Best Dressed Award
This is the impact I wanted Cameron Diaz to make, but instead that honour goes to Sienna Miller.

I love the sea green colour of her Swarovski-encrusted Twenty8Twelve Fall 2009 dress.

The length is perfect to show off her pins, and the shoulder pads are subtle enough not to draw any Balmain comparisons.

The Brit actress carried a silvery Chanel clutch, and wore pair gorgeous Nicholas Kirkwood gold heels, to complete this stunning look.

I Don’t Follow Red Carpet Rules Award
If we expected Kristen Stewart to wear a cute pink mini dress, with silver strappy sandals, we were wrong.

She hit the red carpet wearing a Yigal Azrouël Fall 2009 red and black dress, with a cross cross detail on the sheer yoke, and a wide black belt.

I can imagine her being wrestled into this dress, and her stylist compromising on the Converse sneakers, but she totally rocks this look.

Best Black Award
Leighton Meester took a risk at the Costume Institute Gala, which didn’t pay off for me, but this edgy cut-out Emilio De La Morena Spring 2009 dress totally works.

This interesting dress has peek-a-boo parts, sheer panels, folds, and cut-outs, which Blair Waldorf wouldn’t approve of, but totally love.

She completes her look with Brian Atwood Brie purple suede ankle boots.

Risk That Paid Off Award
Taraji P. Henson certain got into the spirit of this fun awards ceremony, wearing a black and white strapless printed Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 bustier dress.

The part French maid, part Chinese porcelain inspired look is definitely daring, and with her fun-loving personality she totally pulls it off.

I love how she plays up the ruffled detail on the back of her skirt, and her punky spiky new ‘do.

Moving Out Of Her Comfort Zone Award
This Moschino Fall 2009 red and navy floral print sleeveless dress with a ruffled hem, seems a little out of Lauren Conrad’s comfort-zone, which I really appreciate.

It feels a bit dark and mysterious, which is complemented with dark red lips, and black strappy booties.

I only wish she had pulled her hair back, to show off the floral shoulder detail.

Best Use Of Colour Award
I love to see bold bright colours on the red carpet, which is why I love Vanessa Hudgens peach satin Max Azria dress.

The dress is very grown up, but she injects her youthful glow and enthusiasm, to make this a perfect red carpet look, which she pairs with Jimmy Choo shoes, and a Nancy Gonzalez bronze clutch.

I really glad she didn’t go full on boho, with a printed maxi dress, which we’ve seen many times from her.

Hate The Hair, Love The Dress Award
I love Megan Fox’s black and gold Dolce & Gabbana strapless brocade cocktail dress, which she had shorten. It really suits her dark, mysterious persona, plus it shows off her toned figure.

She wisely kept accessories to a minimum, and added a bit of spice via her Christian Louboutin Differa sandals.

The biggest downsides are her hair, overly orange glow.

Best Theme Award
At first I hated Ashley Greene’s hair, but then I realised how much it worked with what appears to be a 40s housewife theme.

The hair works with her alluringly form-fitting Dolce & Gabbana floral print dress, with a beautiful, yet subtle voluminous skirt.

A neon yellow clutch, and bold red lips, add a touch of bright colour.

The Kate Beckinsale “This Is Not The Oscars” Award
I was really surprised to see LeAnn Rimes wearing such a formal gown by J.Mendel to the MTV Movie Awards.

She looks beautiful, she really does, but she’s a little overdressed.

Most Vanilla Award
Miley Cyrus opted for a very soft look for this event. I would’ve expected something with a lot more attitude, but she looks lovely in her pale pink cowl neck Moschino Cheap & Chic dress, which had a ruffled detail, going down her back.

The only hint of the wild rock wannabee Miley, was via her rings and bracelets.

Best Re-Run Award
I love Ashley Tisdale’s purple leather Elise Øverland dress, and the accessories she picked really punch up the look, especially those lust worthy Paul & Joe Sister heels.

We’ve seen this look before on the red carpet, but as Ashley wears it so well, that all is forgiven.

Surprisingly Not Predictable Award
I would have expected 3 things from Audrina Patridge.

1. Something low cut
2. Her black Alexander McQueen Bow Clutch
3. Her Balmain studded heels.

She blows that out of the water wearing a loose fitting paillette covered Joey Tierny Couture dress, with a dove grey Alexander McQueen clutch, and cream Louboutin heels.

Nice Dress, Shame About The Shoes Award
Keke Palmer’s look was almost perfect. I really loved her coral embellished Elise Øverland dress. It’s young, it’s fun, it sparkles, and it summery, but those grey booties lose her many points.

