Tessa Thompson In Jason Wu – Film Independent 2018 Spirit Awards Press Conference

Tessa Thompson joined Lily Collins at the Film Independent 2018 Spirit Awards press conference on Tuesday (November 21) in West Hollywood, California.

The actress made a bold statement in Jason Wu Spring 2018. The contrasting prints expertly woven together gave the dress wonderful movement for a thoroughly modern feel.

I am enamored with the way the dress presents a different finish when it’s static compared to when it is in motion on the runway. The red carpet version has a sultry allure with the slit just visible from certain angles.

Her orange pumps enhanced the saturated shades in the frock.

Charlotte Le Bon In Christian Dior – ‘La Promesse’ Paris Premiere

Charlotte Le Bon stepped out at the ‘La Promesse’ Paris premiere on Tuesday (November 21).

Christian Dior has been a fixture on the red carpet with countless celebrities donning the brand’s popular sheer dress with logo briefs and bra.

The French Canadian actress went in a different direction, teaming a Dior black silk bustier dress with a checkered wool jacket and Dior boots.

I love the fun, youthful feel the ensemble has with the jacket worn off her shoulders and the playful volume in the skirt.

Had it been a more formal affair, I would have said this is something better suited to a press conference. However, this was actually a more casual premiere so I think the separates were appropriate.

Michelle Dockery In Galvan & Osman – ‘Godless’ New York Premiere & Build Series

Michelle Dockery has been a busy lady first attending the ‘Godless’ New York premiere on Sunday (November 19). Then she stopped by the Build Series to discuss ‘Downtown Abbey: The Exhibition’ on Monday (November 20) in New York City.

‘Godless’ New York Premiere: This Galvan Spring 2016 wrap jumpsuit was refined and modern without being contrived. It’s a shame about the slight creasing on the trousers because this fit her perfectly and had a quiet elegance.

Build Series: She punctuated a dark Osman Spring 2018 jacket and trousers with a cotton candy pink roll neck and coordinating Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps. The colour combination is cheerful yet sophisticated with the slim, cropped silhouettes adding more dimension. The coral red lipstick was another intriguing element.

Lily Collins In Zimmermann – Film Independent 2018 Spirit Awards Press Conference

Lily Collins stepped out at the Film Independent 2018 Spirit Awards press conference on Tuesday (November 21) in West Hollywood, California.

There is an ethereal prettiness to the Zimmermann Spring 2018 dress with the soft pastel blue print and the lacy hem.

What makes the frock truly memorable for me is the alluring undertone the slits give it.

There are many who are fatigued with the mere suggestion of a cut-out, but these ones feel fresh, especially with the addition of the crisscross detail.

The placement might not be perfect, but I appreciate the innovation, and find they work well with the rest of the dress.

White pointed-toe pumps completed the whimsical style.

Diane Kruger In Vera Wang – ‘In the Fade’ (‘Aus dem Nichts’) Hamburg Premiere

Diane Kruger attended the Hamburg premiere of ‘In the Fade’ (‘Aus dem Nichts’) on Tuesday (November 21) in Germany.

If you were on the fence as to whether Diane Kruger was back to her best, this Vera Wang Spring 2018 look will be pushing you over to the right side.

This dress starts with check fabric and ends in a veritable party of sequins, bugle beads, bra straps and frilled sleeves.

You’ve just gotta love this for the melanging party-time cool with a sense of modern decadence.

Nieves Alvarez In Gucci – Vanity Fair Party

Nieves Alvarez attended the Vanity Fair Party in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday (November 22).

I can’t say I was ever a fan of this Gucci Spring 2016 gown to begin with, but I’m always willing to be swayed.

Unfortunately, Nieves was not the lady to do that.

If anything, this gown looks more complicated and overly fussy off the runway.

There is just too much going on, and none of it makes much sense to me, especially when Nieves’s style has always been built on effortless elegance.
