Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Recently Emma Roberts hasn’t been able to leave home without her LBB.

Her little black bag.

On Sunday the ‘Scream 4’ actress was spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, California, carrying her 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘Pashli’ mini satchel.

This follows recent sightings of the star carrying the Celine ‘Nano’ tote which is the smaller version of the ‘Boston’ bag.

Both bags may seem too small for everyday use, but you’d be surprised that they can both carry quite a lot. The Lim bag even has two front zippers which help expand the bag if need be.

I love the crossbody style as it makes it really comfortable and easy to carry, especially if you are a text, tweet or iPad junkie like me and you need both hands free.

The ‘Nano’ pretty much sells out the second they land in stores, but the 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘Pashli’ mini satchel is available from farfetch.com or Liberty London.

Rihanna may be one of fashion’s wild childs, but lately it seems she can’t get enough of Stella McCartney’s sophisticated designs which mostly come from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

The recent run started back in March for the then-blonde singer. She was spotted wearing a Pre-Fall 2012 ensemble consisting of a grey lace blouse with matching pants whilst promoting her new movie, ‘Battleship’ in London.

Continuing her ‘Battleship’ press duties, Rihanna chose a Stella McCartney Evening 2012 look for her appearance at the BBC Radio 1 studios. Choosing to go bare under a multi-coloured marble-print silk jacket dress with black satin lapels, RiRi found a way to put her signature edge on the look.

It was a complete 180, however, at the ‘Battleship’ Sydney premiere, held in early April, as a newly raven-haired Rihanna donned a Pre-Fall 2012 jumpsuit. Pairing the sleek one-piece with Manolo Blanhik sandals (for a third time), Rihanna gave us pure Stella McCartney minimalism at its finest, resulting in one of her best overall looks from the film’s promo tour to date.

Honoured as one of Time Magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People’ of 2012, Rihanna also had the privilege of singing at the Time 100 Gala, held in New York City last week where she wore Stella again for her big performance.

Her Pre-Fall 2012 jacquard ensemble, featuring a gold strapless top accented with a red-and-black top paired with silver pants, was not RiRi’s best look, but we admire her for not playing it safe.

While I’m all for this new obsession, it seems to work best when Rihanna sticks to the sleek, tailored looks that Stella does so well.

Last week we saw how much Sarah Jessica Parker loves her Current/Elliott jeans; this week it’s all about her Theyskens’ Theory ‘Jotor’ leather biker jacket.

We first got a look at this jacket when SJP attended the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2012 Fashion Week, where she set her own rules by teaming it with a pink Oscar de la Renta gown.

Since then SJP has worn this jacket whilst taking her kids to school wearing jeans, slouchy tees and sneakers or boots.

I much prefer her working this urban-cool jacket in this way.

You can buy SJP’s heyskens’ Theory jacket from farfetch.com and Matches Fashion.

When it comes to the school run, Sarah Jessica Parker goes for comfort pairing jeans with a simple top or jacket.

She has been spotted taking James Wilke Broderick to school in New York City wearing Current/Elliott’s ‘The Beatnik’ jeans on several occasions.

The blue washed cropped ‘Beatnik’ jean features a rolled up hem, whiskered thighs, five pockets and button up fastening.

Whilst her jeans are the same, her choice of bag is always different.

From the right we have a Jerome Dreyfuss ‘Momo’ bag, a Chanel bag and a Valentino ‘Rock Lock’ bag.

You can buy SJP’s Current/Elliott ‘The Beatnik’ jeans from Shopbop.com, Selfridges and farfetch.com.

On her last red-carpet outing, Elizabeth Olsen carried a bag from The Row which totally ruined her look.

When it comes to street style she made a more appropriate choice by carrying the Chloe ‘Angie’ tote which she loves to sport whilst off duty.

Elizabeth has been inseparable from her tote and I can see why.

The luxe leather dark-brown ‘Angie’ tote with a clean shape and gold hardware makes it an instant classic.

Jessica Alba and fashion blogger Tala from My Fash Diary are also fans of this tote.

You can buy Elizabeth’s Chloé ‘Angie’ tote from Net-A-Porter.com,
or in salmon-pink and chestnut from farfetch.com.
