Giorgio Armani vs. ASOS

Roberta Armani wore this beautiful Giorgio Armani Fall 2009 gold and black velvet dress to the “Viola Di Mare” Premiere during Rome Film Festival last year.

It’s a stunning two-tone strapless dress which looked amazing on the red carpet.

ASOS have recently added a very similar dress to their virtual sleeves.

In order not to be a accused of copying the Armani look, ASOS dress is made from satin plus it has an extra zig-zag on the skirt.

I will never stop being surprised at how this happens on a regular basis.

The Giorgio Armani dress no doubt cost thousands, but the ASOS version is available from ASOS US for $93.48, and ASOS.com for £55.

Louis Vuitton vs. Topshop

Apart from the ‘Can can’ heels, the other stand out piece from the Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2009 presentation were the ‘Daisy’ necklaces which came in eye-catching pink, gold and black.

Inspired by paper chains the ‘Daisy’ necklace is a playful yet elegant fashion statement.

The chain with 23 links retails at £655 / $1,050 plus is also features padlock with a Louis Vuitton engraved golden metallic plate.

On Topshop.com I spotted their Loop Link Necklace in gold plating loop.

Their Freedom necklace cost a mere £18 from Topshop UK, and $45 from the Topshop US site.

Last year a pre-blonde Rihanna wore the Louis Vuitton Daisy necklace in silver to the “3rd Annual DKMS Gala” in New York City, whilst Gwen Stefani was spotted on photoshoot back in April for Elle US wearing the necklace in gold.

The necklace never made the July 2009 cover though.

Giuseppe Zanotti vs. Topshop

If you’re UK 8 (US11) like me you’re not even bothering to look for shoes in the sale because they either don’t have our size or they are dead ugly, so you’re already looking towards Spring 2010.

I was browsing Topshop.com recently and came across a pair of two tone sandals which reminded me of a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti two tone sandals I had been cruising last summer.

Apart from the obvious colour combination, they are both patent, both have cut out details, an easy-off back zipper and a high heel.

These Giuseppe Zanotti heels would have set you back $650, but on the Topshop UK website they’re only £60 and Topshop US sell them for $125.

I can’t wait for mine arrive.

Givenchy vs Aldo

We saw these studded killer heels during Givenchy’s Fall 2009 presentation, and now Aldo have created their own studded spin off.

Both pairs are similar with the same zip design and stud detail.

The Aldo Guerrette studded peep-toes are a fabulous High Street version of the Givenchy shoe and the only real difference is the lack of studs on the heel.

The Givenchy studded heel is still available to purchase, but only in black from Luisa via Roma.

Antonio Berardi vs. Aqua Couture At ASOS

Antonio Berardi is famed for dressing some of the sexiest women in the world.

His Fall 2009 collection was full of sculptural black, white and grey pieces including this stunning drop-waist one-shoulder dress with a bubble hem skirt.

Whilst browsing on ASOS, I discovered a very similar dress by Aqua Couture which only differed with a puffy sleeved detail.

The skirt, the two-tone colours and the bodice are all exactly the same.

The Berardi dress would set you back a few bob, but the Aqua Couture dress on ASOS US and ASOS.com won’t break the bank.

We’ve already seen Megan Fox wearing the real Berardi dress recently, when she presented an award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
