Best Newcomer 2015 – Daisy Ridley

Best Newcomer 2015 - Daisy Ridley

You don’t have to be a Jedi super-fan to appreciate the charm of Daisy Ridley, who appears in the highly anticipated ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’

New to the scene, the British starlet has immediately channeled the force of fashion with an impressive lineup of looks for the film’s promo tour. She’s already snagged Best Dressed of the Week for the light-as-air whimsicality of her Chloe sheer white polka-dot dress.

And, although she’s a newcomer, she’s none to shy to step out in a variety of styles, moving deftly from ethereal confections to a Christian Dior checquered pant suit and a vintage-inspired, girly Chanel frock.

Staking her red-carpet claim with fun, youthful sophistication, she’s a force to be reckoned with.

Best Dressed Couple 2015 – Benedict Cumberbatch & Sophie Hunter

Best Dressed Couple 2015 - Benedict Cumberbatch & Sophie Hunter

You could call Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter a fashion illustration of the perfect match.

The dapper Brit and his theatre maven wife may have just been recently married this year, but together they have already synced their style.

Right off the bat, they started the year off with solid footing at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards—she in a floral Erdem metallic jacquard design and he in a classic tux, each playing to their strengths.

The awards season success streak continued at the Oscars, where her pregnancy enhanced her glow in a breathtaking custom Lanvin red one-shoulder gown. The saturated hue was only elevated alongside Benedict in his crisp white tuxedo blazer.

No matter the occasion, the power pair exudes an attitude of romantic confidence and sophisticated panache. More couples should take lessons from this well-dressed duo.

Best Dressed Plus One 2015 – Jenna Dewan Tatum

Best Dressed Plus One 2015 - Jenna Dewan Tatum

Channing Tatum easily had the best accessory on the red carpet in his plus one: wife Jenna Dewan Tatum.

Her style was easily of the leading lady variety, but rather than steal the spotlight, she shared it with her leading man as the perfect counterpart.

It’s always a fine balance for the plus-one—to duly impress with well-choreographed style dance that doesn’t overpower nor shrink away. But Jenna has the modish moves down pat.

She and her handsome stud couldn’t have made for a more gorgeous coupling than at the Golden Globe Awards in which her lemon-meringue yellow gown was flawless next to his sharp tuxedo.

And, that pristine white Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 jumpsuit with a smattering of embellishments won’t soon be forgotten for its simple, glam attitude that has not even the faintest dash of try-hard.

Her recent Monique Lhuiller spring-green strapless embroidered tulip dress with white degradé flowers won her Best Dressed of the Week.

Film Festival Queen 2015 – Diane Kruger

Film Festival Queen 2015 - Diane Kruger

The Film Festival Queen crown has been passed from Blake Lively to Diane Kruger for 2015, and the actress is certainly worthy.

A red-carpet royal in her own right, the German actress left us spellbound with her flair for the dramatic at the 2015 Venice Film Festival.

With a host of memorable fashion entrances, she swept across the fest in such looks as an embellished white Prada dress with a quirkily whimsical train along with the dark intrigue of a Valentino Couture black gown.

However, it was the structural, contoured glamour of her crimson-red BOSS that saw her at her modern and chic finest.

Most Unpredictable Style – Zendaya Coleman

Most Unpredictable Style - Zendaya Coleman

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again—I always love to see what Zendaya Coleman delivers on the red carpet, as she does not know the meaning of “boring.”

The up-and-comer has more than arrived on the style scene, carving out an impressive course of designer outings that have zero sense of consistency save for their beautifully unexpected quality.

While some stars serve up a steady course of classic dressing, she puts the guesswork back into the red carpet and has yet to meet a look she won’t try at least once.

The subtly directional pieces she wears aren’t for the faint of fashion heart. But, with her statuesque, modelesque frame and cool-girl attitude, she rocks them at a level few could hope to attain.

Case in point? That Rosie Assoulin cotton seersucker cropped top and exaggeratedly flared pants at the recent Diamond Ball in Santa Monica, California. Or, how about her hip-hop, neon scene at the iHeart Radio Music Awards.

Of course, when in doubt, a pair of furry pompom sandals is always a good idea in the delightfully unpredictable world of Zendaya.
