Kelsey Asbille In J.W. Anderson – ‘Wind River’ LA Premiere

Kelsey Asbille was also at the ‘Wind River’ LA premiere on Wednesday (July 26), joining Elizabeth Olsen.

The beauty of this J.W. Anderson Fall 2017 look was how gracefully she wore its loosely draped silhouette punctuated by the experimental edge of leather shoulder straps.

The cool, calm, and collected glamour was enhanced by her romantic waves and red lip along with Eva Fehren earrings and Tamara Mellon ‘Reverse Frontline’ sandals.

Did you like her feminine interpretation of the look as much as I did?

Jordana Brewster In Victoria Beckham – Cuyana Essential Women Event

Jordana Brewster was at the Cuyana Essential Women Event on Wednesday (July 26) in West Hollywood, California.

No matter what she’s wearing, Jordana always seems to command a laid-back ease with her looks.

And, I would say that mood continued even with the more decorative lace motif that composed her Victoria Beckham Resort 2017 top & skirt

When styled with her sleek braid along with black sandals and a matching clutch, she dressed up the pieces just a bit for a look that was all about easy yet festive summer elegance.

Who’s That Girl? Natalia Dyer

You might know her as Nancy Wheeler in Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things.’ While up-and-coming starlet Natalia Dyer’s character—or even her style—may precede her, she’s carving out a name for herself both on-screen and on the red carpet.

In fact, she caught our attention early on this year at the 2017 SAG Awards, as many readers voted her Best Dressed.

Styled by Brad Goreski, she has shown a strong command of a youthfully feminine aesthetic that doesn’t lack in punchy flair—as can be witnessed in a few of her latest looks.

Discovery’s ‘Manhunt: Unabomber’ World Premiere: For the New York City premiere on July 19, Natalia embraced a jungle print in this mini dress that was notable for its vibrant collection of tropical hues.

‘Stranger Things’ Comic Con Press Conference: Demure and darling—but with a graphic boldness in the floral print—she balanced ladylike sophistication with girly fun in this Oscar de la Renta frock while at Comic-Con 2017 on July 22.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Party: All dressed up and ready to party, Natalia was glowing and golden in another Oscar de la Renta dress that had a similar pouf skirt but its own distinct personality. The shimmery hue was the focal point here—together with her dramatic oxblood lip—so Meira T Designs jewels and Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps merely played supporting roles.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Our menswear roundup of the day takes us to three different places and press occasions for this trio of handsome stars.

Ansel Elgort: Another day, another ‘Baby Driver’ stop for Ansel who was with Eiza Gonzalez in Mexico City for the premiere on Wednesday (July 26). I love the eclectic variety of looks he’s served up recently, with this pink-accented windowpane suit adding to the list. Feather-painted, lace-up shoes were an unexpected finish that proved he’s not afraid to colour outside the lines of the expected norm—or wear baby pink.

Jeremy Renner: Joining Elizabeth Olsen for the ‘Wind River’ LA premiere on Wednesday (July 26), Jeremy made an impressive, formal showing in a sharp Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello tuxedo. Sometimes you just cannot deny the power of a classic.

James Franco: As executive producer of ‘The Deuce,’ James came out for the 2017 Summer TCA press tour in Beverly Hills on Wednesday (July 26). Without taking his look too seriously, he wore a cool, off-duty Dolce & Gabbana ensemble that cheekily celebrated the designers with their cartoonish patches on the bomber jacket. The relaxed look was styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Wolfgang’ brogue boots.

Eiza Gonzalez In Zuhair Murad – ‘Baby Driver’ Mexico City Premiere

Continuing promotion of ‘Baby Driver,’ Eiza Gonzalez was at the Mexico City premiere on Wednesday (July 26).

The Zuhair Murad Pre-Fall 2017 collection emphasized a certain lush side of excess, and that was perfectly encapsulated with this ensemble that was dominated by lavish, intricate embroideries of vibrant flowers inspired by Chinese art.

Matchy-matchy isn’t always the right answer, but on this occasion, I loved seeing the subtle sultriness of the cropped blazer worn with the pants for a fluidity of form that was streamlined despite the bold floral motif.

Because a heavily embellished look such as this could easily be overcooked, I was relieved to see that Eiza kept her accessories to a bare minimum with bombshell waves and black pumps that all but faded into the background.

Alexa Chung & Bergdorf Goodman Host The ‘Lonely Hearts Club’ Event

Alexa Chung’s Lonely Hearts Club celebrated its U.S. launch with a very un-lonely soiree at New York City’s Bergdorf Goodman on Tuesday (July 25). A number of pretties turned out to support the designer girl of the night, all wearing looks from her Pre-Fall 2017 collection.

Alexa Chung: With a look very much in keeping with her girly-tomboy edge, Alexa played host in an ALEXACHUNG button-front pinafore dress styled with an easy blouse and Mary Jane-esque slides.

Hari Nef: With an emphasis on the girly side, Hari donned a feminine ALEXACHUNG garden tiered dress that had all the breezy whimsy of summer with its swishy, floral vibe. Her pastel-pink sandals perfectly complemented the palette of the dress, with a tiara to finish it off the summer-princess look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The ‘Detroit’ premiere in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday (July 25) brought a number of men to the red carpet this week, with the Paris premiere of ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ rounding out this mid-week roundup.

Will Poulter: For the premiere of ‘Detroit,’ Will kept it traditionally safe in a Prada Fall 2017 navy suit sparked with a blue-gray dress shirt and standard maroon tie.

Algee Smith: Also in a Prada Fall 2017 ensemble at the ‘Detroit’ premiere, I was far more jazzed about Algee’s blue number that was only strengthened more by the graphic impact of his patterned yellow-and-black shirting. It made for a punchy yet polished showing that certainly caught my attention.

Anthony Mackie: While too much sheen can be a strike against a look, I still liked Anthony’s bold embrace of colour here, playing off the pinstripe in his blue Isaia suit with the teal dress shirt and tie. It was unusual, yes, but spunky. Salvatore Ferragamo calf-leather, lace-up shoes completed his ‘Detroit’ statement.
