Red Carpet Fashion Awards

In 1991 Helena Christensen was rolling around on a beach with Chris Isaak as he sung “Wicked Game” and time has apparently stood still for the Danish supermodel.

She looked stunning as she arrived on the red carpet for the “2010 Tribeca Ball” in New York last night wearing a Miu Miu puff sleeve black mini dress.

I love this cute modern version of the classic LBD.

With legs like Helena’s she afford to wear this mini with a draped tulip skirt.

Being the sex kitten that she is, we can see her bra peek-a-booing via the plunge in the dress.

Black accessories are shunned in favour of a stone coloured clutch and gold heels.

Gorgeous as always.

Selena Gomez continues to promote her debut album “Kiss and Tell” in Europe.

Her current stop is in Madrid where she appeared on the Spanish TV show “El Hormiguero” yesterday.

The 17 year old Disney actress was having a lot of fun on the show joining with the practical jokes with the presenter.

She is pictured above getting into the groove wearing an Alice + Olivia strapless dress.

The strapless silk dress has a sequined bodice and a pleated cummerbund from which the skirt drapes.

Selena seems to have fallen in love with Alice + Olivia dresses, as this is the second one she has worn on this European tour.

Alice + Olivia is all about being young, cute and fun, so Selena would be the perfect brand ambassador.

Matching pumps are paired with the look.

I’m in love with her hair. I wish I could get that kind of constant volume in my hair.

Last week Rihanna was spotted leaving Ago Restaurant in Beverly Hills.

The singer wore a very eclectic look which consisted of the cutest pair of floral shorts I have ever seen.

The Opening Ceremony shorts were paired with a white top with fringed sleeves and Alexander Wang Isabeli haircalf pointed mules.

The look was completed with a Lanvin straw hat, enormously large hooped earrings and a gold Eddie Borgo fringed cuff.

I like the hat, but by trying to make it cool by tilting it to the side she slightly puts me off it.

Apart from the hat I’ve gotta admit I love this look, despite the try hard nature of it.

What do you think?

Spring fresh or try hard?

Michelle Obama currently has many favoured designers and it looks like L’Wren Scott is on that list.

Yesterday Mrs O attended a town-hall meeting about childhood obesity at the White House wearing a mix of high-end and lower end pieces.

The First Lady wore a white L’Wren Scott lace embroidered cardigan over a Talbots silk floral blouse.

The rest of her look included a printed full skirt and grey patent flats.

Nice to see the First Lady already breaking out her Spring closet.

Olivia Palermo attended the “Paper Man” New York screening this week.

She wore a perfectly well-groomed ensemble for a spring evening in New York City. She didn’t over dress, nor over accesorize.

Her look included a white chiffon blouse with a white satin Topshop skirt.

Her Topshop black patent shoes work with this look, so I don’t hate them on this occasion.

Her accessories were a mix of high-end and high-street.

She wore a black multi-row, multi-beaded Freedom for Topshop necklace which is available from Topshop and Topshop US.

Her look was complete with an Alexa Mulberry clutch.
