Both on and off the red carpet, celebrities like Zoe Saldana, Ciara, Elizabeth Olsen and Rihanna have been spotted wearing this sleek and sophisticated look.

The trend was big on the Fall 2011 runway at The Row, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Zero + Maria Cornejo.

Pair your leather sleeves with simple jeans like Zoe did in her Roland Mouret jacket or toughen the look up in head-to-toe black like Rihanna in Givenchy.

Elizabeth Olsen dressed up her Helmut Lang number with a Preen skirt and heels.