Stand Out Award
Malin Akerman stood out the most, because she is the only one who opted for pants, wearing a crisp, white Dolce & Gabbana suit, with a pale blue corset.

Her hair was sleeked back to complete this sophisticated look, which she didn’t over accessorize.

Most Summery Award
Yes Paris Hilton needs a new clutch and shoe combo, but there’s no denying her vibrant vest for spring and summery colours.

I love her cute coral Jenny Packham Spring 2009 strapless mini, with its ruffled skirt, and gold embroidered bodice.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun/Au Natural Award
Monique Coleman must have sensed when she looked in the mirror, that she would get ridiculed for her hair.  I admire her for ditching the extensions, and going au natural. I can’t see many others sporting this look.

Her Christian Louboutin Spartenvol Strass sandals complemented her silver and black spacey mini tutu dress, which you may all hate, but I will take this over a mini dress with tights any day.

She wanted to have fun at this event, and it shows.

This is how you make a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 dress work.

Kerry Washington only slightly modified the dress from the runway, but it still keeps it edge, it’s still sexy and sassy. Despite this being a very strong piece, Kerry still shines through. This look doesn’t feel forced.

She was my joint best dressed of the night.

The actress is wearing the same Fall 2009 Louis Vuitton heels as Leighton.

Georgina Chapman, looking this gorgeous is just too easy for you.

The Marchesa designer is wearing one of my favourite pieces from the her Fall 2009 collection.

This scarlet duchess satin embroidered dress with a bow detail was the jewel in the crown of her collection, and just made Best Dressed for me 3 way tie.

What is it about Kate Hudson and gold gowns, that seems to always work so well?

The actress looked speculator wearing a gold sequined embroidered backless keyhole Stella McCartney gown, with a bronze hard box clutch.

Stella herself looked fantastic wearing a self designed black lace embroidered long sleeve plunge-neck jumpsuit, with black satin pumps.

This Gothic-like look is not what I would have expected from Kate Bosworth, and because it’s different I really like it. Bruce Willis seems to like it too.

The actress wore a Stella McCartney black long sleeve lace and silk gown, with marcel waves, and red lips that really pop.

Liv Tyler completed Stella’s Angels, by wearing a navy bead embroidered plunge neck Stella McCartney gown, with navy platform pumps.

The sophisticated elegance she is oozing, is simply breath-taking.

I was excited to see Marisa Tomei, and she didn’t let me down.

The actress continues to make great style choices after awards season, wearing a vintage Adrian ivory crepe gown, with a intricate embroidered detail cascading down the front of the gown.

An ivory clutch, matching heels, and a floral hair accessory complete the look.

No one should be surprised that Renee Zellweger is wearing a strapless Carolina Herrera Fall 2009 gown. Herrera’s muse is nothing but consistent with her look.

What’s surprising is that the gown doesn’t appeared to be modified from the runway, and she’s also sporting a ponytail, which is not exactly clear in this picture.

Kristin Dunst wore something similar to this Chanel Spring 2007 Couture navy gown, to the 2007 Oscars, but she didn’t quite have the poise, and confidence to pull it off, like she did in this gown last night.

The embroidered details are divine.

Claire Danes glows in her stunning two-tone asymmetrical Armani Privé gown.

When Agyness Deyn evokes old Hollywood glamour like this, it’s hard to hate.

Her metallic silver Burberry gown only elongates her already tall frame.

Her white gold and diamond pave Bvlgari necklace compliments her gown perfectly, plus she has a yellow gold tourmaline, emerald and diamond ring.

Rachel Bilson opted for something sexy, young, short and fun, wearing a ruched green Bally by Brian Atwood dress, with Bally python slingbacks.

Lake Bell’s androgynous works for me.

Dude looks like a lady wearing a black tailored suit, whilst carrying a Raven Kauffman Couture clutch.

For half a second, I thought she was Penelope Cruz.

Surprisingly safe for Katy Perry, I would have expect her and not Leighton Meester to be the wildcard for the night.

Her Tommy Hilfiger silk cobalt blue halter gown, is very sexy and elegant on her, and I adore the colour.

The cuff has a Woman Woman feel to it.

Eva Longoria’s black wore an incredibly sexy Diane von Furstenberg dress, with an open back and keyhole front, but the necklace feels a bit heavy.

I was about to say that Dontalla Versace didn’t modify her dress for once, but I notice that her Versace Fall 2009 aqua blue gown, doesn’t have the side split like the runway piece.

