – a statement ring; a rouge-coloured lip, perhaps – I’m still totally charmed by this effortless look.

Juno Temple In Monique Lhuillier – ‘Horns’ London Premiere

Juno Temple In Monique Lhuillier - 'Horns' London Premiere

Juno Temple took to the red carpet at the Odeon West End on Monday (October 20) in London, England for the premiere of her latest movie, ‘Horns’.

Sporting her signature wild curly mane, the actress wore a sleek Monique Lhuillier fully beaded top and long skirt styled with an Edie Parker clutch and Brian Atwood ‘Karin’ platform sandals.

The dazzling ensemble and styling couldn’t be more perfect, but I just wish she’d opted to do something a bit different with her hair.

A super-slick bun would’ve elevated this look for me.

Lucy Griffiths In House of Holland – ‘Last Summer’ Rome Film Festival Premiere

Lucy Griffiths attended the ‘Last Summer’ premiere during the 9th Rome Film Festival on Saturday (October 18) in Rome, Italy.

The British actress wore a House of Holland dark-green shantung suit with a white pleated collar from the Fall 2014 collection.

I’m not sure how the suit became so crushed, but for some strange reason it kinda works as it looks intended rather than scruffy – but I may be alone in that opinion.

Styled with a clear purple clutch and unteased tresses, I am missing the tulle-trimmed trouser detail we saw on the runway.

Rooney Mara In Balenciaga – ‘Trash’ Rome Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Rooney Mara In Balenciaga - 'Trash' Rome Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Rooney Mara served up a double dose of Balenciaga while promoting her new movie, ‘Trash’, during the 2014 Rome Film Festival in Rome, Italy on Saturday (October 18).

Photocall: For the photocall the actress selected a printed dress from the Spring 2014 collection, which kinda threw me for a loop on account of it being a sidestep out of her favoured black or white box. The sophisticated sleeveless cut-out design with a pretty flared skirt was styled with a pair of bland black pumps and a berry-hued lip.

Premiere: For the premiere it was back to black for Rooney, who wore a two-piece design from Balenciaga’s current Spring 2015 collection featuring an arm-restricting sheer crop top and a sheer textural skirt, with the black pumps perfectly complementary on this occasion, and the makeup kept simpler with cat-eyes and a nude lip.

While I have often moaned about Rooney’s non-committal attitude to colour, I have to say the look which works for her best is the all-black contemporary design.

Do you agree?
