Celebrities Love…Isabel Marant Dicker Suede Ankle Boots

Isabel Marant ‘Dicker’ ankle booties have been worn by a bevy of beauties—we’re talking Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hilary Rhoda, Kate Bosworth and Katie Holmes.

These boots have been a complete hit because they are one part chic and one part edgy.

The suede shoes have become one of the must-have items of casual footwear for fall. But the great thing about them is that they can also be worn during the spring and summer with cutoff shorts like Katie, or a floral dress like Hilary.

The coveted Isabel Marant booties will set you back $615. That is if you can still find them in stores because most of the shops are sold out.

Fortunately, a similar and cheaper version by Steve Madden was created.

The ‘Pembrook’ booties cost only $129.

However, you may notice that the wallet-friendly design has a less pointy toe and lacks the chunky heels as well, which is what gives them that tough-chick vibe.

Celebrities Love…Charlotte Olympia ‘Kitty’ Flats

Smoking flats à la Hugh Hefner are making their mark as the flats to wear this fall. However, there’s one particular pair that has caught the attention of some of the most fashionable ladies. Enter the Charlotte Olympia ‘Kitty’ Flats.

Katy Perry, Alexa Chung and Sarah Jessica Parker have all been spotted wearing these adorable feline flats recently. While we would expect quirky Alexa and Katy to sport them, it came as a bit of a surprise to see SJP wearing them, too.

The black velvet pair has a gold heel, which I think would look great with a pair of skinny jeans. Although I wouldn’t have thought to wear these during the nighttime, Alexa’s red-hot Valentino dress actually looks quite nicely teamed with the shoes.

If you want to step into the wild side a little further, these kitty shoes also come in a leopard print.

However, we prefer the black versions; which do you prefer?

Celebrities Love…Tweed

As we move deeper into fall, celebs are falling in love with a classic winter staple, tweed.

Tweed isn’t just for business suits or stuffy office attire.

Both on the red carpet and whilst off duty, celebs are using tweed as part of their winter look as it ensures warmth, and the textures allow for all sorts of interesting silhouettes.

If you’re thinking tweed is old fashioned, then mix tweed with leather for a modern edge, or add statement accessories for the same modernizing effect.

You can keep the look simple like Freida Pinto. Colourful tweed fabrics are great adding some pizzazz to your look like Hailee Steinfeld and Jennifer Hudson, or you can go classic black and add funky wedges like Kate Bosworth.

If you’re still not a fan of wearing tweed, then take on the trend via chic accessories such at the Valentino bow front heels or an Alexander McQueen clutch.

Hollywood Brings Back The Beret

Granted, we saw a few different variations of the beret on the Fall 2011 runways—worn traditionally at Sophie Theallet, worn on the forehead at Vena Cava, worn with a chinstrap at Marc Jacobs—but we didn’t expect the trend to spread through Hollywood like wildfire.

We love it when we’re pleasantly surprised.

And it’s not the beret in general, it’s this beret in specific, as Tika Sumpter, Hilary Duff, Katy Perry, Kourtney Kardashian, and Rachel Zoe have all been recently spotted sporting the ultra chic Evelyn Beret by Eugenia Kim.

Available in four colors—charcoal, gray, taupe, cream—this hand-knitted baby alpaca leopard-print beret is perfect for masking a bad hair day, or keeping the brisk wind at bay.

We’re partial to the taupe—and you?

Celebrities Love….Fall Coats

If you’re like me, you will still have the same boots and those £19.99 Zara turtlenecks in several colours from last year that will still see you through this winter.

If so, a new coat is the easiest way to revive your winter wardrobe this season.

The perfect coat can be the great finishing touch to any look.

This season, why not try a quirky cape? Add a stand-out colour to your closet like Alison Brie’s Kate Spade ‘Carlyle Patrice’ raspberry coat or Rihanna’s Acne ‘Siri’ mustard coat.

Go long like Gwen Stefani who recently wore this A.L.C. hooded duffle coat or invest in a classic coat like Pixie Geldorf which should stand you in good stead for a few seasons.

What style are you going to be cosying up to, to avoid the winter freeze?

Celebrities Love…Thigh-High Boots

It’s that time of year when we are all stocking up on our winter staples which will get us through the next five months.

High on that list are boots.

Every year I want to invest in a pair of thigh-high boots, or hooker boots as my sister calls them, but I always chicken out.

There are two ways to wear these boots.

For the less overtly sexy route, we need to follow Kourtney Kardashian and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Kourtney’s look may have a lot going on, but she opted for low-heeled thigh-high Chanel boots whilst Rosie wore less shiny, slouchy suede boots.

The overtly sexy route was demonstrated by Ciara as she left ‘Dan Tanas’ restaurant in LA last night.

Leather thigh-high Louboutin boots + Givenchy tunic + lots of skin on display = tacky.

How will you wear yours?
