Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Dane DeHaan and Harry Styles were out representing the male contingent at two recent premiere events.

Dane DeHaan: Joining a cadre of future-forward cool-girls at the ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ LA premiere on Monday (July 17), Dane donned a Prada Fall 2017 suit that was actually more ’70s than space-age with the retro-printed button-down shirt.

Harry Styles: For the New York City premiere of ‘Dunkirk’ on Tuesday (July 18), he trotted out the new Calvin Klein 205W39NYC Fall 2017 line, designed by Raf Simons. His suit was sharp to be sure, but the Harry flair came with his attention-grabbing cowboy styling. The red-accented, black western ankle boots hailed from the same Calvin Klein collection, and his rows of rings completed the western persuasion.

‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The LA premiere of ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ featured more starlets who put their space-age-style to work on the red carpet, joining sister act Cara Delevingne and Poppy Delevingne along with Kendall Jenner and Rihanna.

Skai Jackson: Like RiRi, Skai’s universe was one that was sugary and fluffy. But, this girly Marchesa Notte Resort 2018 ballet-pink frock was perfectly adorable and suitable for the young starlet.

Pauline Hoarau: Also in an Iris van Herpen masterwork like Cara, Pauline donned a technical marvel from the Spring 2017 Couture collection. I love the understated subtlety of the dress that quickly gave way to otherworldly intrigue with the tessellating pattern and sculptural dimensionality.

Kendall Jenner In Carmen March – ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA Premiere

Cara Delevingne not only had her family on hand to support her ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA premiere on Monday (July 17), but her model friends too.

Kendall Jenner made a sultry statement wearing a black mini Carmen March 2017 ruched dress.

Designed to hug the female form, I love how the open neckline breaths some attitude into the LBD.

It would have been impossible to upstage Cara at this event, so I’m glad Kendall is opt not to.

Poppy Delevingne In Zuhair Murad – ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA Premiere

Poppy Delevingne was on hand to support her sister Cara Delevingne for her ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA premiere on Monday (July 17).

You’d be right to conclude that I love this Zuhair Murad Pre-Fall 2017 jumpsuit, not only for the sparkles and slinky silhouette, but also for her effortless styling which included Jennifer Fisher earrings and a vintage Chanel vanity case bag.

Unforced glamour at its finest.

Rihanna In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA Premiere

Rihanna was on a completely different planet from Cara Delevingne at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA premiere on Monday (July 17)—if her look was any indication, that is.

Her style universe was one of bubblegum pink, cotton candy clouds, and frou, as she floated out this Giambattista Valli Couture custom high-low gown paired with custom Manolo Blahnik lace-up sandals for that distinct RiRi touch.

I always love it when Rihanna keeps us on our toes with unexpected turns such as this softer confection that oozed with girly, Victorian romance, dramatic tulle and chiffon layers, and whimsical pouf.

A matching Judith Leiber clutch and a light sprinkling of Chopard jewels completed the fantasy look with the appropriate amount of subtle restraint.

I’m sure some may be reminded of another sugar-sweet Giambattista Valli design she wore a couple of years ago.

Cara Delevingne In Iris van Herpen Couture – ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA Premiere

Cara Delevingne was in her own fashion universe at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA premiere on Monday (July 17).

Seeing this Iris van Herpen Fall 2017 Couture gown, I was immediately transported back to another cosmic-silver moment from the model-actress at the 2017 Met Gala.

However, this futuristic gown was in a galaxy all its own and certainly spared no expense on space-age seduction.

Previously having made the case for scalp painting, Cara now made a new case for faux finger waves to complete the galactic-glam statement.

Repossi jewels and Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals completed her look.
