15.12.17 Premiere

Sarah Paulson In Calvin Klein – ‘The Post’ Washington, DC Premiere

Sarah Paulson is someone who enjoys making a bold statement on the red carpet. All eyes were likely on her at ‘The Post’ Washington, DC premiere on Thursday (December 14).

The actress donned a Calvin Klein dress which radiated from the soft marigold and royal blue fabric.

Dégradé gowns have been a fixture on the red carpet, but the ‘American Horror Story’ star’s frock had an elegant tie-dye effect from the blue being placed on particular areas to enhance the piece’s silhouette.

She added another colour into the joyful mix with the oxblood heels and clutch.

Diane Kruger In Jason Wu – Good Morning America

Diane Kruger stopped by the ‘Good Morning America’ studios in New York City on Wednesday (December 14).

I love the bright freshness of her mixed polka dot Jason Wu Spring 2018 asymmetrical, cutout dress.

Playing up the splice of red ribbon at the slit, she wore a red lip and handbag, also introducing a sunny marigold pair of pumps to the style equation.

With the black overcoat attempting to winterize the look, I’m not sure how much good it did. I was just wishing for the look to shine—and stand alone—in a slightly more spring-like atmosphere.

Laura Dern In Rodarte & Calvin Klein – SiriusXM & 38th Annual Muse Awards

As Laura Dern continues the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ promo circuit, she stopped by the SiriusXM studios in New York City on Wednesday (December 14) before attending the 38th Annual Muse Awards later that day.

SiriusXM: The signature edgy-girlishness of the Rodarte label was put to work in this Spring 2018 look. But, it was plenty well-suited to the current season for its darker mood that put a different twist on leather and lace—courtesy of ruffles and grommets. Naturally, the semi-sheer top and tall boots added a layer of sultry appeal that was also a more serious and straightforward way to style the look than its original runway presentation.

Muse Awards: I like how the sharper, geometric grosgrain bodice of this Calvin Klein Fall 2017 frock was juxtaposed with its more classic, ladylike fit-and-flared skirt for a new take on modern feminity.

Laura has not really impressed with her tour thus far, but I feel like she may be turning a corner into more successful sartorial territory with these latest looks that are an improvement. Would you agree?

Margot Robbie In Ganni – ‘I, Tonya’ New York Screening

As Margot Robbie continues to promote ‘I, Tonya,’ she attended the New York screening of the film on Wednesday (December 13)

She’s gone from ’70s glam to ’80s rock to ’90s grunge in the space of a week, and here she scratched all of those in favour of a loungewear-gone-glam vibe with this Ganni Spring 2018 dress and matching bag.

I can already hear the floral bathrobe comparison with this look—especially given those Aquazzura ‘Purr 105’ fur sandals.

But, I think she wears it well, further dramatizing the glamorous dressing-room effect with that cherry-red lip.

Dita Von Teese In Vintage John Galliano – Rimowa x Alexandre Arnault Pop-Up Event

Dita Von Teese went back to the archives for the Rimowa x Alexandre Arnault Pop-Up Event on Tuesday (December 12) in LA.

Not only was she wearing a vintage John Galliano Spring 1995 micro-check design, it happens to be a look she’s worn before.

But when the classic elegance is this high, can we really fault her?

Personally, I couldn’t have been happier about it.

The dress oozed with just as much sultry-sophisticated allure the second time out. I love how the cascading detail at the hip just portrays so much sweeping movement.

As before, she finished off the look with more drama in the opera gloves.

Yara Shahidi In Claudia Li – ‘Grown-ish’ LA Premiere

If you were worried that ‘Black-ish’ won’t the same when Zoey (Yara Shahidi) heads off to college, then have no fear as the spin-off, ‘Grown-ish’, will follow Zoey as she and begins her journey to adulthood.

The premiere took place in LA last night (December 14) with the lady of the hour hitting the red carpet in Claudia Li.

In her Spring 2018 jumpsuit the actress masters playful-chic style with midriff cut-out lending a sweetly feminine feel to the loose-fit.

I’d like to think she amped up the spirited feel with some clunky platforms.

MATEO earrings completed her look.