Cindy Crawford has not age a day in 20 years.

The Uber model arrived wearing a cobalt blue Versace Fall 2009 gown, with safety pins, and a thigh high split.

All her accessories matched her dress, and so did her smoky make-up.

I wish Allegra Versace had worn something more colourful, but I do like the construction on her Atelier Versace Spring 2009 mini dress.

As Marc Jacobs was the chair of this event, I was interested to see which Marc Jacobs piece Anna Wintour would wear. Instead she opted for a white and black trimmed Chanel Spring 2009 Couture gown.

I’m glad it’s something new, despite it feeling quite familiar.

Ciara wowed in a black and white backless Emilio Pucci gown, with embellished details going down the side.

Ivanka Trump looked like a fairy princess wearing a custom blush tulle Brian Reyes floret gown, with her own Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, a Judith Leiber clutch, and Christian Louboutin ‘Bow T Dorcet’ heels.

If I was skilled enough in photoshop, I would have etched out Amber Rose’s tattoo, because it ruins everything great about this look.

She didn’t go crazy, as I expected her too. Had she worn something like Leighton, I wouldn’t have been surprised.

The sexy silhouette, and the ravishing red colour, it what made me fall in love with this gown.

I have been going back and forth about Mary-Kate Olsen’s Christian Lacroix Fall 2007 Couture gown since yesterday, which is why I have posted it last.

Is it too costumey? Is she too short to pull it off? Is it too crazy and ott?

And today, I have decided the answer is no to all those questions.

The gown is outstanding, with the metallic lace and silver-embroidered bustier-basque, plus tiered ruffled skirt. I think she pulls it off quite nicely.

Ravashing In Red/Best Dressed Award
Patsy Kensit gives Louise Redknapp and Michelle Ryan a masterclass on how to wear a red gown.

The mermaid Dolce & Gabbana gown, with a pleated train, and floral corsage detail at the waist, was so exquisite that Patsy was Best Dressed at this event for me.

Best International Award - despite being born in the UK
Although Mischa Barton brought a touch of Hollywood to this UK awards do yesterday, she wore one of our London based designers.

Her floor-length long-sleeved gown was from the Osman Yousefzada Fall 2009 collection.

I love the gold turtle-neckline, but it would have been nice had she wore her hair back so we could have got the full effect of the detail.

Best Maternity Award
If I didn’t already know Tess Daly was pregnant, I would never have guessed.

Her 3.1 Phillip Lim ruffle-front shift dress, does a very good job of disguising her baby bump.

The radiant mum-to-be wore her dress with a black clutch, gold bangle, and tribal inspired Jimmy Choo Serena strappy sandals.

Best Use Of Accessories Award
Miranda Raison dove grey dress is gorgeous, but what I love about this look the most is the pink shimmering belt she paired with the dress. Without it, I think this dress would have looked so plain.

Best Embellishments Award
Hannah Murray grey tights work better with her Collette Dinnigan Fall 2008 silver dress with a feather detail on the skirt.

You may remember that Fearne Cotton wore this same dress to the National Television Awards last year.

On Trend Award
Liz McClarnon doesn’t usually do elegant, but that is how she presented herself yesterday in the colour of the season: nude.

Her asymmetrical gown, with pretty flower embellishment was definitely the right choice for her.

Best Use Of Colour Award
Davina Mccall wore a cobalt blue draped gown. I love the detail on the front, and how she didn’t over accessorize her look.

I love that she opted for a lilac clutch, instead of a predictable black clutch.

Sexy Back Award
The lace trend maybe over, but that didn’t stop Lisa Maxwell wearing this lace backless gown, with a bow detail on the front.

Summertime Floral Award
The way our British summer time is going; glorious sunshine yesterday, rain today. Lucy Benjamin did well to give her floral Matthew Williamson silk lamé dress an airing.

Lord knows when she’ll get to wear it again.

High Fashion Award
Jamie Winstone gave us some high-fashion wearing black Chanel Pre-Fall 2009 dress, with jeweled brooches, and strappy metallic sandals. Hot pink lips complete the look.

You’re Never Too Old To Be Fabulous Award
The grand dames of British Television were not to be out done by their younger counterparts.

Barbara Windsor and June Brown aka Peggy Mitchell and Dot Cotton from Eastenders, looked sensational. Barbara wore a black gown, with a sheer yoke, that tastefully shows off her cleavage.

For me June looks outstanding. First off, I LOVE her hair like this. Secondly her cream skirt suit with embellished jacket is sublime.
