Celebrities Love…Leather Jogging Pants

Leather Jogging Pants Trend

Thanks to the Kanye West/Jimmy Kimmel feud, leather jogging pants have been in the press a lot lately.

Kanye, aka Yezzy, aka genius, aka god, claims he invented leather jogging pants when he took the idea to Fendi six years ago, which they apparently rejected; since then, however, they have appeared on the runways of Fendi, Alexander Wang, Herve Leger by Max Azria, Isabel Marant, Michael Kors and many more.

The leather jogging pant may sound impractical, as pointed out by Jimmy Kimmel, but no one is using these pants for physical activities.

They are seen more as a sporty and comfortable alternative from jeans or leggings, and often come in the form of a hybrid of sweatpants and harem pants.

With its slouchy, relaxed fit and tapered leg they can be dressed up with a sexy pair of heels or booties, or dressed down with sneakers.

Celebs such as Rihanna, Rita Ora, Cheryl Cole, Kelly Rowland, Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys, Selena Gomez, Kanye himself, plus many of the trendiest ladies from the fashion pack, including Christine Centenera and Joanna Hillman, have been spotted wearing them.

Yay or nay on Kanye’s invention of the leather jogging pants?

Celebrities Love…Plaid

Celebrities Love Plaid

No longer the symbol of an insipid school uniform or an uninspired flannel, plaid is again the cool kid on the block with celebrities everywhere staying in check with a hip-to-be-square style mentality.

The traditional red checkered pattern has been the leader of the resurgence, although some stars have stepped outside the box in favour of another colour combo.

Included among the tartan trendsters is Ciara, who was hipster-cool with a sporty red dress, tied up with a plaid shirt around her waist and custom knee-high, red Givenchy boots.

Kat Graham explored the cocktail side of the squared look with her sizzling Dolce & Gabbana frock. But it was Rita Ora who increasingly amped up the punk-funk appeal in a Karl Lagerfeld jacket-and-trousers ensemble, accessorized with even more quirk in a backwards baseball cap and statement shades and shoes.

Meanwhile, Maria Menounos took a tamer, more classic approach in a Zara navy mini-dress with zipper detail. The high-street frock was also worn by Olivia Palermo during Spring 2014 Paris Fashion Week.

And, Julianne Hough gave us a grungy-cool, street-style look with her Maje shirt, worn over a T-shirt and black skinny jeans.

Celebrities Love…Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ Pumps

Christian Louboutin So Kate Pumps

There is power in the pump. This quintessential heel has the potential to be strong—or completely sole-less. In the case of shoe titan, Christian Louboutin, his captivating ‘So Kate’ pumps certainly fall under the former category.

The sleek, sky-high style walks the line between irrefutably classy and undeniably sexy, with stiletto aficionados snapping up more than a pair or two in a surplus of shades.

One of the first to strut out the ‘So Kate’ back in April, Gwyneth Paltrow complemented her fashion-forward black ensemble with a shiny metallic variety, whilst Kristen Stewart added even more sultriness to her sheer lace number with a dark burgundy hue.

Perking up her plunging white cocktail frock, Mila Kunis wore a statement-making python pair. And, even though Elizabeth Banks let her nude version take more of a back seat with her red cropped ensemble, the riveting heels were still very much present and accounted for.

Do the simple, yet seductive, ‘So Kate’ pumps have you under their spell?

Celebrities Love…Givenchy Bambi Sweaters

Celebrities Love Givenchy Bambi Sweaters

Cute and completely edgy: Such is the character of Givenchy’s Bambi-and-female-form print sweater that has created a veritable Disney land among the fashion world keen to channel a more daring version of the beloved deer.

A less ferocious incarnation of Givenchy’s onetime ubiquitous Rottweiler shirt from Fall 2011, the animated, Bambi motif jumper is also now pervading the modish masses.

The dark, lacy interpretation of the Disney icon was first trotted out by style plate Carine Roitfeld at this year’s punkish Met Gala, followed by a recent return appearance during Spring 2014 New York Fashion Week.

Songstress Monica took the sweater out for a more casual spin with her young son. Playing the cool mom, she paired it with a denim shirt wrapped round her waist along with leather leggings and an intense pair of Christian Louboutin’s leopard-print spiked sneakers.

Actress Lily Collins and editrix Anna Dello Russo both clad themselves in the cartoon for the Givenchy show during Spring 2014 Paris Fashion Week, each also taking the versatile piece from sweater to a leggier sweater-dress.

The Fashion Pack Love…Valentino T-Bar Pumps

The Fashion Pack Love Valentino T-Bar Pumps

Platforms, peep-toes and stilettos, stand aside. The new sole obsession on the scene is suiting the style pack to a T.

Fashionable femmes everywhere have been taking Valentino’s Fall 2013 T-bar pumps out for a spin, showing off the playful patent leather and white velvet paneled shoes.

Clicking their heels to the tune of Valentino are the likes of an edgy-chic Miroslava Duma, Net-A-Porter’s Natalie Massenet in monochrome, and eccentric editrix Anna Dello Russo displaying her inner flower child.  They, among others, have all trotted out their unique interpretation of the attitude-packing pumps.

Flaunting the right dash of sassy schoolgirl charm, a splash of vintage sassiness, and just a hint of sex appeal, these T-bars are raising the trendsetting bar. No wonder the fashion set is falling for them.

Miroslava Duma Loves Her…Charlotte Olympia ‘Time Piece’ Clutch

Miroslava Duma Loves Her Charlotte Olympia 'Time Piece' Clutch

While in Paris, Miroslava Duma’s front-row companion has been her Charlotte Olympia ‘Timepiece’ clutch bag, as previously worn by Diane Kruger.

I love how the quirky bag adds a chic yet offbeat touch to each of her looks, whether it’s standing out against a bright-yellow ensemble, complementing her white Valentino ensemble or blending well with a houndstooth coat or leather coat.

This perspex box clutch, which features a clock face and gold-tone gear latch that will truly stand the test of time, is accented with a gold-chain shoulder strap.
