Catherine Zeta Jones In Cushnie et Ochs – Cocaine Godmother’ Cannes MIPCOM Photocall

On my list of people I absolutely adore (alongside Lucy Liu and Blake Lively) is Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The Welsh actress was in Cannes today (October 16) promoting her new movie, ‘Cocaine Godmother’ during MIPCOM.

Looking the picture of elegance, she wore a velvet Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2018 LBD featured a clean architectural silhouette with refined detailing which will always be part of Cushnie and Ochs’ DNA.

What I love most is how this dress is inherently contemporary, yet still feels instantly classic on Catherine.

Claire Foy In Isa Arfen – ‘Breathe’ London Film Festival Photocall

Claire Foy was in attendance at the ‘Breathe’ London Film Festival photocall on Wednesday (October 4), prior to the London Film Festival premiere.

Opting for sophisticated separates, ‘The Crown’ actress donned Isa Arfen Fall 2017 trousers. Their burgundy hue and coordinating belt provided a playful contrast against the pale blue blouse.

The white lining on the gathered waist of the pants might confuse some, but overall I found this look had a quiet charm to it.

Black Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps added to the colour play.

Penelope Cruz In Atelier Versace – ‘Loving Pablo’ San Sebastian Film Photocall

Penelope Cruz went ultra glam for the ‘Loving Pablo’ photocall during 65th San Sebastian Film Festival on Saturday (September 30) in Spain wearing Atelier Versace.

As you would expect from any Atelier Versace gown there were plenty of sultry elements, however, I have a feeling that some might object the slit and the bare shoulder; wishing for one or the other.

I would’ve preferred this look sans sleeve and an updo rather than the ponytail.

Liv Tyler In Elie Saab – ‘Gunpowder’ Preview Screening Photocall

Ever the beauty in black, Liv Tyler stuck with one of her favourite colours at the ‘Gunpowder’ Preview Screening Photocall on Tuesday (September 26) in London.

The actress wore an Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2017 jumpsuit. The sheer lace, flame-like cutouts broke up the all-black colour palette while adding a sultry reveal of skin.

It’s a shame that the pants weren’t a few inches shorter as they shorten the line of the leg.

A swipe of red on the lips and nails added some vibrancy to the tonal look.

Did you miss the belt?

Maria Dragus In Aquascutum & Escada & Christian Dior – ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ San Sebastian Film Festival Premiere

Maria Dragus turned heads day and night at the San Sebastian Film Festival. First, attending the ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ photocall on Monday (September 25). Later that day, the German-Romanian actress wowed at the film’s premiere.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Photocall: Opting for a dark colour palette, Maria wore a knee-length Escada skirt combined with a black Aquascutum jumper. The vivid tones of the whimsical appliqués were enhanced by the floral embroidery in the Christian Louboutin boots. I appreciate the way the shoes tied in the detail, but find their light colour distracts slightly from the rest of the look. The Dior bag and Jane Koenig earrings offered a more cohesive finish.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Premiere: Lighting up the red carpet, Maria donned a vivid Dior dress with lace overlay. The gown’s colour and lace fabric captivated, but it was the thin straps on the bodice that struck me. Black accessories, including Rene Caovilla shoes and a chain-strap Dior bag, contrasted the ruby dress.

Jared Leto In Gucci – Blade Runner 2049 Mexico Photocall

As Jared Leto has worn Gucci his last three times out this month, I was pretty certain the trend might continue at the recent ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Mexico photocall. And it did.

Florals again permeated his latest Gucci look, as he borrowed from the girls with this top that riffed on the PJs trend.

Given his tendency to go to sartorial extremes, I was a bit surprised he didn’t wear the floral pants, too, instead opting for red track pants.

Barring the neon-orange-accented sneakers, which were a bit clunky with the look, this was actually a more casually subdued offering from Jared—even if it could look as if he’s half-dressed for bed and for the gym.
