‘The Mummy’ Sydney Photocall

Following Sydney premiere for ‘The Mummy’, Annabelle Wallis and Sofia Boutella attended the photocall on Tuesday (May 23), alongside their co-stars Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe.

Annabelle Wallis: The British actress turned heads in a colourful Alexander McQueen Spring 2017 dress. It was a bold choice with silver rings piecing together the part Fair Isle, part floral crochet elements. Keeping the dress in focus with simple sandals and loose, wavy hair was the right way to go. If this promo tour is anything to go by, Annabelle’s not just a talented actress, but also a fashion inspiration as well.

Sofia Boutella: The French-Algerian actress may be scary as the mummy in the film, but her outfit choice was anything but. She looked delightful in a sea-green Saloni Fall 2017 dress which was a change in direction from her usual fashion-forward choices. From the modest cut to the long length, this look that was sophisticated, yet feminine; topped off with gold heels and minimal accessories — because the embroidering on the dress makes a statement in itself.

Kirsten Dunst In Loewe – ‘The Beguiled’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Kirsten Dunst offered up a third summery look for ‘The Beguiled’ photocall during Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 24) alongside her co-stars Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning.

Her Loewe Spring 2017 dress is simple yet beautiful thanks to the injection of modern-boho sensibility through its broderie-anglaise cotton.

Much like Nicole, I wasn’t a fan of Kirsten’s footwear here, but they don’t detract from her gorgeous look overall.

Elle Fanning In Alexander McQueen – ‘The Beguiled’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Elle Fanning was back out on the red carpet for ‘The Beguiled’ photocall during Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 24).

I love the brilliance of the decade play imbued within this Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2017 tudor-style dress which is fully realised by the traditional leg of mutton sleeves and punctuated with knots for artisanal finish.

The Alexander McQueen floral platform shoes keeps the look grounded and youthful.

Elisabeth Moss In Jonathan Simkhai – ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Unlike Gwendoline Christie, Elisabeth Moss veered towards a more sombre mood while attending the ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ Cannes Film Festival photocall this afternoon (May 23).

While I do really like the bold hue of this Jonathan Simkhai purple dress and its silhouette enhancing quality, the overall look feels too mature for Elisabeth.

Her Oscar de la Renta look didn’t pay off, but I would still like to see her bring a sense of fun back to her red carpet tonight.

Gwendoline Christie In Fendi – ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Gwendoline Christie tends to stick to two designers: Giles (for obvious reasons) and Vivienne Westwood, so I was delighted to see her step outside her comfort zone for the ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ Cannes Film Festival photocall this afternoon (May 23).

The lightweight Fendi Spring 2017 printed design makes this piece ideal for a warm-weather event down by the French Riviera.

I love that she wore Fendi red and white wave heels from the Resort 2017 collection, as they’re not only fun and carefree, but they also heighten the summery feel.

Nicole Kidman In Versace – ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Officially Nicole Kidman arrived at Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, but fashion wise she arrived yesterday, and I was delighted to see the magic of Monday carry on to this afternoon (May 23) for the ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ photocall.

Oozing the kind of day time glamour I can fully get on board with on a Tuesday afternoon, the queen reigned supreme in Versace.

Possessing hints of sex appeal via the cold shoulder and sultry slit, this draped silhouette is filled with modern flair while exuding feminine charm.

Christian Louboutin ‘Harler’ pumps completed her look.

Isabelle Huppert In Gucci & Christian Dior Couture – ‘Happy End’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Flowy fashion statements have been Isabelle Huppert’s M.O. at the Cannes Film Festival, and that theme showed no sign of waning at the ‘Happy End’ photocall and premiere on Monday (May 22).

Photocall: I haven’t been impressed with Isabelle’s Cannes looks thus far, so this Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 gown was a welcome relief—not only for its vibrant print but also because it actually fit properly.

Premiere
: Unfortunately, this Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture gown reversed the upward trend, as it was rather ill-conceived in its washed-out colour along with the age-inappropriate sheer skirt and silver platform pumps.
