Of all the celebrity obsessions Lucy Liu has the most serious addition to her Jimmy Choo ‘Idol’ platform heels.

Who can blame her as they’re exquisite. The nude Jimmy Choo platforms heels have a crossover strap with buckle fastening, cut out sections on the front, a peep toe and a contrasting black panel on the heel.

We first spotted Lucy wearing them back in November to the Alberta Ferretti LA store opening party, and again just recently when she attended the Swarovski Crystallized Concept Store Opening last month.

The thing about her heels is they give the actress the added height she wants plus – as you can see – they complement many colours from red to to pink to black to blue.

Net-A-Porter.com discount sister store Outnet.com are currently selling these heels at a 50% discount from £440 to £220.

Katy Perry loves high street clothes. We’ve seen her many times wearing Topshop and H&M often mixed with more expensive pieces.

She was one of the first celebrities to wear a stunning peacock dress from the Spring 2009 Matthew Williamson for H&M collection, when she attended Paper magazine’s “The Beautiful People” party in New York. This was not the only piece she purchased from this collection.

Since then she has been spotted wearing the olive cropped leather jacket, and this week she was spotted in London wearing an olive satin jumpsuit with a drawstring waist and embroidered details from the same collection.

She follows Nicky Hilton who has also been seen wearing many pieces from this collection.

When Audrina Patridge carried an Alexander McQueen dove grey clutch to the MTV Movie Awards last night, it ended her run of carrying her black patent Alexander McQueen ‘Squeeze It’ bow clutch, to every red carpet event.

The clutch has served her well, from the 2009 Grammy Awards back in February, to the Maxim’s 10th Annual Hot 100 Celebration a fortnight ago.

Apart from her yellow 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt, the clutch has mostly been worn with darker colours. This black clutch wouldn’t have worked so well with the sparking bronze mini, and cream Louboutin’s she wore to the MTV Movie Awards.

The patent leather bag, has a gold snap closure, and is large enough to carry the blackberry, purse, lipstick, compact essentials.

The clutch is available in an array of colours, including this black clutch with a smoke print detail, which is available from the Net-A-Porter’s US site for $1,180, or the International site £538/€645.

Audrina’s version is available from Alexander McQueen website on sale from $1,020 to $614.

We’ve seen this type of pattern before, when it comes to Katie Holmes.

First she was obsessed with her Chloe Paraty Python Tote, then she couldn’t leave home without her Roger Vivier Mikado Flat Bag, now her first love is her white Valextra slim shopping bag.

Katie doesn’t seem to follow trends, if I see her wearing Balmain, I’ll fall off my chair. Instead she picks classic, understated pieces, that don’t shriek attention.

That’s very much the case with her luxurious white leather Valextra shopper, which is available for $2,500 from Barney’s, and also from Harrods in London.

Last year, the utterly sexy IT shoe was the YSL Tribute Platform T-Strap Sandal.

Julianne Moore was the first celebrity to wear them back in January 2008, then every celebrity from Eva Longoria, to the Kardashian sisters, seemed to snap them up in every colour.

Everyone then moved onto the YSL Trib Two heels. All except Olivia Palermo.

I have a pair of beige, blue and coral striped Marc Jacobs heels, which I had for 5 years, known as my “summer heels”. Last week one of them snapped, and I still haven’t had the courage to throw them away, so I understand how you can be attached to one pair of heels.

Since April 29, Olivia has attended 6 events, wearing pretty florals, pastels colours, paisley prints, LBDs, a sequined jacket, and a black tuxedo jacket, but the heels have remained the same.

She obviously really loves the heels, but I remember a time when celebs wouldn’t be caught dead wearing the same thing twice. With the credit crunch hanging over all of us, it appears celebs want to show us they’re ordinary, just like us.

I’m ordinary, my friends and family are ordinary. I look to people like Olivia to give us something new, especially someone with her style and taste. I hope she switches things up soon.

Ginnifer Goodwin was the first celebrity to wear Matthew Williamson for H&M, but Nicky Hilton really loves the collection, as she owns many pieces.

She started off with the peacock dress, which was first worn by Katy Perry, then she was spotted walking in a park, wearing the fuchsia pink cardigan with a beaded peacock feather on the shoulder.

H&M must be loving the exposure she’s giving the brand, because she attended the Alberta Ferretti LA luncheon, wearing a bohemian Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti Aztec paisley dress, with an olive green Matthew Williamson for H&M cropped leather jacket.

Maybe she has the whole collection, because she was most recently spotted wearing the leather studded waistcoat, as worn by Mischa Barton at launch of the first collection.

The second collection goes on sale today, and I can guess which celebrity will be first in the queue.

Matthew Williamson’s first ever menswear collection, also goes on sale today.

If you watched the Paris Hilton’s search for a best friend reality TV show, you would have seen her massive walk-in closet.

It was full of many bags, shoes, clothes and accessories. But no matter how much Paris has, she always relies on her favourite clutch for most of her red carpet appearances.

That clutch is her Christian Louboutin Maykimay clutch.

Since she first stepped onto the red carpet with the Louboutin clutch for the Golden Globe Awards InStyle/Warner Bros After Party, wearing an electric blue Zuhair Murad Couture gown, she has rarely left home without it. She even carried it to the Bravo A List Awards over the weekend.

The crystal covered clutch has an embellished pump with signature red sole as pull tab, and a red lining.

You can purchase this clutch from Luis via Roma for €1,743.
