Celebrities Love…The Balmain ‘Pierre’ Bag

Meet ‘Pierre’—the plus-one that’s on the arm of all the fashion femmes.

The debut handbag from the house of Balmain, this classy companion is the result of a collaboration between Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing and French jeweler Aurélie Bidermann.

And what an entrance the timeless yet trendy ‘Pierre’ has made, what with its lush suede—in Anthracite Grey, Camel and Cherry colours—its roomy interior, and the edgy faux-ivory tooth that coolly hangs from the handle.

Initially spotted in the stylish hands of Kate Moss, the purse received a few extra perks with her custom monogram and furry Fendi keychain that added some fluff to the front.

Unsurprisingly, Gwen Stefani gravitated towards the crimson version—it’s the perfect match to her poppy-red pout and her rocker-chic standard.

Proving the ‘Pierre’ is literally a model accessory, the bag has also been seen with runway royalty like Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington Whiteley, who made the sidewalk her catwalk when she strutted out the camel carryall. Model-cum-actress and fashion-girl Diane Kruger is obviously also a fan, going for the sophisticated shade of grey.

Overalls: Just call them the comeback kid. This blast-from-the-past may not conjure visions of sartorial splendor. But, like it or not, the denim dungarees are staking another claim on the fashion farm.

Designers like 3.1 Phillip Lim and Isabel Marant, even MM6 Maison Martin Margiela, have recently elevated the lowly one-piece, taking it from fashion outcast to front-row status, with their own unique interpretations.

No longer a relic of the wonky, rebellious 90s, this riff on rural workwear has once again traipsed into the street-style vocabulary—and the closets—of some of today’s hottest starlets.

Keira Knightley recently indulged her inner tomboy in a cool and comfortable look featuring ” target=”_blank”>Citizens of Humanity’s ‘Quincy’ rolled-up overalls and sneakers, worn with the ultimate contradiction—a Chanel quilted, cross-body bag.

Also going for a low-key and luxe mix, Alexa Chung strapped on a simple black denim pair over a plain white tee, to which she added ballet flats and a Louis Vuitton carryall.

Naturally, Selena Gomez served up a sexy edge with her baggy coveralls, flaunting them over a lace bra. With the pants haphazardly rolled at the bottom and accessorized with a gigantic, nubby scarf and an unzipped black tote, this look gave new meaning to sloppy-chic with its trendster appeal.

Celebrities Love…Chanel Lego Clutches

Karl Lagerfeld knows what the fashion kids want, and the designer took us to an ultra-luxe Lego-land with the Chanel logo ‘Lego’ clutch.

The pint-sized Perspex purse debuted on Chanel’s Spring 2013 runway. Now the playful charmer, with its Crayola colours, has become an ‘it’ bag, punching up celeb looks at every turn. After all, the quirky, nostalgic logo clutches may be all fun and games, but they still wield the power of those interlocking double-Cs splashed across the side.

Up-and-coming starlet Hailee Steinfeld showed her style cred by clutching a lemon-drop yellow version at the Chanel Spring 2013 Couture show in Paris earlier this year. Also carrying off that sunny shade, DJ Leigh Lezark used the geometric bag to brighten her block-star dress at the Chanel Tribeca Film Festival Artists Dinner last week.

Taking her monochromatic ensemble to the next level, Diane Kruger recently went for a brick-red variation, worn with the iconic chain-link purse strap. And, just two nights ago, British songstress Rita Ora matched her hot-red lippie to her logo bag, which she crossed over a see-through trench. She completed the white-haute look with embellished, thigh-high Chanel Spring 2013 boots.

Other lovelies who won’t ‘lego’ of this logo clutch? British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; ‘Vogue Japan’ editrix Anna Dello Russo; and French actress Elodie Bouchez.

Celebrities Love…Number Tees

No longer relegated to the football field, the jersey shirt has moved from the stadium to the style arena. The newest number crunchers on the scene include a group of bold beauties, who are playing their own fashion game with the number tee.

British TV presenter Caroline Flack took her red ’73′ Topshop version on vacation, using an oversized variation as a beach coverup.

Singer Brandy wore a different spin on the athletic Topshop shirt, parading out her double digits as a minidress and adding a pop edge with finger gloves, shoe boots and a blunt fringe bang.

Counting on a lucky 22, Ciara put a sporty edge on her live performance in Atlantic CIty last month with a black jersey paired with skinny jeans and trainers. The songstress also showed us her washboard abs with a second less-is-more approach to numerals. She cut it short with a cropped ’1991′ sweater from Topshop to which she brought some grunge appeal with ripped denim and rugged work boots.

Celebrities Love… The Delvaux ‘Madame’ Bag

The Delvaux ‘Madame’ really gets around. The shoulder bag, which is available at Barneys, is the hot new commodity among style-forward femmes.

Like any good partner, the leather purse is equal parts sophisticated and sexy. And the bag certainly proves that boxy can be beautiful.

We have seen Katie Holmes bring along this Delvaux number on several occasions. She recently added a sultry pop of red to her otherwise casual, monochromatic sweater set with the ruby-coloured edition.

During New York Fashion Week, Olivia Palermo bundled up with her own double-feature, showing us her chic street style with both the grey and black-and-red versions.

Just yesterday, a party-dress-clad Sienna Miller prettied up the ‘Madame,’ when she threw it over her shoulder for a night out at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City

If I had to choose a colour, it would be the black-and-red. Discrete from the front, with its black leather and gold hardware, this ‘Madame’ reveals quite the lady-in-red with crimson side panels and a dual-toned strap. It’s no surprise so many have taken her out for a spin.

Celebrities Love…Jimmy Choo ‘Fitch’ Sandals

New for Spring /Summer and already becoming the ‘IT’ shoe on the red carpet for 2013 are the Jimmy Choo ‘Fitch’ sandals.

With an ultra-feminine silhouette, crafted from exquisite French Chantilly lace and boasting a 4.7” heel, the romantic sandals come in a range of colours including the popular gold, black and pink.

Leslie Mann kickstarted the shoe lust wearing a pink pair to the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards.

We have since seen the sandals on Ashley Judd, Thandie Newton, Jessica Chastain, Freida Pinto and most recently Megan Gale.

I’m sure there are many more ‘Fitch’ Choo spottings to come.
