Chris Pine In Ermenegildo Zegna – ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Sydney Photocall

"Star Trek Into Darkness" - Portraits

Karl Urban, Chris Pine, J. J. Abrams and Zachary Quinto attended the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ photocall in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday.

Karl Urban: On a gloriously beautiful day, I wish the New Zealander had opted for a lighter-coloured suit.

Chris Pine: In a sea of navy and grey, Chris stands out for me here in his blue notched-lapel two-button Ermenegildo Zegna suit, styled with a white dress shirt and blue silk pocket square. I’m thankful that he opted to wear tan shoes on this occasion.

J.J. Abrams: The director/producer sported a semi-casual look featuring jeans, a plaid shirt and grey blazer.

Zachary Quinto: On such a warm, sunny day, I’m not sure the actor really needed the sweater.

James Franco In Gucci - 'The Director' Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

James Franco attended the world premiere of his latest movie, ‘The Director’, during the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Monday evening.

You won’t be surprised to see the actor wearing a suit by his favourite designer, Frida Giannini for Gucci.

His blue striped peaked-lapel two-button suit was styled with a white dress shirt and silk navy tie.

The pants maybe needed to be an inch shorter, but this is a slick look nonetheless.

Matthew McConaughey In Vivienne Westwood MAN – ‘Mud’ New York Screening

Matthew McConaughey In Vivienne Westwood MAN - 'Mud' New York Screening

Matthew McConaughey attended a screening of his movie ‘Mud’ held at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City on Sunday.

The actor, who made a lot of changes to his physical appearance for this role, made a pretty drastic change to his red carpet look.

Known for wearing Dolce & Gabbana pretty exclusively during his career, the actor opted for a Vivienne Westwood MAN suit on this occasion.

Not just any suit: a navy-and-burgundy plaid suit featuring a notched-lapel blazer with an attached button-front vest and a logo-engraved-button-accented chain closure.

You may remember that Nick Cannon wore a similar-style suit recently.

I love this new look for Matthew. He has done the Italian sleek suit for so long that I appreciate him adding some British eccentricity to his red carpet look.

Do you?

Sienna Miller & Tom Sturridge In Burberry – ‘Orphans’ Broadway Opening Night

Sienna Miller & Tom Sturridge In Burberry - ‘Orphans’ Broadway Opening Night

Last night in New York City, Sienna Miller supported her beau Tom Sturridge at the opening night of the new play ‘Orphans’ on Broadway, in which Tom stars alongside Alec Baldwin and Ben Foster.
It was a double dose of Cool Britannia, as the couple both wore Burberry.

Sienna Miller: The actress wore a classic Burberry trench coat for her red carpet look, which she styled with a Burberry Prorsum ‘The Little Crush’ clutch. The ponyskin-and-leather drawstring clutch featuring hearts and a gold padlock, which was presented during the Fall 2013 collection, adds a cheeky touch to her classic look. Black leather booties, a hot-red lip colour and perfectly teased tresses rounded out her look.

Tom Sturridge: This is the first time I have ever seen Tom in a suit, and a perfectly fitted suit it is too. His dark-grey Burberry Tailoring suit was styled with a white dress shirt and burgundy textured tie. Just to prove he hasn’t gone soft, he styled his look with a pork-pie hat and scuffed shoes.

Menswear Red Carpet Round Up

Menswear Red Carpet Round Up

Here is a roundup of some of the menswear which has taken to the red carpet this week.

Zachary Levi: The actor joined his co-star Alexis Bledel on the red carpet for the ‘Remember Sunday’ Disney premiere looking very smart in a grey Vivienne Westwood Man Spring 2013 suit. Usually there is some kind of quirk that comes with a Westwood suit, but this is a surprisingly strait-laced look so I appreciate Zachary’s decision to add a bright-yellow tie. Where most dudes would’ve added black shoes to a light-grey suit – see Chris Pine – Zac opted for a taupe pair with blue laces. Definitely a front runner in the best-dressed department.

Zac Efron: The actor joined co-star Heather Graham on the red carpet for the New York screening of ‘Any Price’ last night wearing a classic charcoal suit by Balenciaga. His two-button notched-lapel suit was styled with a striped tie, white pocket square and Bally ‘Gosbel’ shoes.

Josh Duhamel: Opting for a casual red carpet look, Josh attended the US launch of ‘Planet Ocean’ presented by Omega watches last night. With spring in the air, he also joined the current trend of wearing a light-coloured suit. Keeping things interesting, he styled his sand suit with a blue-and-white shirt. Sporting the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GoodPlanet timepiece, the actor also opted for taupe-coloured shoes.

Usher: The singer took to the stage to perform at the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction in LA on Thursday evening. Usher’s contemporary twist on a classic menswear look saw him don a simple white shirt accented with a red bow tie which matched his crystal-accented red loafers. Adding yet more sparkle to his performance look, his black pants featured diamante detailing, with a cool Balenciaga leather jacket rounding things off.

CinemaCon 2013 Awards Menswear Round Up

CinemaCon 2013 Awards Menswear Round Up

Many guys joined Elizabeth Banks on the red carpet for the CinemaCon 2013 Awards Ceremony, with grey being the order of the day.

Chris Pine: The actor opted for a dark-grey double-breasted Louis Vuitton suit with a striped shirt and a blue micro-dot tie which made his blue eyes pop. We don’t see many double-breasted suits on the red carpet, so this is a rare treat which is worn so well by the actor.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt: Going for the light-coloured-suit-and-dark-shoes combo, the actor picked up the ‘Breakthrough Film Maker of the Year Award’ looking very dapper and deservedly smug. His Prada grey glendale plaid two button suit, was styled with a white dress shirt and burgundy silk dot tie.

Morgan Freeman: Following suit, the ‘Conviction’ actor styled his light-grey suit with a black shirt to match his patent-leather shoes. Even though he is wearing shades indoors, he still looks so cool.

Armie Hammer: Appearing not to have received the grey suit memo, the actor stood apart from the rest, collecting his ‘Male Star of Tomorrow Award’ wearing a petrol-blue Tom Ford suit with a blue-and-white gingham shirt and copper tie. Despite the fact that we are deep into spring, these autumnal colours work well on the handsome actor.
